you could do it in solo mode too, though. because they HAD to show that the Wiimote was capable of Pointing At The Screen And Do Stuff™
Those sections where you need to point the screen to blow bubbles will remain intact...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Well, what about collecting the star bits? Plenty of them are in formations far away from Mario that only the remote can get. And the spinning?
Couldn't they have it work the same way as aiming with the joycon in Bot W?? Sure, then you have the problem of how to do it with the pro controller, but...
On Stanley from last page, I would like to see him back too. He has an interesting design. I swore he was Mario and Luigi's cousin, however I can't find anything on that on the Wiki so maybe that was just fanon.
So TheJWittz did a review on a Monopoly board game that's based off of Mario Kart, which came out today. It notably has a soft time limit, power-ups, and character abilities. It actually looks really fun, which I never thought I'd say about Monopoly.
You can buy the game at GameStop/EB Games.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The YMMV.Super Mario Odyssey page seems to waffle on whether the ending/postgame and Peach's role in it is positive or negative, with some seeing it as an Author's Saving Throw in regards to being a Damsel Scrappy and overly-feminine when playable and others....not so much.
Is there a general consensus?

The Protomen enhanced my life.By definition, Your Mileage May Vary means that there doesn't need to be a consensus.

Some YMMV items need a degree of consensus by definition. It's not a total free-for-all.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I also would love to see Stanley make a comeback. Maybe he could be an Assist Trophy in the next Super Smash Bros.?
Also remember when Dataminers discovered data for more costumes in Super Mario Odyssey, with two of them being a Baseball Outfit and a Satellaview Suit? Well uh...
Gonna be honest, the Satellaview Suit is probably my favorite outfit in the game.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. This guy makes decent Mario 64 Blooper-esque videos...lots of effort presentation wise.
Mario Party themed...is pretty neat.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Recently I lost all save data on my Warioware Twisted Cartridge. I'm replaying it and rediscovering how much fun it was. Before, I had 100%'ed the game. Well, 100%'ed, except for one thing. I could not win "Wario Mambo" five times. That game sucks. As a result there's one souvenir that I never unlocked. Don't even know what it was. Anybody?

The final souvenir in Warioware Twisted is Warioware Twisted. Selecting it restarts the game.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.I honestly can't tell if that's a joke, because Warioware is the kind of game where that could very well be the final thing you unlock.
Nintendo does plan to release more costume DLC for Super Mario Odyssey.
Honestly though, I don't think anything can top the Satellaview Suit.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Somebody discovered the debug tool for The Thousand-Year Door.
It doesn't do much (just gives you crash reports), but I thought it was worth sharing.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? It's interesting that it's stayed under the radar for so long. It's not something I'd really expect most people to stumble on by accident, of course, nor does it really do that much so maybe some people did find it and just didn't talk about it, but Thousand-Year Door is pretty popular. I know people have been digging through and experimenting with the first two Paper games for ages now.
Actually, I had a Paper Mario question, is why I walked into the thread. Specifically about the first one, as I'm looking to play it for the first time. Is there anything I should know about the Virtual Console release? I haven't looked into it specifically, but I have heard negative things about the Virtual Console before. I'm in PAL, if it matters, and I don't have a Wii U. The Wii Shop is still up until January 2019, right? If I understand right, I think that means I can still buy it off the Wii, though I haven't used the Wii Shop in a long, long time. (EDIT: Wait, no! They removed the ability to buy Wii Points, right? So that's not an option.)
I don't think I see that many other alternatives. My Wii's aged and the motion controls are borderline though not entirely broken, but I still have my Game Cube controller. And the Wii, around here somewhere, in a dark cupboard. Obviously I can look into emulation, though I'd rather not, like, download a copy of the game off the internet. (EDIT: Since the Wii doesn't seem an option, I admit I don't really see a solution other than standing outside Nintendo with a 'Give Switch a Virtual Console' picket sign. Or buying a Wii U, but unsurprisingly I'm not keen to get a Wii U just to emulate a N64 game.)
I had a quick look and apparently the cartridge goes for £33 these days. It's a shame that these older console classics can be a pain to get up and playing. Paper Mario isn't the worst there, and I know partly it's the way of things and the way of how consoles come out, but still. A shame's a shame.

VC Paper Mario is perfectly fine. More stable than it was on the N64 hardware, in fact, from what I've heard.
However, you're out of luck; the Wii's eshop closed in January, as you said.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The Wii shop didn't close in January, that's next year. However, you can't add Wii points anymore, so unless you have a bunch of unused points on your account, the Wii version won't be an option. Apparently the Wii U VC version has problems. If you're not willing to emulate, then your options are basically what you said, either and N64 cartridge or hope for Switch VC.

Maybe they'll bring out an N64 Classic Edition. If they do I could easily see Paper Mario being one of the games on there.
I wonder if they'll ever do a Gamecube Classic Edition...
Is it weird that what I'm most interested about in the remake for Bowser's Inside Story is whether the Minion Quest sequel includes Superstar Saga characters (namely Popple and Prince Peasly)? Like how the last remake had the Elite Trio and Starlow show up in the Beanbean Kingdom. It could even foreshadow Dream Team by having Popple yell about how he's sick of getting foiled so he'll loot an easy target called Pi'illo island.

I'd expect a few call-backs/call-forwards, yeah.
Still kinda bummed they skipped Partners in Time. That needed a remake before Bowser's Inside Story, which still holds up fine today.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
It already was that...
