Thats the problem with living in South Florida: there are no cons, conventions, or anything because we are so far out of the way.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Well, we have our own, slightly smaller ones. I think there was an anime convention not too long ago in Luaderdale. And of course, there's all the stuff in orlando(though that's stretching on the "South florida" part).

:smug:I'm Floridian, formerly of Key West currently residing in Tampa.
On the subject of South Florida cons there's Florida Supercon in Miami.
Good point: I guess it's not so much tha we don't hae any big cons as much as it is traveling stuff rarely comes to Florida, and it is really hard for south floridians to go anywhere, both because it is an 8 hour drive to get out of the state.
On the other hand, the beach. I guess it balances out pretty well...
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Unless, like me, you don't care for the beach.
:smug:The best part of Florida is the inland lakes and swamps, in my opinion.
<><The everglades are pretty awesome.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Here's someone from Central Florida.
Words, words, words. From Pensacola, a place that always gets grouped in with freakin' Alabama.
WELCOME TO DA CLUB.
NO TREE FOR ME (ALSO LOVES HER BOYFRIEND)Wait, you're from Alabama?
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Not the one in Australia, the other one. Moved down from VA forever ago (Five, six years?).
EDIT: Looking at going to a university in St. Augustine next year, so I guess I'm not getting any closer to the rest of y'all.

Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.Central Florida, Ocala to be precise. Does it count if I'm non-native and not particularly fond of it? That being said, the forests here are fantastic.

Although I have some very good Cuban friends. Something you want to know?
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.I'm writing a novel (first draft) and I need a cultural beta to check the accuracy. [Bits are posted on Writer's Block]
