This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

It existed at one point and was put on the Cut List. The reason for that happening is no longer accessible. I unlocked it.

I'm in the same position as Peccantis, although I suspect the reason is that I have ended up with two troper pages (without meaning to). I first logged in as Ag Prov, found that was inaccessible, and in attempting to get back in, inadvertently opened a second account as Ag Prov (note space). I'm assuming a troper may only have one account at a time, hence a second similar one has been disabled?

You can have up to ten accounts; I myself have two. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to access AgProv; spaces and punctuation are stripped out when making a handle, far as I remember.

To the wiki parser, Tropers/AgProv and Tropers/{{Ag Prov}} are the same thing. Ag Prov, Ag Prov. It's not locked, either. So if you can't get to it via your handle link, there's some other problem.

I think I might know what the issue is. Ag Prov, are you trying to go to Tropers.Ag Prov or Main.Ag Prov? The latter has been cut and therefore locked, as all troper pages in Main/ are, but the former is a normal troper page that you edited earlier today. Main.Ag Prov is the link you get by simply typing AgProv, and it's the one that the text beneath your avatar goes to.

Right — if you're trying to edit Ag Prov, you are doing it wrong. Troper pages don't go in Main.

Oh, and the red/bluelinking bug is affecting the Main.Ag Prov link in my above post now, though it didn't when I last looked at this page.
Edit: Now it doesn't; it's red like it should be.

Metal Gear 1987 was created to distinguish the game itself from the series hub page (all pages within leading to video games, which in this case wouldn't qualify Metal Gear in the Franchise/ namespace iirc), and by the looks of it had been mistaken for "having a wrong title"note . Can that be brought back?
I now go by Graf von Tirol.

Oh and if you want your name look like AgProv you can use "custom title" feature on your troper page.

IIRC, if the first game and the whole series have the same title, the series can be filed under Franchise/ so the game will go under Video Game/. That's what we do for Kingdom Hearts.

The page Nightmare Fuel: Skullduggery Pleasant has been locked for... Some reason. If someone could explain WHY it is locked, then my request can be ignored.
This may seem like an odd request, but I want VideoGame.Crossfire to be cut without locking it. It exists now as a blank page for a work needing a summary.
It's blank because somebody made it as a redirect for VideoGame.Super Crossfire.
Though there is a video game titled Crossfire...
Hey, who broke that redirect? (That was the original name for the game when it was first released on Xbox Live Arcade. Crossfire and Crossfire 2 were later compiled into one game called Super Crossfire.)

I could not find a link to a discussion or anything, but TV Tropes Trollers was redlinked and locked for no visible reason. It was a useful and interesting page for seeing which creators perused this website, but now all that info is gone. Restore...?

Can you please unlock YMMV.DEBS? I have no idea why it was cut but there are YMMV tropes on the main work page that need to be moved there.

I wanted to move BeyondTheImpossible.Tabletop Game to Tabletop Games, so it'd fit in with the other pages, but the latter subpage is locked. Is it possible to change this?
