This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

The page is currently under Creator.The Fanfiction Critic, while it is quite evidently a work page and not a creator page, and it need to be moved to the proper namespace.
I don't know the backstory that lead to the cutlisting of this page, but it's probably an old thing.

Hello, could we maybe talk about unlocking the Teen Wolf Character page (and possibly beating the trolls - who got it locked to begin with - with sticks)?
There are a lot of things to update given the latest episodes, and a few of us want to take care of that.

There is a venue to request edits for locked pages. You can also sandbox the edits you want and link that in the edit requests thread. We've said this multiple times.

I understand that I can edit via the other thread, but what I don't understand is why this page in particular is continually shot down in regards to unlocking when there's no guarantee that the troll that caused it will be a bother anymore. It's been locked for almost a year now; there's no guarantee that PainInTheAss43 (as I'm gonna lovingly refer to the troll from here on) will even notice.
I really don't mean to be challenging (and I sincerely apologize if I come across as such), but I feel that it'd be way easier for everyone involved if it were unlocked, at least until such time as the idiot troll comes around and screws things up again, if she/he/it even does. If that does happen to pass, then I'd happily accept a lock (and an 'I told you so') again, but I don't see why we can't take a chance on it.

Am I a weirdo?
That particular page has been a rather extreme target for vandalism. They agreed to unlock it in the past, and it was promptly vandalized again. I think at this point the moderation is sick of dealing with that particular page, and would prefer to keep it locked.

I would guess that the next time to ask would be when the series has been cancelled, so that new episodes aren't keeping the experience fresh in the minds of the trolls.

Can you please unlock the editing option in Adventure Time YMMV page? I found a trope in the recap episode page "Lemonhope Part 2" that needs to be moved to the YMMV page:
- Epileptic Trees: It's extremely likely that Phlannel Boxingday is actually Princess Bubblegum in disguise: both are pink; have an identical face apart from the mustache; have the same initials and same number of letters and syllables in their first and last name, Boxingday's last lines include Gratuitous German ("In deinem Kopf."), references to being unable to interfere in Castle Lemongrab's policy due to treaties and Techno Babble. The only other possible explanation is that Boxingday is a "sibling" that came from the same pile of goo where she came from.
I don't think that a single example warrants an unlocking.
