Haylene accepts, the world she grew up in was dying to begin with. and at least here she can finally get a fresh start beyond the city walls. Haylene would take the chance because she has faith that in the universe she left, things would turn out alright.

Mella Tries to move it, and can't, but leaves any food or water she has and promises to bring back help, which she does as fast as possible.

Lane lifts the rock off and tosses it away with ease. Then she heals the presumably broken arm, and tells the stranger that not to tell anyone what she looks like, and probably words it more like a threat with an air of desperation. She's on the run from the military. She does, however, leave them with a name to thank—Clubs.

Your Character's next door neighbor's cat keeps coming in through your characters window. What Do?

Lint brings the cat back to its owner every single time, but as time goes on, he gets more and more curious. He lives on top of a tower - how does this cat get up there through the window, anyway? In the end, he probably tries to sneak up to see how the little beast manages this.

Trank is a cat person the likes of which are rarely seen. He adopts the cat into his pack of twenty-something felines he already has and it's probably the cat's owner who has to come to him to get his pet back.

Your character wakes up alone in an abandoned hospital in the middle of nowhere. There are strange sounds coming from behind the door. What do?

Jhonen would find a weapon, any weapon, and prepare for whatever is behind the door. Considering that the more desolate areas of Mars are home to bloodthirsty maniacs it can't be good. If he's lucky, his guns will be somewhere within reach.

Your character is asked by a friend to help them film a documentary in an abandoned asylum in Germany. Do they go or are they Genre Savvy enough to decline?

Mella looks at her friends. They look at her. "Remember the Dark Forest?" she says, sweetly. "you mean the time we all almost died and Gary and Connor got kidnapped at nearly executed?" they ask. Mella nods. "Remember the Short cut on the road from Rianair?" everyone gets a little nervous. " the...time that we got ambushed and Riena was poisoned and almost died?" Mella nods again. "What did you promise after that?" "that if you said something was a Bad Plan we shouldn't?" "Right. This is a Bad Plan, so how about we Don't." They all agree.

Whatever knows it's a bad plan, but decideds to go anyway, because it should be fun.

Lane doesn't bother to say 'no' just gives everyone a Stern Look.

Ketturah pretends not to care, but is secretly glad. Although she would never admit it to anyone, she knows that she's made a lot of mistakes and bad choices and that her life is actually pretty terrible. She doesn't wish it on anyone else.

Eyrie is devastated. She tries so hard to do everything right, why isn't it good enough for this person?

She is a powerful Gifted and the daughter of President Rayfer... but being a Gifted, it also means that she's a soul-sucking half-ethereal abomination that a good number of the public hate. She'll have to reluctantly accept that yes, that person is going to hate her for her soulfeeding habits, but try to convince them that she doesn't feed on the innocent.

With Taarid, it depends. If it's someone he doesn't particularly care about (meaning most of the world), his most likely reaction would be to shrug and say "so?" (his jerkassery is probably the reason behind the broken pedestal). On the other hand, if it's one of the few people he wants to appreciate him, he'd be heartbroken - although he'd never let anyone know.^note Thanks for giving me an idea for a plot point!

Your character has to confess their love to a person they're not in relationship with yet.

Heron would have to admit his love to his former mentor and Broken Pedestal Daniel Tremayne. It's really painful for him, for several reasons. Firstly, he met Daniel towards the end of the Victorian era, and though Daniel and Heron end up meeting again in the 21st century, Heron still has this irrational fear that he'll go the same way as Oscar Wilde. Also admitting that he's still in love with someone who betrayed him is really confusing. He should hate Daniel,right?

Your character is now the protagonist of a cheesy 80s teen movie.

Peter ruins the lives of all the characters around them. Ultimately collapsing the entire show as the town its set in burns to the ground.

Your character learns one of their friends has a time machine capable of sending their consciousness into the past with the press of a button. This friend has been using it for personal gain for several months. How does your character react?

Lane asks if she can send herself back a couple /years/ to warn everyone about their capture. she has no interest in it other than that, but warns her friend (it's Chuck, Chuck built it, she knows) that she better not tell anyone else. also share that money I saved your life.

Zuri would think that this sounds like astral projection, and since she is presently doing a report on it for her Parapsychology class, she would want to check it out as "research". She would also ask the friend a lot of questions about how they feel about it.

Lupin would know that his girlfriend Yamiko is using it to gain insight into her family and figure out the reason for her great-grandmother's curse. He would immediately talk to his best friend Merlin about it, since he's the expert on all these paranormal things. Merlin would then want to talk to Yamiko about it and ask about her progress, and both would want to keep a close eye on her for a while. Lupin might even ask if there's any way he could enter in with her.

Vicky would excitedly ask if she could try it too. It would sound really fun.

If Candy found out Andy was doing this, she would ask him why, and immediately suspect that he's lonely and needs attention (and would give him said attention, in the form of pleasure in the bedroom). Vice versa, Andy would warn her not to mess with things like this... but would secretly try it out himself, after ingesting some magic mushrooms.

Situation: Someone close to your character has been transformed into a creature your character hates or is afraid of, and can no longer talk. They are trying to get your character's attention, but your character has no idea that this transformation took place. What ensues?

Heron has a thing about birds. He hates them. When Charlie becomes a Magpie, and tries to swoop to get Heron's attention, it freaks out Heron even more. Charlie is basically responsible for Heron's fear of birds becoming a fully fledged, crippling phobia. Charlie never gives up, despite making matters worse.

