The first two are highly entertaining, so bring on a third.
Quorra needs to be the main character this time.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I'd just like a lead who doesn't so accurately imitate the depth of emotion you get from the AI code of your average FPS mook.
"Tyyr's a necessary evil. " SpiritScrew Quorra. THE NAME OF THE MOVIE IS TRON. JUST GIVE HIM TO US.
Darn 2013....thats so far away...at least it gives me time to finish my Tron costume.
You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans.I thought a lot of things about Kevin Flynn but out of all criticisms lack of emotion is one I fail to see. Explain yourself. Well, we know he won't be in this movie anyway unless it is a prequel or something.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackWill Daft Punk be composing again?
Hopefully not. Too much Hans Zimmer interference and ripoffs of The Terminator and Inception.
I'd prefer Clint Mansell or Joby Talbot as composer (both have worked in electronic scores before and neither copy Zimmer heavily).

More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/It's exciting to an extent but as a lot of people think Tron 3 may depend on how successful Tron Uprising is. It certainly looks good but if it turns out bad Tron 3 may not occur.
Despite this I hope Disney does a lot better with this than it's predecessor by getting some plot around and of course giving us TRON in all his User Defending glory.
Dear lord yes. I can't wait.
But honestly, if they're making a third, I want a healthy amount of Tron himself kicking ass. None of this "The Dragon turns out to be brainwashed!Tron in the last act so he can do one awesome thing" bullcrap. He's the title character, for christ's sake. I don't care if Tron is entirely CGI with Bruce Boxleitner's head edited on because Boxlietner is too old to be awesome. Just make him integral to the plot somehow.
Also, cast Cindy Morgan.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I honestly... I liked what they did in the last one but Tron not speaking as he took Clu down was a Missed Moment of Awesome to me. "Rinzler! Take the shot!" "My name is Tron. I fight for the users."
I'm okay if Tron isn't the spotlight character, because he was never the main character. Tron was about Flynn. Legacy was about his Son. It's never been about Tron.
Wrong thread?
I don't have too much to say.Personal fantasy here that I know will never happen. I would love to see Tron 3 have The Grid be hooked up to the Internet and explore those possibilities. Then have Sam go through The Grid and access The Net, visiting a Mainframe where the local sprites have damn good reason to fear Users and their deadly Games. Yup, I'm talking about a crossover with ReBoot.
I wonder if we can convince Disney to buy out Rainmaker Entertainment just to do this?
Byte MeI honestly think this is a bad idea. I'd love to see another TRON movie, but I think it needs a bit of time. Not 27 years, mind you, but a bit of time. Let it sit.
You do realize that Zimmer had nothing to do with it, right?
Ignore.

Actually, Zimmer's people were brought in late to rework the score. [1] Apparently, early audiences couldn't follow the music so Disney hired Zimmer to remix and add additional music. As a result, much of the score sounds like an Inception ripoff.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I thought the music didn't sound very Daft Punk-y.
...Doesn't mean I don't like it, though.
They should have brought in Wendy Carlos to rewrite the score. I was kinda bummed at not so much as a wink to a single theme of the original's score.
I would have liked the second movie more if it had looked a bit more like they were inside a computer instead of a regular place with neon. I mean the first one was great because you knew it could never be a real place.
I liked the second move; it just wasn't as flashy as the first.

Don't you try anything, you baked good you.TRON was Disney showing off it's shineh new computer graphics.
TRON: Legacy was Disney showing off it's shineh new computer graphics, but with way more cool stuff.
I agree with you here. TRON was a revolution. Legacy was Rule of Cool. Of course that doesn't make Legacy outright bad.
Its been unnoficially confirmed by Bruce Boxleitner, and according to him, its only a matter of time before Disney officially confirms it.
We can expect it to be realesed Fall 2013.
