Long ago, an ancient superweapon, capable of shaping worlds, changing the laws of physics, and even influencing life and death, was lost. It was another casualty of a world-shattering war, that saw the deployment of indescribable horrors and carnage on a galactic scale. Its name was Sifuri, and, as the ashes settled on the remains of cities and combatants, it was decided that some things were best forgotten, and Sifuri faded from memory as its creators set about rebuilding and reconstuituting all that had turned to ashes. For billions of years, Sifuri lay abandoned and alone on a distant world, safely out of the ands of its creators and never to be used again.
But now, things are beginning to change. The embers of war are begining to stir. A powerful force looms on the horizon, and Sifuri may be all that stands between it and the destruction of its creators. Two criminals, seeking to atone for their misdeeds, assemble two competing teams- one based around the supernatural, the the other around the scientific- to recover the artefact. It will be a long and perilous quest across the multiverse to recover Sifuri... but will the forces of magic or science prevail?

Hello once more, and welcome to the signup thread for A Game Of Gods: Taskforce Sifuri. Now, the first thing that you're probably wondering is why exactly we need another spinoff. The answer is that this was initially going to be a plot in the current Infinities game, but due to my worry that the mini-epic would would take too long, I decided to spin it off into its own game. That said, this game is extremely close to Infinities, moreso than TOTG was to the original AGOG. Because of that, there will be several crossovers between the two. Besides that, all the same rules in AGOG, and general RPing etiquette should apply.

Signups
Naturally, the biggest 'gimmick', so to speak, of this RP is the fact that characters who have science-based powers are pitted against those who have magic based powers. I'm really hoping for even teams for this, so if we have too many people on one side than some people may be given control of a second character for the opposite team. Characters who use both magic and science, such as Magitek, will be admitted on a case-by-case basis.

- Universe: (series they come from)
- Background: (brief bio of their past, motivations, etc.)

The game itself may not open for a while, so don't hold your breath. This is a way of seeing how may people want to sign up.

Yeah, resurrecting people from the dead is not happening.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Mistral can do that!
But its only useful on willing ghosts. Sifuri members don't turn into ghosts.

So I have been thinking of signing up more characters for a while already. Azure's sign-up was the final push, so here we go.
- Name: Glacius
- Universe: Killer Instinct
- Appearance: BEHOLD ICE-CHRIST◊
- Team: Science
- Background: H2O-based alien from a distant planet, far away from a dystopian, corporate-ruled Earth. Glacius was once a curious traveler, having stumbled onto Earth in search of other life-forms in space. However, he crash-landed when Earth's gravitational field messed with his ship, and soon after, the humans there treated him cruelly. Captured by Ultratech, the mega-corporation forced him to participate in their "Killer Instinct" gladiatorial fighting tournament, in an immature bid to prove humanity's superiority to Glacius' alien race.
- Eventually escaping his captors, and despite the harrowing experience he went through, Glacius bore little ill will towards the whole of the human race. As a matter of fact, some time after leaving, he returned to Earth in order to retrieve samples of his race's technology stolen by Ultratech, not wanting humanity's greed to cause them any more suffering or make them more dangerous than they can afford.
- Powers: Glacius is an odd being. Most of his abilities tie in with his ice-man aesthetic.
- His body is one capable of taking on a liquidized form. He is perfectly capable of controlling this form, crawling along surfaces like a blob and entering small spaces.
- Glacius' unique Power Armor takes the form of a sheet of brilliant ice around his lean body. Glacius can control the H2O that covers his body, creating lances or other bladed weapons made of ice out of his armor. He can also control the water in the air surrounding him, freezing water vapor to form ice projectiles out of thin-air, creating spikes of ice from a distance with the same method, and freezing water vapor into more ice-crystals to enforce the protection of his body armor are just a few possible ways he implements this.
- Being a tall, lean and mean alien being, Glacius possesses a great deal of strength. He is generally able to swing a grown man around with ease, or might be able to lift a small car. However, objects larger or heavier than said small car (say a truck, giant boulders and buildings) are more than likely going to be beyond him.
- Personality: Once a naive and curious traveler, who believed that his race's legend of the brutality of humans to be an exaggeration, being proven wrong has humbled the alien being. He feels honor-bound and responsible to keep his race's technology out of human hands before they can cause danger. He may have the same initial opinion of assembling Sifuri, but can be convinced otherwise that it is for a good cause. That said, Glacius is not above making hard decisions, as one of his possible arcade endings shows him calculating that humanity has become too dangerous, and for the good of the rest of the universe, leaves his technology on Earth and self-destructs them from afar, nearly destroying the Earth in massive explosions. Being an alien, Glacius doesn't speak English, so he may need help translating.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiMaria didn't count when I suggested it.
You technically shouldn't have it so....?
Can I have an estimate for his durability, please? And is there any way to hurt him in liquid form?
Let's see...
I should add that he's not exactly quick on his feet, though he can perform a quick shoulder charge over a short distance. With that in mind, in terms of durability, his Ice Armor should be able to protect against conventional weaponry and possibly large objects ramming into him (like say, a truck or a giant rock).
It should be less viable against Magic (especially of the fire variety) and other attacks that are too large in scale.
Also, he definitely should be able to be hurt in liquid form.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiThe armor seems fine. I assume you can't just punch him in liquid form to hurt him. What about energy, electric, and heat attacks damaging him? How does that sound?
Absolutely. Sounds good.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiRighto. Barring objections from my fellow GMs, Glacius is accepted. Welcome to Team Science.
And now, we begin the ritual that will summon the Changer of the Words, that the Great List, set in stone for we miserable mortals, but pliable as putty to those neither man nor god.
Bring forth the sacrifice! Begin the chanting! Let these two supplicants may be raised on high, and forever war in the names of black sorcery and cold reason!
dramatic much
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiSilence, You Fool!! They possess strange and untold powers, and those who displease them are never seen again!
i'll fight you
The ritual is complete. Eisen will not taste blood today.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Man, Cinder so beats Glacius. :P jk
Nah, last time I checked he was burning for hundreds of years underground, guarding the firs- wait no that's lord of cinder
I am considering trading supergirl for superman (supernerfed of course) on this game.
Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.Isn't this the second time you've traded characters?
yeah Is that against the rules? if so then nevermind.
Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.@Here:Funny thing is Estelle's no stranger to getting sacrificed.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850@Stephan: Well Glacius got picked first for the new KI so HA.

May be planning a Team Science sign-up very soon. My next post here will probably be it.
