Well, i just saw the latest episode and it wasn't that bad. True, my mind sort of went rogue during the scenes at the gang's temporary lair, but after that, the story had a good feel to it. Though, Shredder's rant about why Karai is his daughter has gotten me wondering and dreading, just like their other moments since Karai's defection.
In the past, Shredder gave the impression that Karai was nothing but means to revenge for him, which is basically what she seemed to be; he only took her as one last blow against Splinter. But now, we're given the impression that he truly cares for her as his own and will do anything to have her back. Which has me wondering, if Karai is saved, who will she return with; Splinter, the birth father who she's known only for a short time and mainly as the master of the ninjas she used to fight on a daily basis, or Shredder, the man who kidnapped her as an infant but still raised her for many years?
Anything can happen, but I think for Karai the lies and pain run too deep to want anything to do with Shredder. This isn't Baxter-1987, at least IMO.
I found "ATTACK, VICIOUS SNAKE WOMAN!" more amusing than I should have.
I watched the show twice, TGFDVR, and I got to say I liked what I saw.
The Mutation of Bebop and Rock-steady while, well, telegraphed really had a industrial feel, like a evil army assembly line.
Then little moments like the sickle and hammer brass knuckles leaving imprints on the turtles during the fight, The Heavy's gun, and Mikey's little disappearing act I'm sure I caught the first time but was a nice kind of Rewatch Bonus.
not a lot of plot on them thar bones but what's there is pretty tasty.
I was kinda hoping that the episode would be a Villain Episode, though I guess I'm gonna have to wait on that front.
I hope the next episode has the turtles following the hint Karai gave to Leo instead of something unrelated.
And any reason why April couldn't come along? Her powers might hace come in handy. Or why Splinter decided to stay behind when his own daughter is lost in more than one way.
There is a very real danger Karai would go into a feeding frenzy upon seeing her natural prey. She was hard enough to manage as it stood. Splinter would risk all to help her, but his presence would have done more harm than good.
I'll say this for the battle with Shredder; while he still curb-stomped the four, it wasn't the effortless shrug-battles of times past.
Eh, good point. Though that doesn't explain why he didn't go along with them in "The Wrath of Tiger Claw". Granted, I believed Karai's mutation would've been inevitable anyway.

Speaking of which, why didn't Tiger Claw try to go for Splinter as well? He's the guy that punched his jetpack into not working.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I'm just glad that we're out of the woods. They had some fun stories there, but it just felt stagnant. Now we've got actual plot rolling again.
Quick question. why in Dimention X will Bebop and Rocksteady want to work for Shredder now? I understand being forced, like Stockman, but it seems like they're going to be rather rebellious now that they're freaks. Heck, once Donnie gets enough retro-mutagen going, I could see them being willing to switch sides in exchange for a dose.

Click for more crappy pixel artWell for starters, Shredder can easily kick them around, just as he did with Xever and Bradford who were just as easily able to subdue them. And just as Bradford placed a mutagen bomb on Stockman to prevent anymore double crossing stunts, I'm sure Shredder will do something to make sure the two stay in line.
These characters, dating back to Toon-Baxter-87, tend to be Turtle-centric in their hating once mutated. They should hate Shredder or the Kraang more, but they will focus it all on the turtles. Shredder having some speculated control in place would only cement this.
I just realized something in regards to Rocksteady and Bebop: Steranko is a stone cold walking brick wall of a man, in other words, he's ROCKSTEADY, like a rhino in fact. Zeck is a hip-hop rapper with an affinity to bopping if that makes sense, BEBOP. Just something i noticed, also, why does he need Rocksteady and Bebop, aren't Rahzar, Fishface and Tiger Claw enough? He might as well have nothing but mutants as his minions instead of ninjas.
He did express an interest in an army of Mutants about two Seasons ago, and now he has the means for it.
You know, with Zeck mutating into Bebop, we now have more than half of the Chinese Zodiac Animals.
1. Rat (Splinter) 2. Snake (Karai) 3. Monkey (Dr. Rockwell) 4. Tiger (Tiger Claw) 5. Dog (Dogpound/Rahzar) 6. Rooster (Dr. Cluckingsworth, yeah, I know she's a chicken, but close enough) 7. Pig (Anton Zeck/Bebop)

Wasn't Dr. Cluckingsworth MD a rooster? It would make the egg thing kind of weird though.
Donnie and Casey referred to the Doc as a "she" in the Speed Demon episode, and I'll trust their word on it.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I have Hens at my place who have combs and such, I think.
x3 Roosters don't lay eggs buddy.
Also, no new episode tomorrow. :(
and male cows don't have utters
also watched the episode yep hen with a comb and wattle, I stand sit comfortably corrected.
Watched it yesterday [the one where they try to find Karai and subtle yet telegraphed nod to Bebop and Rocksteady]...probably the best episode this season.
It's not a "subtle nod," they actually are the new Bebop and Rocksteady, those are going to be their names from now on. It was already leaked a long time ago, but we don't know yet how they get those names exactly. Maybe from Mikey, as usual.

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.I'm not a fan of what the series did with the Utrom.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.Perhaps they'll become a rebel faction of the Kraang at some point?
I think this dethrones Timothy's mutation as the scariest, ja?
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.
