Donkey Kong Country Returns did it, as well. That would be a neat touch.
I'm liking the new map, as well. It makes the game's world seem larger.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)It's a creative approach to the World Map. I just hope the number of alternate paths is like SMW.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. What is the best Mario game?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Me personally (don't flame me)
- 2D: Super Mario World
- 3D: Tie between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine
And yes, I hold the 2D games and the 3D games as being very different (at least until Super Mario Galaxy).

Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Uh... ALL OF THEM!
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Err... MOST OF THEM!
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Well, in my personal opinion:
Spinoff: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Of course, with the possible exception for Hotel Mario, every Mario game is at least good, so this was kinda hard to decide.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. How about Mario's Early Years, Mario Is Missing, or Mario's Time Machine?
Missing is at least So Bad, It's Good, but the others...

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."My favorite Mario spinoff is Super Mario RPG. It's almost a real 3D Mario platformer, yet they also combine very involved combat in battle.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.@Booky: Well... For me:
- Mainline: Super Mario 3 D Land
- RPG: Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story
- Spinoff: Mario Kart 7
Well this sounds promising. Now if they changed the goddamn soundtrack, I'd be sold instantly.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! What are the 8 reasons? My computer won't show me the text of that article.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.
- 1 - Yoshi and the Baby Yoshis show up a lot.
- 2 - Puts the previous game to shame.
- 3 - Soda Jungle = Forest of Illusion with even more confusing levels.
- 4 - Shows off the graphical power of the Wii U.
- 5 - Tons of secret exits.
- 6 - The Koopalings get more interesting attacks.
- 7 - Stages are bigger and more difficult.
- 8 - Lots of replay value.

Eh.Do the Baby Yoshis grow up into adult Yoshis? Because all I've seen of them were just as Baby Yoshis.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Nope, they don't. Only the Green one can be an adult.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Oh dear... Well it seems like Paper Mario Sticker Star won't have much handholding... because they decided to go in the complete opposite direction in this game. It looks like the game gives you no hints whatsoever on what to do next, so much that reviewers were asking each other for help. I guess I'll have to wait for the reviews tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I want to get this game now.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Less hand-holding? Looks like Paper Mario got Zelda'd.

Eh.Ooh. This will be interesting.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!The complaints about getting stuck make me a little nervous about the game. On the other hand, I kind of wonder if they might be a bit overblown. I mean, this guy seriously gripes about getting stuck a whopping three times 15 hours into the game. In any case, nothing is stopping me from getting it on Sunday.
Speaking of overblowing, I'm now realizing that the guy who complained about getting stuck three times generally likes the game. Whoops.

Oooooh, sounds interesting! =D Looks like they went the "Oldschool-RPG"-route there, where you had to keep tabs of your progress and what to do yourself. While this might be kinda weird for some, this would actually validate the Notes-function of the 3DS (does anyone actually use it?). So, I'm still stoked for the game. :)
...and Gamexplain gives Sticker Star a 2/5. Oh, my.
Meanwhile, other sites are giving it 8's and 9's.

Eh.On the optimistic topic of New Super Mario Bros. U:
"Hmm, that map appears to be more patchworked and haphazardly put together than a SMW style map."
Rather have a map "stitched together" than boring grasslands, grasslands, caves, and brown grasslands.
I wonder if the map theme changes according to which area you're in, like in Yoshis Island.
Also, I'm liking how each level has a unique name, also like in Yoshi's Island.
