Wondering whether or not to buy IV. On one hand, it's the only fighting game on the 3DS. On the other hand... I rented it from Gamefly once, and from the very start, everything's already unlocked, and, generally... unless there's something I seriously missed, there's nothing to do.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerOnline is eh. Also there's Blazblue on 3DS but...
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI feel like that should have been the other way around truthfully.
Still funny.
One Strip! One Strip!Soooo is nobody talking about this?
All 12 episodes are on Youtube.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. The Wii U eshop's basically giving away Alpha 2 for a buck fifty right now, those who haven't heard.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerNow that Capcom is about to be acquired, does that mean Street Fighter will be rebooted, like what happened with Mortal Kombat when Ed Boon and chums relocated to Warner Bros and reestablished the franchise as Netherrealm Studios?
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition is for free right now, for those interested in picking it up off XBOX Live.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursHonestly, not really. Street Fighter has always had much less of a story focus than Mortal Kombat, and there are a lot of people who still remember the main cast.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Most if not all characters in the Street Fighter series barring a few from Street Fighter 1 are damn iconic and memorable. The same I can't say for SNK, as much as I love them. Lots of forgettable faces, but also many iconic and personality filled characters.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Don't you think it's about high time they did?
if anyone cares, the SSF 4 AE Remix mod has also been updated to use the Steamworks version. Uses a brand new executable that links to its own folders now so no more folder renaming malarkey, just run the EXE.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI don't think it's high time for anything by Capcom. If what I've heard is correct, they're getting ready for a potential buyout.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Picked up AE off Live, it's free so why not? But man Oni and Evil Ryu are just so stupid, I hate them. I already have enough problems with shotos and now two more? No.
And I've forgotten how annoying Blanka is. Uggggghhhhh.
So ultra can can upgrade via download, no? Elena/Hugo/Poison are kind of tempting...
I believe it can, yes. Go for it. I still gotta wait for August to get it on Steam but I can now preorder the upgrade on there.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowWhat part of "like what happened with Mortal Kombat when Ed Boon and chums relocated to Warner Bros. and reestablished the franchise as Netherrealm Studios" didn't you understand? To expand on that, they can't call themselves Capcom, just set up a new company called Hadouken Studios or something. Also, when I meant by "as," I meant that if "as Midway," that referred to back when they were in Midway, with "as Netherrealm Studios," that refers to right now.

I hear the online is way worse though? Second thoughts...
I would say early Samsho > Street fighter in terms of character design.

so... random question.
what are the odds of a Street Fighter 5 coming out on this next gen of consoles (PS 4, XB 1, Wii U, etc.)? i figure there's only like, two more adjectives Capcom can add to Street Fighter 4 before people start getting really antsy.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. It's bound to happen and I feel like Ultra is sort of the end to SF 4.
I'm kind of miffed they changed Seth's name from Cain just to pay tribute to Seth Killian. Pretty lame since Cain plays off his relation to Abel better, not that would've made him that much better of a character.

I just love how there's a final boss character in a Fighter game called "Seth". It sounds like the kinda name a pencil pusher would have, not a genetic experiment.

I always had this idea that they could save 'Cain' for a third character. He would be kind of in between Abel and Seth in terms of appearance and playstyle(?) if that makes sense.
"What's the matter? You come to fight a pencil pusher, and instead find a nudie cyborg?"
Feels different to me, since I barely know anyone named Seth IRL, and I'm more familiar with Set/h of Egyptian Mythology.
Heh.
I was really wondering what that had to do with Street Fighter. Well, now I know.