For Agnar, this creature would be an undead of whichever kind. If Juste transformed into one, Agnar would probably shoot him on sight and it would break him completely, because Juste is his son.

Trisar is absurdly afraid of snakes and if Lint turned into one, he'd probably run away screaming like a little girl. If he ever found out that it was actually Lint, he'd pretend it never happened and feel like an idiot.

Your character is suddenly crowned a ruler of a distant empire they've never heard of before. What do?

Happens in a Gaiden side story thing where Calia and Amber visit a planet which her mom helped to create.

Calia would question the civilians why they're doing this. It would turn out that she's the daughter of Adamas, one of the deities that made their world. Either way, she'd probably try to find somebody more suitable- since Calia is next in line for president of Terra 102.

Amber would appreciate their help but would question their motives. (She'd get the same response as Calia would have). After that, she wouldn't mind staying behind... on one condition- her husband needs to be with her, since she's not fit for ruling a country thanks to her reckless, impatient and brash nature.

Time for a compendium of Character CO Ms!

AmandaCOM will deploy lots of Agony Beam-ish technology, perhaps some sort of atmospheric disturbance that would cause every animal on Earth to feel increasing levels of pain with every breath and every movement. Naturally, the governments of the world would think the warfare is biological in nature.

ViWillowCOM will reach inside the depths of every video game ever made and use the same brilliant AI technology she used to create a virtual world to bring every one of those characters to life. A game character apocalypse will ensue.

ShinCOM will teach the aliens everything they need to know about organized crime. The aliens will open up bases all over the world, slowly corrupting it by infiltrating the very infrastructure, a large-scale alien mafia.

ZuriCOM will employ special electromagnetic waves all over Earth's most civilized places. These will give the illusion of the entire Earth being haunted by every person who has ever been remembered. A ghost apocalypse ensues.

PantherCOM will make a factory that churns out super-cool space bikes, which the aliens will ride all over Earth in style. They can even hover and ride on water. Oh, and their fumes release a highly toxic poison - toxic to Earthlings anyway.

YamikoCOM will simply infuse the atmosphere with cyanide gas, along with a chemical that strips away the ozone layer. But when all the life is cleared and the aliens colonize Earth, she'll make sure they die too.

MornainCOM will offer special biological enhancements to the aliens, allowing them to rape any creature on Earth that can bear young. Said young will be more aliens.

CherenSavantCOM will lull the aliens to sleep, telling them that when they wake up, they'll rule Earth. The aliens wake up on Earth the next morning (or whenever the aliens rise from slumber), with all the humans gone. What they don't realize, however, is that this is all a dream, and in reality, the aliens stay asleep until they waste away and die, while the COM grows in power and proceeds to prey upon the wishes of other aliens.

Your character is at a Halloween party. There is a DJ, a bar, lots of young adults in costume dancing or hanging out, and a snack table every type of candy that does not contain chocolate. There is also a huge open spot on the dance floor. What is your character doing, and are they in costume?

Lint feels super uncomfortable and probably tries to find a way to escape the place and in fact, he probably came here only because Eriac asked him to. Lack of chocolate is just the icing on giant cake of unpleasantness. He's in some full-body costume of a Spirit World creature nobody except for him recognizes.

Taarid, on the other hand, has excellent fun. He's dressed as local Plague Doctor-esque urban legend and feels anonymous enough to forgo his usual pretences of oh-high-and-mighty-me. Seeing empty spot on the floor, he probably tries to pull his love interest there and dance.

Scat- Eats everything mint flavored. She probably didn´t bother to dress up unless Zora gave her a costume. Tries to chat up a few people and put them off their food with her wild and gross annectdotes.

Zora- Feels intimidated by the amount of people around her hides behind Scat. Is probably dressed as a vampire.

Mara- Sits down with a drink watches the others make an ass of themselves. She´s dressed as an angel or something generic.

Ada- Dances for her life. A huge sixty year old bouncing on the dancefloor will attract attention. She probably dressed as Lady Gaga or another popstar much to everyone´s horror.

Svetla- Dresses as Alex from a Clockwork Orange. Is annoyed that no one saw the movie. Is furious at the small variety of snacks. Leaves through the back door without bothering to tell anyone.

Your character get approched by a huge drunken, sixty looking woman dressed in a Lady Gaga costume at a party.

Celina would simply walk away from the woman, clearly unfazed by the unfortunate display.

Terry would be very uncomfortable with her advances.

After seeing a woman defeat a pair of troublemakers, she approaches your character and asks them to meet her the next day. Her demeanor is professional and friendly, but she completely destroyed the troublemakers in question

Mella goes, with her friends as backup and their magically concealed weapons. Maybe it's another quest?

Whatever also goes, sans backup, hoping the woman knows what happened to her family. if it's a trap, then oh well.

Lane is impressed, and can handle herself if things go south. but she doesn't go anyway. if the woman's legit, she can find her and meet her in an open place with alllll of lane's allies. no sense in risking a repeat of jaunary, 2014.

Jani asks the woman the details of the meeting (time, location, etc.) and for a sign that the woman means him no harm. Being no fool, he also decides to bring his friends (secretly; he has them take hidden positions around the meeting place). He and his friends are also armed.

Your character has become tired of falling for the same tricks over and over, and is determined not to let it happen again. What situation have they stumbled into before, and what steps do they take to prevent it from repeating?

Peter has a habit of trying to set the local cineplex on fire and getting caught. Mostly because one of the theater's employees, a peevish little snot named Darren, keeps catching him. So of course the best course of action is for Peter to frame Darren for terrorism.
