Kamen Rider: General Thread

RX and Kabuto 33.

RX:

• While biking down the road, Kotaro comes across a random scientist. And by comes across, I mean finds him as his ass is getting tossed down the side of a cliff while on his last legs.

• Kotaro: So I can't even take a ride on my bike without dealing with Crisis bullshit now huh? Typical.

• Random Scientist: Protect....bridge.... <Dies>

• Kotaro: Man. Besides the whole dying thing, this dude was sure lucky. I mean, of all the people to give that message to....

• So anyway, Kotaro heads to the random bridge in Shikoku knowing that Crisis bullshti is afoot. General Jak! Give us some exposition!

• General Jak: We gonna turn one of our own monsters into a bomb and blow up dis here bridge! That will somehow allow us to bring our crisis citizens to earth!

• Asshole Generals (except for Gatezone): GENIUS!!!!

• Internal Affairs Crisis Asshole (another forgotten name): If you fail...I'm telling on you...no wait. I'm just gonna kill all of you.

• Jak: Wow. At least we're not under any pressure or anything.

• So since Kotaro randomly shows up like he always does the Crisis gang comes up with a distraction.

• Kotaro: Points for effort, but you guys really should have planted some kind of bomb or something on the boat when you lured me away.

• Crisis Assholes: .....shit.

• But now, the real plan is under way. Kotaro has to steal a helicopter (and now we know why he became a pilot) to catch up to another boat only to meet:

• Crazy Crisis Crab: ....

• Um...dude...

• Crazy Crisis Crab: No. Remember my name! Do it, or this synopsis goes nowhere!

• <Kotaro starts whooping him>

• Crazy Crisis Crab Gazora Gezora (Is that ok? Is it? Fucker): Bitch! I'm a walking bomb! Can't blow me up! Not without blowing everyone else to shit as well!

• RX: Bio-Rider! <Switches to Bio Rider> Bio Blade!

• Gazora Gezora: ......Please don't cut me open. <RX cuts him open, pulls out the bomb and throws it into the ocean> Dude! I asked for one thing! One damn thing!

• So Gezora leads RX to a trap when an energy ray starts zapping him.

• Gezora: Get out of that one bitch! <RX throws the bio blade into the ray and stops it> .....So, I guess I'm dead now.

• And then, he blew up in the proper way. And thus, the day is...

• Gatezone: Told'ja they'd fuck up. So we gotta deal?

• Internal Affairs Asshole: You make this work, and the Emperor might be looking favourably upon you soon.

• Gatezone: Awwww Yeah!

• .....may not yet be saved. See you next ep!

Kabuto:

• Tendou is completely in the dark for once. And now he's actually crying! Even Kagami is feeling sorry for him.

• Tendou: I feel so confused! It just makes me want to.....KILL ALL THE RIDERS!

• Kagami: oh....this gun be bad....

• Hey everybody! It's Renge! She's so chipper....and that's why no one will see the razor wire coming.

• So Tendou begins his plan to gather all the Zecters. This means beating up Kageyama....which I'm pretty ok with.

• Worms are attacking Tsurugi! But don't worry! He's got Discalibur!!! <Pulls unsheathes the sword to reveal that there's no blade. Even the words just kinda stop and stare>

• ....That might be one of the funniest moments in the series, without a doubt.

• And now we got Kageyama teaming up with Rena Mamiya, aka the Bitch worm. And the team up seems to be working.....OH SHIT! IT'S YAGARUMA! AND HE'S GONE EMO!!!

• Yagaruma: Time to use my new Zecter that's never gonna have an explanation for existing! <changes into Kick-Hopper>

• Yagaruma: Ridaaaaaah! Jump! (na na!) Ridaaaaaaaaaah KICK!!!! (na na~!) <Kills all the worms and whups Kageyama>

• Tendou: Well, I suppose we were gonna fight anyway, but now you got something I want.

• Yagaruma: So do you! I want my foot up your ass! And now I can damn well do it!

• And so.....they fight!

• Renge: So...I'm totes a spy. Just thought you should know

The first of the hoppers has arrived. Man. I wish they'd just given the Bee Zecter to someone else. Like maybe Renger, but that would mean a girl got to be a rider, and we all know how hard it is to make that happen.

Or, if you really want to break Kageyama...give Yuka the Bee Zecter for a day as a present. Heck, I'd do it just to see the look on his face.

True, but again, that would require the people in charge being willing to let a girl be a rider, which they have a real hard time doing.

Sure it's happened, but they tend to be temporary, taking the place of male characters, or die.

Out of curiosity, What exactly is this whole thing in regards to female riders that you mention from time to time? Because I really want to hear an in-depth explanation

There's never been a lead Rider who was a woman. It's only ever been guys since the show began. The most glaring one imo is Faiz. We follow a woman all through the first episode, and when she tries to use the belt it flat out tells her no, but lets a complete stranger use it.

Even Super Sentai has had the pink or yellow ranger lead the team every so often.

This is going to be one strange Medical Drama.

Pretty much.

Now, there's an in-story reason for why she couldn't use it, but since another character (who is male and has the same backstory) can use the belt, and there's another belt that may not be bound by the same rules, the fact that she's not a rider is frustrating.

This isn't exclusive to Faiz either. There's a tendency for a weak hand wave of certain female characters (who are often more badass then the male sometimes) not being riders.

