Yeah. And The Fandom Rejoiced already exists in the form of Gushing About Shows You Love. If you move it to the Sugar Wiki, it has no reason to exist. It'll just clutter up and make YMMV pages ugly with long lists of "don't you just love this new thing?!".
Just zap it. =/
It's what everything does now =/
What everything does? o_O
Sorry, I meant everybody. My bad. I wrote way too fast. =/

We could redefine the trope to strictly be about announcements, since thats what the Trope Namer was. It'd take a lot of treking through pages deleting misuses...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Which is what I'd prefer. It seems silly how many people would rather just do the easy thing. This trope will be unchecked at the Sugar Wiki, and is just going to become a specific version of Gushing About Shows You Like. There's about 70 examples per letter (and some letters, like T, probably being considerably longer, and Q being considerably shorter). If we can get people to volunteer for taking certain letters, we could get this cleaned up.
Count me in. But we still need to find a way to fix future misuse. And since the misuse is located in wicks, curating won't help since there's no easy way to see where the sinkholes are being added or when.
I am all for doing my part of the huge clean up, but I don't want to be doing it again 6 months.

just looking at what the thread has said the description means (adaptions seems like it will be crap, when suddenly they announce something And The Fandom Rejoiced), doesn't that mean this trope is basically Author's Saving Throw as applied to adaptations?
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider! Not really. It's specific about "announcements" for adaptations.
You have my vote. I see this far too often, with various reasons including, "They're making an adaptation!", "They included actor x!", "This character did this cool thing!", "This song is awesome!" and many other variants.
I see this is still going on. I have an idea! Why not a new trope about fans rejoicing about stuff that happened in the actual work that wasn't known before hand? An example I can think of off the top of my head is Zecora appearing in the MLPFIM episode "Luna Eclipsed". Fans were hyped about it being a Luna episode, but Zecora appearing out of nowhere in a supporting role in the episode was a pleasant surprise.
Thoughts?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you! That seems so trivial, why do we need a page for that? It's literally "X Pleases me".
Calling the crowner. Locking the crowner
I haven't alrady moved the page since I have a question: After making the current page a redirect, are we supposed to namespace the wicks, to cut the wicks, to cut the redirect or what?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBumping for a response.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOK, so I've moved And The Fandom Rejoiced to Sugar Wiki, indexed it on Sweet Exists, namespaced its indexes and redirects and put And The Fandom Rejoiced on YMMV Redirects, but before any further action I need an answer to the following questions:
- What is to do with the wicks?
- Should SugarWiki. And The Fandom Rejoiced be rewritten, and how?
Most of the wicks are probably going to need to be removed, but not necessarily as a repair issue—more for general hyperboloid problems that would need cleanup even if we'd taken no action here.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I support the announcement-related redefinition, but how shall we know if someone adds something they heard about by chance, after it was announced? (eg, An old TV show you really like has started appearing late at night in reruns! Did you post it here after you read about it on a fan site, or did you just find it by chance while drowsily flipping through the channels?)

It looks like there was also a consensus to rename this reaction. If this is going to be done, let's see some activity.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Then we'd need a new name, and Outside of something wordy as hell like Announcement That Wins Over A Skeptic Fandom I am kind of without idea.
I made a crowner here and hollered for its hooking, but it was apparently missed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, I notice that SugarWiki. And The Fandom Rejoiced seems to be gaining in inbounds fast and in wicks, too.
By this point, I just want to redlink the /Main/ redirect somehow. And to make the Sugar Wiki page into an "examples only here, please" thing.

Crown Description:
- And The Fandom Rejoiced has been renamed once before. The new name has caused massive misuse of 80% or higher.
- The page is the subject of a lot of hyperbole. UPPERCASE, Bold text, and gushing.
I think it would be better to rename and clean up because really, from what I read, "Moving it to Sugar Wiki requires less work". The way that words is people are too lazy to fix something and will take the easy way out and just take something and move it somewhere else.
Say it in red! "People die when they are killed."
