All I can find is that she's said to have been augmented to have Super-Strength and Super-Toughness, which probably means that whoever did the augmentations realized that either she doesn't have the required potential to train her into a superhuman powerful warrior or that while she may have the potential, Training from Hell would either take too long or cost too much for their tastes.

In other words, it's safe to assume that the default answer is Charles Atlas Superpower for your average KOF contestant, with Transhumanization being the alternative answer for some characters.

it's sad seeing that most of the original V As being replaced for no good reason(Nobuyuki Hiyama being ditched as Joe is total bullshit...hell,they recast the entire Fatal Fury team...),feels kinda like the end of an era or something...

The exceptions of VA changes are: Athena, Geese, Mai, King, Kula, Maxima, Ralf, Nakoruru, King of Dinosaurs/Tizoc, Benimaru, Choi, Kim, Chang

Sounds about right, though I'm pretty sure Mai and Kim already got their VA's changed in XIII. Maybe Ralf too, though I'm not sure.

Maybe Marq's really Saigado in disguise!

Thing is, King still had the old VA who used to voice Nakoruru, but then she didn't reprise Nakoruru. Thankfully, she still retained Mai Nakahara.

And yeah, what puzzles me is that Nobuyuki Hiyama is supposedly still pretty active in voice acting. I'm thinking clashing schedule in his case.

Gonna put this in spoilers anyway even though it's pretty minor.

I'm noticing a lot of fighters that show up in endings that aren't in (yet) have slightly different designs from usual. Could just be flare for the endings but I think I see a few prime DLC candidates in there, too.
