Homeworld. My single favorite game, ever. My problem may be that I gush about it too much, but I still run into the problem of it being a slow-paced game with a very good story - people percieve it as being either too slow to be entertaining, or a sort of video game novel. The music, as well, takes a little getting used to But then again, one of those friends also thinks all strategy games are boring and they train people to be little Hitlers or something... maybe I should talk games with other people...
My classmates don't talk about games all that much despite being all males. The talk is usually about COD or sports games, I'd be going too far to expect diversity. I don't believe they know a lot about videogame culture anyway.
But whenever I'm asked about what games I like to play; "Well, I play point-and-click, action adventure, RPG's, platformers... hey where are you going?"
At least I have my MSN buddy. We can gush about our favorite things to each other with no limit.
"Liar liar on the wall, give the world to me..."Yeah. So true.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.I gushed about Minecraft too much that it put a friend off it.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceGrand Theft Auto San Andreas for me.

Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEWorld Of Warcraft. My gushing and the monthly fee scares off most of my friends.

Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!Littlebigpanet and no more heroes
....WhyAnything that is 'overly Japanese'. Yesterday, a friend of mine called Elite Beat Agents "one of those games only you could enjoy".
Super Robot Wars , the more I spread it the more likely of an OG translation!
Probably not but still. I got one person into it though!
Most games I can carefully explain why I enjoy, its merits compared to others, and why I think they'd enjoy it and usually i'd be able to get people to at least try it out. With Free Space, however, i'm just "OMG BEST GAME EVER MADE BEST SPACE SIM EVER MADE BEST MODS EVER MADE PLAYITPLAYITPLAYITPLAYIT".
"Delenda est." "Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed." -Common Roman saying at the end of speeches.Persona 3 & 4 and Blaz Blue, for the most part. My gushing tends to go into overdrive if any of those are involved.
Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.I can't gush about the Castlevania games because they don't know what I'm talking about, and I can't gush about Kirby because he's pink so that apparently makes all the games little baby adventures.
Thankfully my friends aren't Call Of Duty freaks, otherwise I couldn't talk to them anymore.
I'd feel like an ass if I came here and said "nothing", so the Shin Megami Tensei series is something I used to talk a game about.
I'm told I talk about Mega Man a little too much.
Fortunately, all of my friends (all of them) like Mega Man to some degree, so putting them off it, so to speak, isn't going to happen.
I have 'gushed' about Home Stuck a little too much for them though. Actually getting them to read it is becoming a chore.

On a side note, all my friends (and brothers) gushing about Minecraft made me take that up too.

GUESS WHO'S GONNA HAVE TO MOP UP ALL THIS BLOODMy friends would always make fun of me for being such a huge Pokemon and Sonic fan.
I was bashed on You Tube for liking Sonic's friends.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DEvery time i gush about a game that is not japanese or about strategy to my friends.
I geek out pretty hard over Alice In Wonderland shtuff. Cue Alice: Madness Returns coming out, and the geekgasm I had over it.
Cue me buying it the day it comes out, beating it in a few days, and all the while studying it intensely for its connections back to the literary work, and I highly doubt my friends have any interest in the franchise anymore.
That and all my friends, to varying degrees, believe World Of Warcraft to be a completely pointless game and/or waste of time.
Castlevania.
Metroid not as much as a friend of mine has played a few of the games. Funnily enough, I'm getting the reverse from said friend, who recommends Earthbound like 3 times a month. And then everyone else tells me to play COD and it's like DO NOT WANT.
