As much of a Badass as Wesker is, Mercer would wipe the floor with him. Alex is a more powerful B.O.W. than anything seen in the Resident Evil games, even Wesker in his final transformation.

@NULL Alex's Devastators can level an entire block. Doesn't matter how fast you are if you're still within range when he pulls one of those off. Alex himself is still very fast and agile as well.

Wasn't Wesker able to dodge endless streams of machine gun fire without getting hit once? And a point blank shotgun?
If the two fights, it depends on how Alex fights if he wants to win or not. Wesker is invincible unless Alex learns to hide in corners and shoot him in the eye.

Alex. If Wesker wants to actually hurt him, he'll need to get into melee, where Alex holds an overwhelming strength advantage. I notice that cutscene!Wesker blocks a lot, which works a lot better against human punches and kicks than a tank-cleaving blade, and gameplay!Wesker is outright smackable when he moves in. If Wesker stays at range (assuming he's fast enough to keep out of Alex's reach in the first place) and uses his pistol, well, we all know how effective that is against Mercer. If Wesker tries to run circles around Alex and look for an opening, Alex has his shockwave and Devastator attacks, as previously mentioned.

Not shown is is the Critical Pain devastator. Granted that is effectively a organic version of a Kamehame Hadoken and avoidable, though still a 1-hit KO if it lands.
