Moved to the top of the coding anyway. Not particularly interested in it.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't know...he screams Mr. Fanservice to me, and I don't think he's attractive. Dark hair, broody look, attractive scar...I actually prefer it without the whole body, because a successful EBB more about attitude than physical appearance.

The trope is not about the personality of the character, it is about the sexualisation of a male character. It is not just a character with a large female fanbase it is the one caracter who has the most Shirtless Scene and is a regular object of the Female Gaze.
The current image has some issues. The first is the ugly text on the bottom. This alone is reason enough to replace it.
The character in the image does not look like he is supposed to be sexy. To be hones, if someone would show me this image without context I would assume that the character is a jobless drunk, who regulary beats his wife.
I suggest removing the image and keep the main page image free and put images on the subpages.

I find the current image unobjectionable. I think it is not at all uncommon for Mr. Fanservice to be somewhat restrained, compared to Ms. Fanservice?

Not really, the biggest problem this trope has, is that people want to put every male character who has some female fans on the example list.
But this trope is not about a character beeing attractiv to the female viewer. It is about characters being written in a certain way to appeal to the female viewer in a sexual way.
I want to explain it by using a example of the Spear Counterpart.
Lets say we have this one female character nerdy bookworm, modestly dressed a bit socially acward. She is no Ms. Fanservice material, but she still can appeal to male viewers and have even more fans than the more sexualised slutty cheerleader. Ms. Fanservice and the Spear Counterpart Mr. Fanservice is not about audience reaction, it is about the creators intend.
I always got this trope as being "The Hunk" type Gruff, chiseled features, scared, facial hair kinda unkempt type person and such like Aragorn or Wolverine. Vs the Pretty Boy Bishōnen Legolas.
I am fine with the image content the only reason I want to replace it is the text / watermark on the bottom of the image.
Using Dynasty Warriors as an example
Aragorn lookalike vs
Xiahou Bieber.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I'm pretty sure the Mr. Fanservice is supposed to be there to provide fanservice to a female audience, much like how Ms. Fanservice caters to a male one. Isn't that why an alt title is Mr. Fanservice? The current image may not be bad, but the fanservice aspect is kind of missing.
Courage is not the lack of fear; it's the ability to proceed in spite of fear.Either of those counts as long as the provide fanservice.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickHe definitely provides a lot of fanservice, seeing as not once in the series does he don an actual shirt.
Courage is not the lack of fear; it's the ability to proceed in spite of fear.Better than the current one.
He sure gets lots of chicks.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWait, wouldn't that be Walking Shirtless Scene?
Fight smart, not fair.Walking Shirtless Scene is one of the many tropes that can be used to create this archetype.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAnd that Eyepatch of Power is adding some badass to the mix. I like it. What's with the birds, anyway?
And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know. He's a pirate. I don't know about the games, but in the anime, he has a parrot. I guess the artist wanted to draw him with a lot of chicks.
So, is this image good to go? Do we need a caption as well?
Courage is not the lack of fear; it's the ability to proceed in spite of fear.I'm okay with it. I'm sure I could dig up some Jason Stathom pics if anyone would prefer those.
Fight smart, not fair.Liam Neeson◊ or Viggo Mortensen◊ immediately came to mind.

But I wouldn't call either of them EBB. How many times is either hired just because they're good looking? To attract women? They're bad examples in that respect—because many people think of "good looking with a large female fanbase" is the trope.
Yeah, this trope pic needs to be changed. I got about a dozen that would fit, but hey, the site hates 'em.

Mmmm... Jason Statham. I mean. Right. Ummm...
That one creepy ugly guy from Twilight who is in everything right now would probably work. The weird pale sparkly dude with the stupid hair. He seems to be getting this treatment.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickGod, please no. At the very least, use Taylor Lautner instead.
And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know. He's not ugly, so if he's what attracts people right now then sure. Not my type. But that doesn't matter.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI could see the male characters who walk around shirtless all the time doing a good one for this. I think Statham does a shirtless scene in every movie he's in, except maybe The Expendables.
The Transporter shots: [1]◊, [2]◊, [3]◊.
Caption: the fight is for men, the lack of shirt is for women.

Fight smart, not fair.Just saying. Given how many options there are, I think we should find someone with less of a hatedom.
I like the first one, but it's kind of small. I love the caption, by the way.
My personal pitch: Jason Momoa. 1◊ 2◊ 3◊. I'm pretty sure he has a personal vendetta against shirts.
And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The current image seems a little bit...lacking. Especially if you compare it to the image on the Ms. Fanservice page, which is the Distaff Counterpart to this trope. The poster girl is clearly a source of fanservice, what with her Stripperific outfit, cleavage, Zettai Ryouiki, etc.
But the fanservice isn't as evident in the picture we have for Mr. Fanservice. Sure, it's a decent-looking guy, but we can't even see his whole upper body.
