But it still lost both those fights.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatKiryu technically won the first fight, actually.
Not really. Kiryu was nonfunctioning after the fight and Godzilla just decided to walk off and heal a while.
Hmm... fair point. I concede.
Which two should fight? I say King Ghidorah and Destoroyah.
Destroyah's Micro Oxygen breath and laser horn give him a decisive advantage over anything organic, though.
Cap vs Bats comes out tonight for Advantage members, tomorrow for everyone else.
Please, please show why it would be logical that Cap would win. Gosh I hope he wins.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIf Cap trips Batman's taser, he doesn't have Peter's superhuman durability to back him up. That could be the deciding factor.
What, no previews?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. 45 minutes!
Results: grumble grumble... I figured they wouldn't put Batman up multiple times if he couldn't win at least one. And as this thread already attested, Batman has a superpower. I doubt Cap would throw his shield completely blindly... and those hits from Cap really should've killed him, but I know the video doesn't mean what would actually happen. Oh well.
Next time! Some Gundam character I've never heard of vs. the best solo theme in the history of Power Rangers.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI question the change from Tallgeese to Epyon. At least if it were Tallgese, it would be two white mecha. I know they're trying to push the whole Sixth Ranger thing, but I'm kinda "meh" towards the idea. Then again, I've been lukewarm to the idea of a Gundam vs a Power Ranger mech. I felt like it should've been a mech from another mecha series (though the only one coming to my mind right now is Lancelot).
Also, can anyone remind me what the Tigerzord could do? All I remember is that it had a Tiger mode and it had a saber and that's it. It's been years and I don't remember anything that could compete with any of Epyon's weapons.

The White Tigerzord, according to the Power Rangers wiki, is 24.5 m long and weighs 150 tons. In Beast Mode, it can run at speeds of up to 185 km/h and can fire sonic blasts at opponents. In Warrior Mode, it is armed with a sword, can perfectly copy Tommy's fighting style, and can fire "White Tiger Thunderbolts" energy blasts at enemies.
I guess they are going with Epyon because it's the stronger gundam. I think Tallgeese 3 might be even stronger, but since that's not as iconic they might not think it's as fitting.
#IceBearForPresidentWell, Epyon is - according to the Gundam wiki - 17.4 m tall and weighs 8.5 metric tons. Epyon's top speed isn't mentioned save that in its dragon mode it can fly in space, but I would give it the speed and mobility advantage given that it can fly. In terms of armaments, Epyon is powered by a Ultracompact Fusion Reactor and armed with a variable output Laser Sword - which at maximum output can melt through even the most heavily armoured Gundams, the Epyon Claws - which are used as landing heat in its dragon mode and can rip through Gundam armour, the Epyon shield - a small shield that can block energy-based attacks, the Heat Rod Whip Sword, and two head-mounted Vulcan guns - which are short-range and used to defend against missiles. The Epyon also has a modified version ZERO System that interfaces the Epyon with its pilot's brain, increasing reaction time.
All in all, Tigerzord has a height and weight advantage, but Epyon outclasses it in every other respect.

And Batman gets the win. As much as I agree with their results, I feel like the match should have been closer than it ended up being. And the actual fight was a bit underwhelming. It was pretty short, and outside of a couple good hits at the beginning, Cap didn't have any real outstanding moments. I also find it hard to believe that Batman could stun him for that long (even with his supposed superior knowledge of pressure points) or launch him far enough in the air to break his neck on the way down.
Yeah, based on what I remember from both series when I watched them way back when and from what I'm hearing, it's practically Arwing vs Righteous Indignation all over again.
Part of me wants to think that this was meant to fill in their schedule gap after the delay with Godzilla vs Gamera. Doesn't it make it any less underwhelming. Though, it's nice to see the art evolution the series has gone through when you compare it to Batman's first Death Battle.

I agree that it was too short a fight.

I found it funny that they made no mention of why Batman was used in a second fight.
Why not? They said they could at any time reuse past characters.
Epyon's height and mass makes no sense lol. It weights less than a fighter jet. Like, the only explanation for something that big, weighting that little, is that it's made out of canvas.
Like, it has to be a big balloon!

Reading the Gundam wiki, isn't 17.4 meters merely the height of the head alone?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaNo, it's the height at the head, meaning it doesn't factor the top of his wings which rise higher than his head, or the horns should a Mecha have those.
I wonder if they'll factor Tommy's own abilities. Because Tommy has before used his own Teleportation to move into another Mecha and pull a Gundamjack, he could teleport inside Epyon, or just Teleport Saba his sword (Which shoots laser beams!) and have it murder the pilot of Epyon.
Because I see this as a deciding factor (Especially since the fight isn't "Epyon Vs Tigerzord", but 6th Gundam Vs 6th Ranger, so they can't handwave Tommy away). Tigerzord can fight without its pilot without much problem (it has done so in the past), so Tommy's ability to Teleport and sabotage the other mech / pilot (Which he did on his first or second battle with the Dragonzord when he was evil) is likely to give him the win despite whatever advantage Epyon has, less his pilot has his own super powers that I don't know about.

God, that was disappointing. As soon as the KO screen went up the first thing I said was, "Wait, that's it?"
As happy as I am that Batman redeemed himself, that really should have gone for at least a minute longer.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.
Showa Mechagodzilla almost killed Godzilla when they first fought, and Kiryu did severely injure Godzilla with the AZC
