Steam declared my brand new birthday giftcard invalid. Bullshit. My mom wanted a refund but they have to make that so fucking difficult I don't she's gotten one.
They suck.
Valve are not the best at handling customer service, true. Apparently it is much easier to get a refund in the UK (or so I heard).
How would this Curator thing work? Tropers pop their heads in an recommend games with attached reviews?

A bunch of Disney games just got released on Steam, and they're having a 10% off launch sale to celebrate.

-10% to -15% is the standard on-release discount.
It seems weird to me that they have on-release discounts. I'd think it would make more sense to do the opposite: raise the price on launch day. It' be a dirty tactic, but it seems like it would be extremely effective.

There was a free weekend going on for a buttload of games, as well being on sale.
So I picked up Awesomenauts for 2.49, as well as the Starstorm expansion. And I'm glad I did.

After so long, Lost Saga is finally available on Steam, with some neat DLC one can pick up if they want.
Unsurprisingly, the negative reviews from some are either people who haven't given the game enough of a chance to see that it's clearly not Pay 2 Win, and from butthurt people in other countries that can't play this, the North American version.
Never mind that there are already versions of Lost Saga where they may be that they CAN play. Like Europe.
The real kicker being that some are accusing the game of being 'sexist' due to having to pay to change Heroes to the opposite gender (they all start as Male) It's perfectly possible to get free Style Packs that let you tailor their appearance however you like.

Steam's recent beta update has introduced a big new feature: Steam Broadcasting. It's basically Valve's version of Twitch made for Steam. It looks interesting, so I'm planning on using it tonight just to see if it works out well. Thing is: it doesn't turn on unless someone else joins in and watches me, so I encourage you to check me out whenever I play a game with it on.
How to get free 100 XP in Steam during current auction event:
0. have friend with gems.
1. get friend to lend you a gem.
2. bid on an auction. get a badge and 100 XP.
3. cancel bid and return gem to friend.