Worse yet is the tendency for female riders who do appear to die not too long afterwards, a pattern that wasn't broken for female movie riders until Natsumi from Kamen Rider Decade (who actually died temporarily before becoming a rider) Nadeshiko from Kamen Rider Fourze (who was a sentient alien goo, who returns to her original form at the end of the Fourze / OOO's movie, but comes back during the Wizard / Fourze movie a year later). The true breaker of the pattern was Maya from Kamen Rider Wizard, who shows up in the later part of the series and lives to the end, but also shares her from with two other characters (as in they all look the same except for height) along with some Mooks from the the Wizard solo movie.

And then there's Yoko. She went right back to form, despite appearing even earlier then Maya which is really frustrating because she seemed so great when she first showed up.

And then in TRUE FORM, we have Kiriko, who is a badass, but doesn't get any sort of a belt. And then gets pseudo-riderkick boots and goes straight to being damsel after kicking a training dummy.

And she also gets a vague hand wave for why she couldn't be Drive as well.

I love how the trailer for Faiz even implies Mari will be Faiz. That would have been so cool!

That's a fair assumption.

Both Kiba and Mari are more up front in the episode and the preview especially then Takumi, so thinking one of them would be Faiz is not illogical.

Ironically enough, Kiba is Faiz for a brief period of time if you recall. As for Mari, I had a theory that she had acted as Faiz until the Orphenoch Dna infused into her belt became too low for it to work, hence he being unable to do it when the series began. She seemed to know how it worked pretty well, and she had to have been running form Orphenochs for a while already. Plus, we have a precedent in the form of Kusaka, who ran into the same problem at the end of the series, only since Kaixa is a lot more deadly then Faiz, his continual transforming killed him.

Someone needs to write that Mari fic.

I would, but I know I might turn it into a mushy romance second person perspective fanfic like I did with R63!Takeru and R63!Gou.

So I was watching Movie Wars Ultimatum again (Wizard and Fourze for those who forgot) and I've brought this up before, but since Fourze was 2011/2012, and the Fourze half of the movie was 5 years later, we are currently around the approximate time that Future Gentaro came from. So it hits me that now would be a good time for a short video about how he gets the Fourze Driver back.

You could even make it a special or something. Be a nice way to bring back the Fourze cast too.

Fourze sequel when? If they can make an Amazon sequel/remake decades after it aired they can give me a Fourze sequel. This year would have been perfect since it's both five years after Fourze started and the 45th anniversary of the franchise as a whole but we got Ex-Aide instead.

I prefer that Fourze's story end there, its not like his driver was destroyed by some outside force. He tossed it of his own accord so someone else could grow. He dropped the belt.

That's fine, if someone just decides their time is over. Not enough riders do it in fact.

..I suppose. It's just that it's said during the movie the belt will return when needed.

Not sure why he believes that, but still.

Because he knows about crossovers don't giving a shit.

If I had my way, I'd just have there be a crossover between my three favorites (Faiz, Fourze, and Gaim).

I'm not particular about who crosses over with who, but I like that.

I'd add in my favourites as well too.

Finally got the details on Ghost EP 45 - 46:

Adel:

• Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas, as part of his Hidden Depths, after her death
• He seems to another Expy of Regime Superman, and even also has some of Tenjuro Banno's little The Bad Guy Wins, but will fail soon
• We don't know if the EP 47 preview that he truly indeed also killed Takeru's dad, Ryu in original timeline prior Super Movie War, but we'll find out 6 days later

Igor:

• Yet an new Expy of Medusa Phantom, such as being betrayed by their own master & received something worst

Gyro:

• Everyone Has Standards: Starting from EP 45, as Adel have gone too far risking their army's life energy within Edith's immortal capsule

Steve Bills:

• My God, What Have I Done?: Thanks to Alain, Onari, Shibuya and Narita, Steve is freed from the Gamma's possession. Even though it wasn't himself, but he'll take full responsibility for what Adel and Igor made him commit

Guess whose The Bus Came Back? Javel, Cubi, 2nd Onpu Gamma. Ah yes before those 3 are Frey & Freya, who are actually one, with Freya is the main body + related to the Great Eye

The scan from kamenriderghost tumblr says:

• The Great Eye becomes a Bigger Bad assuming a golden version suit based on Kamen Rider Extremer known as Great Eyezer, but not without Extremer Driver. Seems the same reused/recolored suit is ever since Kamen Rider Drive's Mashin Chaser cloning suit, belt or without belt.
• Edith is the new Kamen Rider Dark Ghost II since Kamen Rider Dark Kiva III/former Kamen Rider Saga/Taiga Nobori

Will Makoto confront his father's murderer, a sword wielding Gamma Ultima? We don't know if Gyro is the one who fought Daigo since he's the only known Gamma Ultima who carries a sword

I just think it would be interesting to see how Takumi and Kouta, being from two of the darkest KR shows, that deal with themes like the darkness inside of humanity, communication, racism, power, the nature of justice and heroism, maturity, transhumanism, and corruption, would interact with Gentaro, who hails from one of the most uplifting KR shows, with themes like friendship, love, redemption, and connection.

If anything, he would definitely give them both hope in their struggles.

I'm pretty sure Kouta would get along cool with Gentaro. He'd probably wish he'd met him sooner.
