Thanks to my lack of Wi-Fi, money, and a non-Nintendo system, I've never bought DLC. Though, I have downloaded free DLC for a few games, most notably Dragon Quest IX and some of the Pokemon titles.
Along with a few DSiWare games, IIRC.

For Xmas, I got both DLC packs for Borderlands.
Does free DLC count? If so, add Left 4 Dead and Monday Night Combat to that list.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelDepends. If it's plotty DLC (such as most of the ones Mass Effect and Dragon Age) then yes (unless I don't care enough about the game to spend more money on it) but if not its Bribing Your Way to Victory (like in Tales Of Vesperia, Mass Effect 2's various equipment packs and Dragon Age's Feastday Gifts (although now I have that anyway since I bought the Ultimate Edition when I switched to the PC version)).

Well, the free DLC for Left 4 Dead usually adds new campaigns, so yeah.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI only buy DLC for my PS 3 and PSP games, but other than that, not really.
I've only bought the plot DLC for Mass Effect 2 (Kasumi, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker), along with the free Cerberus stuff. I also have Oblivion GOTY Edition, so I have the two main expansions for that.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!I don't mind DLC in itself, but I do mind the nickel-and-diming often asscociated with it since this generation. Shit like having to pay for costumes in Street Fighter IV or new weapons in Vanquish.
What I have: I bought the Fury expansion pack for Wipeout HD (which is excellent) and some of the Mega Man 9 DLC (which are rip-offs but I was trying to empty my Wii points for some reason).
I do get DLC, if I think or hope it's good enough. I've got it for Mass Effect 1 and 2, and for Rock Band 2, and for Borderlands and that's about it. Then again, "free DLC" would mean I should also list Unreal Tournament's Bonus Packs, and similar expansions for many other games of years past =)
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.I...hate DLC. Or maybe it's the fact that you're required to pay MONEY just to DOWNLOAD contents in a game you already bought.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."There's DLC, and then there's Rock Band.
Jeez. I have a love-hate relationship with DLC. If it's free then I got it, no question. If it has a price then I judge whether it is worth the price (they mostly aren't, what with most being $10 for pretty much an hour or two of extra gametime).
Depends on the price and the content really.
#IceBearForPresidentPlus, I can't help but think developers are using DLC as an excuse to hold back on actually completing their games sometimes, and then profit even more from them.
Before DLC, all of those bonus contents were already in the game as unlockables, now...we have to pay EXTRA money just to get them.
Laziness or greed? *
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I've gotten free ones, obviously, but aside from that... I waited to buy the ultimate edition of Dragon Age Origins, and that's pretty much it.
I've bought a few DLC stuff before - map packs for Killzone 2, level packs and a few costumes for Little Big Planet, extra unlockables in Soul Calibur IV, songs in Rock Band 2, some skins for Killing Floor, and all the Borderlands DLC. Other than that, though, it seems like only the games that I don't buy are the ones that get DLC, so I guess that's a good thing.

Maybe I will start once I get a monitor than can display text clearly enough to read at a distance with the PS 3, but I must admit, the idea of DLC, like the idea of event-only Pokemon, strikes me as kinda stupid on general principle.
I love DLC. I've bought stuff for Fallout, Rock Band, Uncharted, Killzone, GTA, and so on.
I don't mind DLC. There are times where I think it's stupidly used (Hard Corps Uprising, I'm looking at you), but I'm not heavily opposed to it.
I don't get DLC because I don't play any games with DLC. That said, I believe that the variant of DLC which is a code for stuff already on the disk should be made a felony by every law in the world.
I'd also like more fan mods to become DLC, preferably with royalty payments for their creators.
I am happy if they just got rid of the whole DLC "unlocking" content business. That is just daylight robbery IMO.

Yup. Visceral Games recently did a (weird) Take That Us with Dead Space 2 concerning on-disc DLC for the console versions ending up in the PC one by mistake - patch the game with the latest patch, you get it all for free in the nearest in-game store.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Yeah the "unlocking" type needs to die in a fire.
But on the whole, I'm for the idea of DLC. It allows expansions and new content for console games. Sure, for every Point Lookout or Secret Armory of General Knoxx you get three horse armors, but in general I like the idea of DLC.
I yes horse armour. Those were some funny times. DLC like new weapons and stuff should be free. Only bigger content should have a price tag.
Do you actually buy DLC? And if you do, for what games?
I don't.
