I don't know how but M Ark and Lisa seem to both develop as character and not develop as characters.
That...that's actually a very good question. Maybe because most of the action takes place in that one room in Johnny and Lisa's apartment?
EDIT: Well, how about this:
DOUBLE EDIT: That...that didn't help at all. From what I found through googling "why is it called the room", apparently, Tommy wanted the title to evoke the image of a safe place for the viewer...which still makes no sense.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. This should help... for the most part. Answer around the 1:15 mark (Oh Hai, Mark).
"It iz nahht A room, it iz ZEE room!"
All of his answers are great. I especially love his contradictory answer to "Is The Room for everyone?"

"It's such a fine line between stupid and clever."This was a really strange movie. It's like an elaborate joke being played on us all, so bad that I really don't know what's true here. Did it really have a budget of that scale? Is it really some kind of comedy-gone-wrong-gone-right? It's so hard to be sure, and I'm dying. I got the results of the test back; I definitely have breast cancer.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)That's not true, eets bowlscheeit, you don hav brays caancer,u du NAHTTTTT, ojai discussion.
Watter a story, Bat Pencil. You seem leik the exxxxpeeert!
I can't tell you my client, is confidential...
by the way how's your sex life?
Most hilariously bad film of all time, even outdoing Street Fighter.
True story about the two sex scenes between Johnny and Lisa - the reason they use the exact same footage is that Juliette Danielle was so repulsed by Wiseau that she refused to let him near her a second time.
There's two Star Wars dubs - the way in which the random scenery pan shots are used is GENIUS, and the sheer number of ways the makers found to use "cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep" was amazing. I won't say where either are, just watch for yourself.

My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username. So after I found some time I finally got around to watching this.
… Slightly disapointed to be honest. I mean, it is bad. Really terribad, and the budget doesn't show on the screen. Buuut… it looks like with a half-sane director it might have been a vaguely passable TV drama.
The filming is ordinary − though what is filmed is another story entirely −, the music is okay − though it's literally the music, as the main theme covers like half of the movie −, and most actors (save for Lisa's mom and, of course, Wiseau) are pretty decent − I mean, as decent as the script allows. Oh, and Lisa is a hilarious villain for her sheer pettiness.
What really makes the movie… what it is, is the writing. It's so all over the place you sometimes wonder if they filmed the scenes out of order or did several versions of the same scene and then kept them all. Some dialogues are painfully flat and mundane, others are just WTF?!, and others sound like a Broken Record. Half the scenes have no consequence, and the other half makes no sense.
In the end though, I didn't laugh as much as I thought I would, maybe because my brain was temporarily frozen by the amount of Fridge Logic every scene caused. It's probably the kind of movie that's funnier to watch with buddies than alone.
If you're confused, you might want to follow up on the movie by reading The Disaster Artist. It sheds some light on the fiasco that was the film production, and it's pretty fun to read.
What's the quality of the Blu-ray like? Worth getting, or will watching Tommy Wiseau's ass in HD forever ruin my eyes?
Independence Day 2 would be improved with Tommy Wiseau as the lead.
Wouldn't Wiseau be more fitted to be the alien leader? That would certainly explain his obscure origins.
I heard about that one yeah. It's cool to see that some actors can look back at it and laugh, although it seems nobody was laughing during the production…
… by the way, what's this story about Wiseau wanting to use 35mm film and a HD camera together for the film? How does that work?

That's supposedly where the six million dollar budget went—he couldn't decide between 35mm and digital so he bought both. I think they filmed with both, don't recall.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984He filmed with both, but only the 35mm footage ended up in the final movie. The HD stuff had some problems in terms of audiovisual synchronization.
I've seen the Nostalgia Critic review this, but ironically, I've never seen the film myself. :P
Anyone seen The Neighbors, he apparently made a 10 episode sitcom taking place in an apartment.
...Like the difference between Birdemic 2 and Birdemic, this is either hilarious because it fails at trying to fail, making it's own.
Or it's just plain old awful because it lacks that same love.
What tidbits I've seen and what I've heard from reviews incline more towards the former leaning.
It's best to watch The Room with Riff Trax protection.
That's what I did. And it was awesome.
"Thanks for the lesson. But I don't need you to tell me who I am."Riff Trax protection? Well, aren't you all a bunch of little chickens.
Cheeep! Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! Cheeeeeeppp!!
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.Did Franco just managed to out-Wiseau Wiseau in his looks?
It is surprisingly uncanny. Not sure about Dave as Greg, though.
So far the cast includes Kate Upton (Juliette?), Jacki Weaver (Carolyn?), Hannibal Buress (no idea), Josh Hutcherson (confirmed as Philip), and Seth Rogen (also no idea).

Tommy Wiseau apparently also starred in Samurai Cop 2.
What a story, SFN.
