Thanks to Naruto's end of series powerboost, Ichigo should get murderstomped, same would go for Luffy. Of course this being Death Battle I wouldn't be surprised if they found a bullshit reason for Ichigo to win.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterSo, some people think one side should stomp, and other people think the other side should stomp. This is going to be a fun discussion.
At least this will have my full attention. Thor vs. Wonder Woman was an instant pass because "been there, done that".
Doesn't Naruto's endgame involve continental destruction?
Like, Naruto and Sasuke get stupid powerful all of a sudden, if I recall right.
How do lizards fly? It's pretty hard to gauge Ichigo at his most powerful because he's at his most powerful for seconds at a time and his feats are usually abstract defeats of also hard to gauge overpowered opponents
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThis upcoming fight will be interesting, because we never really get to see what Ichigo can do (because the villain deliberately stops him from using his full power at every opportunity). I'm curious to see how they deal with that.
One Strip! One Strip!...if I hadn't expected the result, I'd be a little annoyed right now.
Also, that next match-up OH HOHOHOHO HOHOHO HEHEEHEHEHEHE ohhhh dis' gun b' good. Battle of the Plot Tumor's.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So the person I wanted to win won, and it was a good fight, even though I wouldn't say it was one of Torrian's strongest choreography-wise. I definitely hope something is done about the visual effects by next season because they were a bit glaring in contrast to how nice the characters and environments looked.
<Sees next fight> (insert long groan) Ichigo has more thematically appropriate opponents in Yusuke Urameshi (a match-up I've been wanting for a while) or Inuyasha, but I guess this was inevitable. I... guess I'll pull for Ichigo? I dropped Naruto and Bleach forever ago, but I did keep up with the latter for a bit longer.
That may have more to do with the fact that Bleach disintegrated earlier and faster than Naruto did and lost a lot more fans a lot more quickly.
Mean while, Toriko ended with its characters being around Frieza saga in terms fo destructive power, but with hax, being able to kill Majin Buu saga characters, and ends with gods that created a Multiverse, and the final panel has Toriko saying he can kill a snake that has eaten a few planets on its own.

Watch SymphogearIs it just me or is Thor saying "I'LL KILL YOU DEAD" bordering on Narm territory?

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?@Fergard Yeah, you're right. Ichigo is fucked and there's no other way about it. Naruto gets absurdly powerful near the end, a basically indestructible cosmic god with all the power of the same guy who created the moon in their universe and the ability to basically make infinite copies of himself. The first sacrifice of the Fourth Ninja War was any pretense of a reasonable scale.

...mmkay.
Good fight Torrian. And the leap Diana did at the beginning was I didn't know Diana was weak against piercing weapons... I mean, yeah, she has the bracers, but I figured she was just a flying brick like Superman.
Poppycock!
Naruto is not an indestructible cosmic god (barring Boruto, -shrug-). He has control of a creature that can fire what are essentially nuclear missiles in any direction provided the time. The guy who created the moon, leagues more imaginative than Naruto is, Naruto doesn't share that ability, Sasuke does. Naruto does not. (I mean, unless Boruto said something else).
Naruto can sense otherworldly spirits, but he can't see them. It'd be neat if they took that into account as to how he and Ichigo are fighting in the first place.
Ichigo isn't f'cked because he's fighting an indestructible cosmic god. He's f'cked because none of his power-ups in the final arc of Bleach mattered.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!You know, I don't recall Diana ever being pierced by a weapon that wasn't enhanced in some way so I don't think the weakness to piercing actually exists
So, here's one thing I was surprised didn't come up during "Thor vs. Wonder Woman":
In Marvel Vs. DC (or DC Vs. Marvel depending on the issue), Wonder Woman is worthy of Mjolnir. At one point in the series (I think after Thor fights Captain Marvel), Thor lost Mjolnir, and Wonder Woman soon found it, picked it up, and got a power boost. However, when it came time for her to fight Storm, she decided using Mjolnir would be cheating, dropped it, and (somehow) got curbstomped.
Now I'll grant that the results of the battles in Marvel Vs. DC shouldn't be used for anything in Death Battle as quite a few were the results of fan votes (including the infamous Lobo vs. Wolverine fight, which later got retconned as Lobo being paid to take a dive), but the very fact that Wonder Woman could wield Mjolnir as per the plot (with no indication that it was just a temporary grant from Odin, like Superman wielding Mjolnir was in JLA/Avengers) should seem like it's not up for debate (assuming JLA/Avengers didn't retcon it).
If you take into a account some of the filler stuff Ichigo's getsuga teshou is no joke.
Of all the potential worthies, Wonder Woman would surprise me the least
Even given Mjolnir's mysterious, capricious arbitrary standards
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe fact that Boruto seems it's going to have a long enough run to give Naruto more stuff seems to me like an indicator that Naruto is going to win even without including any feats or feats he will get from Boruto.
The events of Marvel Vs DC tend to be ignored as feats and such, because the writers explicitly went into that with the mentality of “okay, the fans voted this way, so how can we make this as cool as possible” while willfully putting aside the need for things to line up well as a result. There’s a lot of weird and confusing but highly awesome stuff in that series as a result, and on the whole a lot of what that series did with the characters isn’t taken too seriously.
Feats in JLA/Avengers tend to be taken more seriously because it was written with the tone and continuity of both universes in mind - so even when they did some of eh same things, that crossover is more looked to for feats than the previous one.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.<sees next fight> ... Yikes. Either I set aside enough time to catch up on both mangas, or I skip the next DB until I do so.

Just because someonebused their super form first, it doesn't mean they're going to lose. Dante went Devil Trigger first, for example

Alright. Watched the fight. Not bad, but I'm sure I've seen smoother 3d fights.
As for the next one...we'd all best get our flame proof suits ready.
One Strip! One Strip! So, the Thor/Wonder Woman fight was...fine. There was no moment that surprised me or anything, and I expected that result from the analysis alone. It's weird, I'm usually not this indifferent towards Torrian's animations. At least neither character is stuck in Early-Installment Weirdness anymore.
As for Naruto vs. Ichigo... My Naruto knowledge is fairly limited, and my Bleach knowledge is barely existent. From reading comments in this thread, I get the impression that Naruto's raw power is superior, whereas Ichigo still has a shot at dealing a killing blow via his ghost/soul/spirit-related abilities (and most Naruto characters are Glass Cannons, anyway, so frailty was always going to be a thing). Right now, I'm thinking Naruto takes it, as that verse is crazy fast, and his spirit/soul/chakra is tied to the Kyuubi, which might allow him to deal with Ichigo's one advantage.
I'm just glad they're finally doing it. I remember this match being requested for ages.
Unless I am mistaken on the matter, I don't think the manga ever really displayed the full extent of Ichigo's new Bankai before the manga was forced to end early.

Aside from a few godlike ninja, Bleach's high tiered characters are generally stronger than the high tiers in Naruto. By just 182 chapters into Bleach, Ichigo was vastly more powerful than Naruto was for 90% of Naruto's own series.
