Xbox Live is down

Xbox Live is down, and so sorry, for some reason your XBLA games are reverted to trials.

(WTF? Aren't I supposed to have them even without Live?)

I have a feeling this is due to Microsoft having cloud saves, and the thing that worries me is that having cloud saves is pulling your pants down and begging pirates to fuck your system good and hard.

Well for those who use Xbox live, I gotta say that sucks. Let's hope that this isn't PSN outage all over again, heh? -_-

What bothers me is that the system is basically telling me my XBLA games are all ALWAYS ON DRM.

No Live? No games. That didn't used to be true, I think.

FUCK CLOUD SAVES. I don't need to have my save games whereever I go. That's fucking pathetic.

Meh. I'm only connected to XBL when I download stuff, and it's never affected me before.

Wait, if you're offline, XBLA games don't work? Since when? Or did they just change it right before this happened?

I think he was refering to the Xbox fanboys who were mouthing off to PS 3 users during the outage. Correct me if I'm wrong

Or it could just simply be, you know, a hardware issue.

Curse Network (home of the Minecraft Wiki) was temporarily down due to hardware issues, I think.

Ask the 360 players if they get Error 482.

It seems to be up again, considering we're using it right now.

I've had my XBLA games revert to trial whenever I disconnected from Live almost everytime. Don't know why, and it bugs me.

You log on. You're connected to Live. The games show as being full, paid games, and don't show as trials.

You boot the game. The game starts. Xbox disconnects. The game turns into a trial.

Something is seriously wrong, and I'm willing to bet you it's the cloud saves.

That should never happen. You should have access to your games offline.

Otherwise, it's something called always on DRM and Microsoft has swore up and down they don't do that.

And the last time I was offline, I retained my licenses and played my games.

Yes, clearly, Cloud Computing is the cause of this temporary inconvenience! It can't be things like needing to update the software or a random glitch out of nowhere that could easily be rectified, no, it must be the fault of Cloud Computing!

Seriously, knock it off, I use Steam's Cloud Synchronization and I have no problems with that.

Means if you log into an X Box that isn't yours, you still get to use the same save file by accessing it online.

The same goes for fuckin' DLC. I can't play Mass Effect 2 without being connected to XBL because I've got all but the second alternate appearance pack as DLC. And I've got Bring Down The Sky for the first Mass Effect.

The Cloud Storage system isn't even live yet.
