Well, we have our own, slightly smaller ones. I think there was an anime convention not too long ago in Luaderdale. And of course, there's all the stuff in orlando(though that's stretching on the "South florida" part).

Good point: I guess it's not so much tha we don't hae any big cons as much as it is traveling stuff rarely comes to Florida, and it is really hard for south floridians to go anywhere, both because it is an 8 hour drive to get out of the state.
On the other hand, the beach. I guess it balances out pretty well...
