Did you even read the page? It is a blatant parody of Troper Tales, and I think it's kind of funny.
I did read the page, and if you're right it's a bad case of inverse Poe's Law - it certainly doesn't have anything to suggest it's a parody.
Got an (un)exciting, fictional story about how life came to imitate art? Share it here!
Dude, if that is not an obvious padory, nothing is.
Do we still have to do this, now that there's going to be a new Troper Tales?
I was kind of hoping buckling down on this could forestall a new Troper Tales, but yeah, it's already been determined that this isn't working and won't work.
The child is father to the man —OedipusI think that this just wasn't given enough of a chance.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI agree, it absolutely was not.
The child is father to the man —OedipusIs there any way that we might be able to get more time for this to work?

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific Mackerel- oops, sorry*

Yeah, that's probably more stories than examples, exactly what the overhaul is designed to fix.
The child is father to the man —Oedipus^ Not to mention the fact that it's about how sex is portrayed differently in fiction as compared to real life, so anything except RP examples and the like don't really make sense.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I notice at least two pages that were under the threshold and being curated were cut, presumably because, being about sex-related topics, they were hurting the wiki's pure-as-the-driven-snow reputation and made it look as though tropers are adults who engage in unremarkable adult activities.
The child is father to the man —OedipusWould you want to hear about the sex lives of random strangers?
There was a crowner, there were criteria laid out, if the process isn't going to be followed, why bother? "Do you want to read it" isn't the question — that's already been covered.
The child is father to the man —OedipusExcept not everyone follows Don't Like? Don't Read!. Many of TV Tropes' detractors have the Don't Like, Do Read philosophy.
Also, could you name the pages in question? I can't find any in this thread.

In addition, if a page violates the Troper Tales Guidelines or any of the site's rules, it doesn't matter how many people are curating it. It'll be cut.

Well, that's one way of dealing with concern trolls.
If the page's existence violates the guidelines it should be cut, but the whole reason to curate pages is too keep individual examples from doing so. Presumably if sex were inherently creepy Troper Tales Guidelines would say "nothing sexual" rather than "no creepy sex stuff."
The child is father to the man —OedipusHmm, I heard we have this page:
Oh, that can't be good...

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI mentioned this in the TT redesign page, but I was told to put it here.
I suggested that before the TT pages are archived, each page should be looked over for entries that would not be worthy of saving. Once a user has gone over the page and it's ready to be archived, they can holler a mod, who will double-check the article and lock it until the new TT is available, at which time the articles will be archived. If there is a problem with a locked article, a user could visit a temporary forum thread to ask for help. How does that sound?
Hyperforce Go! http://vmkid.me/I think we're just hurting for bodies here mainly — I for one don't have the time to actively moderate Troper Tales in its current form. It's been suggested that we allow the archived articles to be edited by moderators, and that may go into the final system. I'm not sure if we have the manpower for a sitewide review prior to implementation.
In the meantime, like I've said before, if you have specific articles that need attention, bring them up here and we can decide what to do.
Edit: I slashed all the non-RP examples from TroperTales.Too Kinky To Torture. This isn't "laughs at being spanked" material and I highly doubt that anyone posting personal examples there has actually been tortured.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm disinclined to devote my limited time and attention to curation when my efforts are unrecognized.
