This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.
Original post
I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

Hmm. Something that has come to mind recently (but may belong in Edit a Locked Page instead)
With the splitting of the Web Original namespace, would a precautionary lock and PRLC club entry for WebVideo. This Troper be warranted now?
Yup. It is locked.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThink I may have a solution allowing us to unlock the Troll page. This solution was discussed in the archived trope repair topic.

In it, eventually (see the votes), a general consensus was reached that the internet has absolutely nothing to do with being a troll. Rather, it was the malicious manipulation of emotions that mattered. There is also a major difference between a troll and The Gad Fly (these characters are just trying to be funny, not actually intending any actual harm). One of the comparisons I used in this discussion (it actually proved the point quite well) was in comparing Mion to Bernkastel. The Mistakenly Banned page also supports this argument.

I do have an early prototype of the alternate page in progress, but I need help badly here, especially with examples.
That sort of job goes to the Trope Repair Shop. And I really don't think we can release troll from the Locked Pages Club.

Uhmmm... hello! Could you please tell me why was the Alabaster OCT page locked? Thanks.
That page is not locked? It doesn't seem to ever have been created to begin with.
It was cut for being a "stub with no real purpose" and then unlocked. Checking Dragon's edits shows it must have existed at some point. Cutting now wipes the page history, which is very inconvenient.
It should be fine if you recreate the page but add a nice description, trope list, etc.; see How To Create A Works Page.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. That page should not be in Main/ either. It needs a namespace.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerActually, the page that was cut for being a stub is Alabaster-OCT (note the dash).
What sort of work is it?
(Also, the main page might be needed for redirect purposes if there are going to be additional tabs [YMMV/, Characters/, and the like].)
Thanks for the quick response. I was actually trying to write it, but it just got cut and locked before I could finish it. And I must add, I'm really new in this editing thing. :)
Could you pretty please unlock the page? And, where do I get people to help me to build it?
Thankies.

Can a mod please unlock/restore this page? I put it up on the cut list thinking I didn't need it for the Roleplay namespace.
Gonna request one more time for the Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt main page to be unlocked. The DVD has been released, the episodes are available online, and besides it's only the main page that continues to be locked; other pages like Character tropes remain open. Could someone please get around to unlocking it?
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. Can someone please unlock Funny.Bill Cosby? I don't know why it was locked.
I would like to request that Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt be unlocked now that the dub has been released. I'm watching the series as I type this message. Jamie Marchi and Monica Rial make for a great Panty and Stocking, respectively.
Unlocked.
I unlocked the main page. If it stays open for a while with no incident, I'll unlock the YMMV page too.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThank you, Lu 127.
Hello? Anyone here?
Can someone unlock the Cee Lo Green page? I want to put a redirect to the music page. Unless we can't make redirects any more...?
Can FIFTY SHADES OF GREY be unlocked? Last I checked it wasn't there, and as me and my girlfriend (a fellow troper) are finishing the book (she's already on the second one actually) I wanted to make a page for it only to find there is one but it's already locked.
It is at Literature.Fifty Shades Of Grey, but it is currently locked, as there were concerns about its sexual content raised by our content violations panel.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Fair enough, then.
I'll add it to Locked Pages.
