Is there a way I can search the wiki for wicks? I'm trying to remove wicks to Naughty Tentacles, but the site search isn't going so well.
If you mean searching for wicks from cut articles, use the "deleted wicks checker" on Itty Bitty Wiki Tools.
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."How should we proceed? Holler a mod?
@126: Not necessarily. For instance, Dawn Of The Silver Dragon is reportedly Plot With Porn, but I've heard that the plot in question is absolutely godawful.
(Then again, a list of "works that have plots and happen to also have explicit sex in them" is only slightly better.)

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulAgreed, my comment was somewhat harsh. Still, the way the list is written right now does seem a bit too detailed, but that may be just me. On the other hand, I don't know what the right balance of detail versus non-explicitness should be, so I'm bringing this up here to get opinions if, and if yes, what should be done.
A while ago, I put a note on "Funny Aneurysm" Moment clarifying that "a character dies, then the actor dies" doesn't cut it. The pages don't seem to reflect this, and there are a lot of examples that seem loosely connected to the topic at best. I think the nature of the trope is such that the line with Irony tends to blur, and I think a lot of spurious examples are that.
I took the big offenders out of the Comedy and Film pages but I'm sure I missed stuff, and I haven't gotten to the rest yet.
The child is father to the man —OedipusThe Real Life section for Genre Deconstruction. Should I cut it? I mean real life isn't a genre.
I'm pretty sure that's axe worthy
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comI hope this is a right place to ask.
I request to remove "We don't need this" banner from Lotte No Omocha. It's rather insulting (bluntly saying that "your stuff sucks"), somewhat inconvenient (hard to get to the discussion, "related" list, etc.), and completely uncalled for (I haven't seen any other pages with it, except Naughty Tentacles).
No. The banner needs to stay. Same for all other pedophilic works.
If you're going to use the banner, use it for everything that has been cutlisted in the site.
It's just plain rude to single out one work and one trope.
Full Battle ModeIt's not "one work and one trope." Anything overtly pedophiliac and disgusting gets that treatment. Or at least the works that Eddie specifically chose to cut himself.
How is it "rude" to insult the desire to read something that's clearly pedo-shit?

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler."It's just plain rude to single out one work and one trope."
How is it rude?
Maybe because there is more than that in a work?
Also, not the topic of this thread
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPlease do not go there.
I'm just stating the situation that is occurring right now.
That banner is fine for pedo as long as it also is used for everything else that this wiki objects to such as Porn Without Plot works or things like You Troper.
Very sorry about that.

Full Battle ModeRoleplay.Video Game Edition Series seems to be a prehistoric page and needs lots of cleaning.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSorry to post again, but the Justin Timberlake YMMV page keeps having people add stuff to the Unfortunate Implications example that are really just stuff Justin Timberlake did or said that that troper thinks is wrong. I mean, his insulting his ex-girlfriend is mean, but not "unfortunate implications" worthy. Another example cites him having female dancers in a performance. I've deleted examples from there 2 times but they keep showing up again. Should I put one of those hidden message thingies(the ones with the percent signs) on there?
Why do we even have UI for a person?
The child is father to the man —OedipusBecause the page is supposed to be for his music but people keep adding tropes about him as a person.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickDon't we have a "No YMMV for Real People, please" rule?
EDIT: I cut it and added that line.

"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.>_< It's not a YMMV page for a real person. It's a YMMV page for his music.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickRight, my mistake - I realized right after I saw your edit. Sorry.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Fanfic Recs has just returned, but the main page is in serious need of reformatting and general clean-up work. And since it is currently locked, there's no way to fix it as of yet.
Changed the formatting on Fanfic Recs. How does it look?

All things considered, an example sectionomy would be for the best, because that list cannot, by design, be anything but "this work has sex but it's really good, I swear".
