Borderlands 2

The bearded guy (Salvador, yes?) appears to be a dwarf.

First impressions from the trailer:

• Looks similar, but definitely better than the original, where it was "wasteland, wasteland, wasteland, SNOW, cave, cliffs, space vagina".
• Zero is using guns, at several times in the trailer. Boo. At least he'll have the sword for melee.
• Marcus is notably absent in the trailer (in his non-statued form, anyway). And now I'm really curious as to who the little kid is after Moxxi.
• Wonder if the HUD is going to be more like Dead Space than before. Looks nice.
• Maya's talent trees are Motion, Harmony, and Catalyst(?). Couldn't really see the red tree title.
• Salvador possibly facing off against a new superboss that's not Crawmerax? Interesting.
• "96.5% more WUB WUB. 879 gajillion more guns. 1,000 degrees hotter." Best. Tag line. Ever.

In short...my money has already been taken by them.

I am seriously torn now between the Siren and Assassin. While I always liked the Siren class in the first game, the ability to play as a cyborg ninja is just plain Badass.

Even if his name and design is cliche.

I'm gonna rock the Siren a second time.

Especially since it doesn't seem like her ability makes the target invulnerable, which I expected it to.

I'm gonna try them all out. All of them seem cool.

Borderlands 2 will use Steamworks for PC.

Very good! Game Spy's been pretty shonky when I go multiplayer.

Since Maya and Zero are so popular, I'm gonna play the soldier, no particular reason.

Seriously, stop looking at me, I said no reason.

Funnily, I would have assumed "white guy that is a soldier" to be the most milquetoast option of any shooter ever.

I guess we just like ninjas and tits better.

To be honest, space ninjas really are awesome, Maya's power seems to extend even beyond the territory of her boobies. Soldier is meh, I don't even remember his name, but I love turrets.

The gunzerker just sounds lame to me.

Commando actually looks the most similar to Borderlands' soldier though, which is amusing because the new Siren looks like it'll play a little differently from old Siren. Obviously, it's too early to tell for sure though.

Watched the trailer, I kinda wanted to play as Mordecai again, but hey, it looks sweet.

Though I didn't quite expect "98.25% more WUB WUB".

But tits are good too. We cannot deny that.

I was humorously oversimplifying anyway.

I'll probably rock siren again, even if Zero has the old "Quick escape" move I found so useful the new Phaselock looks like ooey-gooey gaming goodness.

And yeah, gameplay will be choked with Axtons probably.

Gonna go Zero because he seems the coolest to me. However the ability to deploy turrets fields away is pretty awesome. Was thinking about going Siren but she sounds more Support this time around so I think I'll skip her this time. I like red heads better anyway.

I liked Soldier. Shoot people to heal them! It looks like Commando can't do it?

Hmmm, I doubt they'd drop that. Few games make healing fun like that.

It looks like Phaselock is going to be the healing thing now (unless Axton's turret is going to do the healing like Roland's did).

Eh, still going to rock the Gunzerker the first time around. That Dual Wielding is going to be awesome, once I get two Valdof guns

Plus, his skills increase the amount of ammo you actually carry, which will be a nice change. Likely he'll also have the Ammo Regen mod, as that seems to be his hat.

So I've seen a few places mention that there's only a handful of Sirens in existence - where do we know that from? A DLC? Some supplemental comic or whatever that I didn't know existed?

By the way, Lilith was so much hotter. :P

They're born apparently.

The wiki says there could be anything between six and thirteen Sirens in existence, but that wiki article is also categorised under 'Statements needing citations', so grain of salt, etc.
