We Are All Pokemon Trainers Discussion

As do I, although some Illusion/Neo-Galactic things sound good.

I like the idea of the plot developing as we go along. I have stuff planned, but I had actively accounted for the idea that everything would depend on the actions of everyone else.

But Illusion vs. Neo-Galactic, and the J-Team vs. Both, is shaping up to be the dominant conflict.

I'm heavily, heavily against there being no plot. I'm okay with a plot that extends into the future arcs, but "no plot" is something I can't agree with.

Perhaps the "vague, ongoing" plot we use is to figure out just what's up with those two evil teams that have been forming, though.

Grabbing a vague idea then Writing by the Seat of Your Pants, which is what I'm extolling =/= Plot? What Plot?

I also definitely think there should be some plot, if vauge at first and probably light-hearted. Not sure what yet, though.

In other news...

I saw The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug today. I am here to fangirl about one particular aspect.

SMAUG!!!!!!!1!!!!

Such gorgeous ruddy scales! Teeth like steak knives! Fire breath that fills a room! Wings bigger than an airplane! And that voice! So deep and imposing and with an ego to match! My only complaint is he's not a Deadpan Snarker like in the books.

Eheh... I have a soft spot for dragons. ^_^;

(There are more things I wanna say, but they're somewhat spoilery, so I'll just say Legolas is no longer Captain Obvious: The Elf. Huzzah~)

It's already kind of obvious.

Especially because Martin Freeman is Watson.

I'm still kind of ambivalent about the Desolation of Smaug, but it was worth watching the entire thing just for Smaug himself.

With 8 votes to 7, and with 6 abstentions; the Christmas meeting is in favor of in Ecruteak. Verax and Trip are the only two who haven't voted.

Sorry if i seem overly harsh, I've had a very trying day. And the fact that my first RP suggestion that actually was taken well and voted on just lost didn't help my mood. I won't lie, I started to actually want the group to come to the manor rather than Ren traveling to Ecruteak on the 25th...

So, since I hadn't really made a D!Post about it yet, I figured I might as well do so now.

You may have heard mention of a "Fantasy mini-arc" set to happen after Kalos? Well, here's the current outline for the plot, I guess:

While suffering from writer's block, having difficulty figuring out what should happen next in her fantasy version of the J-Team show reboot, DS comes across a bunch of Unown while wandering through one of the ruins, and hearing of her problem, the Unown decide to try to help her find some inspiration.

This leads to the Unown trapping DS, along with several of her friends, getting transported into the fictional world in DS' notebook. However, for the purpose of keeping everyone "in-character", the Unown end up sealing the other's memories inside a crystal ball (while leaving them believing themselves to be the characters DS based off of them), and in order to leave the fictional world, those memories must first be retrieved.

DS, the other Minds of Crystal, and possibly Pokémon without a character based on them within the story keep their memories, and must figure out how to get out.

Further complicating matters is DS finding herself coming to the conclusion that her friends might be happier if they all stay in her fictional world...

I'd likely send Dune.

Or, just to shake things up, send Deziree without Dune. It would give her a chance to shine on her own... as well as accentuate how she's essentially just another human when Dune isn't around. Well... just another human with extreme mad scientist tendencies, but you get the idea.

Joseph might. It could be interesting.

I am all over this.

Straw would definitely be there, probably Elise. Not sure about Rawst.

Wolf's a Mind, so he might not be the most useful to the plot.

There might be something for him to do though. Exasperation is always fun to write.

I know I'll be throwing at least one of the Morendos in there. Possibly all four.

I really want to throw Pent in there, but I am not sure what to do D:

Ever will be involved, Amanita and Brie possibly.

I don't know whether my characters will be involved or not, but I have to say, this mini-arc is looking like it'll be my favorite part of the RP so far from what I've read of a couple of the plans.
