I fixed the description and examples.
Any more thoughts on a rename? Adding "Genre", "Story" or "Show" to the end of the name would make it clearer this is about a type of story rather than the character of the pet itself.

Hmmm, do we have a trope for when the protagonist is an animal in general? This one is a genre about pets specifically. Maybe we need our supertrope/index?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAs far as a rename goes, would Pet Hero suffice? It's the same basic name but implies the hero is a pet rather than that the pet is a hero.
Everything is best in moderation. No, because that would still sound like a character type rather than a story type, and would actually be more of a change than simply adding a third word to the end of the current name.

So is there consensus for a rename, or should we make a single prop crowner?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.BTW, on the wicks, out of 21:
Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, Seven Little Killers, Cast the Expert, The Dark Elf Trilogy, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Kage Kara Mamoru!, misuse it as a character type.
Air Buddies, Airbud, and Beethoven, Old Yeller, Heres Boomer, Lassie are Zero Context Examples or use it is a way that could be confused with the character instead of a show type.

And some of those wouldn't even fit the Action Pet trope I have.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Rename crowner here.
Crowner hooked.

Rhymes with "Protracted."We need just a few more votes to finish this up.
The next four voters get cake!
I just voted. Can I have cake?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerCalling crowner in favor of minor rename.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Anyone have a strong preference between Heroic Pet Genre and Heroic Pet Stories?
Heroic Pet Stories, since there can be story arcs of this without the entire work being it.
Calling someone a pedant is an automatic Insult Backfire. Real pedants will be flattered.I agree, for that reason.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I like Heroic Pet Stories, or just Heroic Pet Story.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYeah, the singular form is preferred for most tropes.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. This is a genre trope, like Sports Stories.
Bump. One measly vote so far?

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerDid the rename as per procedure. Plenty of Zero Context Examples though, now sitting on discussion pages.

Crown Description:
The trope is about a genre, but the name make it looks like a character type. The page has been widely misused as a character type.
Meh, its a semantic difference anyway so I'm not going to stress.
I copied my enhanced description over to the page. I also provided more context Live-Action TV section. I still need to do the Film section.
I'm not to sure if Wallace And Gromit qualifies. Has anyone here seen it?
