I totally forgot to post. What's happened?

Some of the team has volunteered to scout the Casino (while it's having last-touch renovations.) Shion's just pointing out they should wear something fancy, so as to not cue the management off.

Ooh, scouting. Can Rob go? Suits are his daily attire.

Didn't Morguilon and Chubert want to have their characters attack the safehouse later today in-story?

Should I bring Alexia in after the attack? How should I do it?

^^ Mm, not attack, just a checking out. If the safehouse behaves, that can throw off their investigation.

Bumping my last post up because I'd really like this addressed. Is Cantina over/undergoing plot or not?

What is there to be scared about having an underlying story? If it's continuity (and jerking off to it), it's more than worth it skimming the posts to keep up, when you feel like you're an important part of something bigger.

"Scared" is the wrong word. I don't really care for collaborative works in general - as long as it's just peaceful interaction, that's fine, but when a plot shows up I think the quality goes downhill. Someone named Mr. AHR had a post way back explaining why she doesn't like forum RPs that sums it up better then anything I could say. I'm going to try and find it.

That's besides the point, though. I merely want to know if Cantina is over or about to be over, and if so whether we'll have another casual thread to replace it.

The power struggles and in-fighting that happens? (I remember Mr AHR's post, and her saying how other people/characters tend to turn on her for pointing out "da blunt truth" about power leveling.) I believe we've surmounted that stage— I'm hoping. You might wish to check out the heist thread; we're in the midst of scouting the Casino, and looking at vault security.

Little do the characters pissed at Shion know of the thick irony lingering in the air. (*Glances at Morgy and Chubacca*) It is goodly to be out of sanity, at times.

@QQQQQ: Not exactly - more the power leveling then power struggles. Basically, the only reason I was willing to participate in Titanic was because of how it reworked all the characters involved into normal people of the early 20th century - no Physical Gods, Reality Warpers, or all the other manner of high-Super Weight speculative fiction stuff that keep getting pitted against each other in frequently poorly-coordinated fight scenes.

I also agree with Mr. AHR's points on the unrealistic nature of character interactions in most forum RPs, and it's my belief that that area is much better done when there is no plot other then those same character interactions.

Finally, in the casual threads there's no fear of getting left behind by the plot. As you saw with Cantina, I don't post very frequently nor do I have time to do so. With a casual thread like that, it doesn't really matter, but having my character in a plot-filled thread zone out for hours in-story would obviously not work well.

And let me ask one more time: what's the status of Cantina? Other casual threads in the future, or not?

It'll be moving slowly, but I for one would probably multi-task it with Heist if there was interest enough. Otherwise it's on hibernation. And fear not, casual, plotless CDTs are becoming more of a thing lately — they'll be around.

Short version: time forwarded to dawn so the characters who need sleep could do so, and at present, Alice, Rob, Daisuke, Johnathon, and Yuki are plotting in the kitchen, while Charlie, Shion, Deinonychus, and Bianca are doing a scouting run at the casino. All others are presumed sleeping.
