Well, usually I'm just trying to turn around and attack normally, but I end up dash attacking that way instead. And with characters like Megaman whos dash attacks cover miles of distance, it can sometimes put me into a bad position.

I'm starting to suspect I might be the only person here who leaves tap jumps on.

I sure said that!

I think I left those on by accident... which would explain one problem I have seeing as I'm used to playing without them. I should check.

I leave tap jump off because up-tilt is a pretty damn important move for Greninja and I'd like to be able to use it whenever I want without risking an accidental jump.

I play with tap jump on, if only because I don't like the idea of having jumping be dependent solely on buttons when there's so many other things to worry about.

Even in the other games I never used up to jump, in fact I didn't even know you could do that for a long time. I'm just too used to pressing buttons to jump that tap jump is really useless for me.

Since the multiplayer thread is so quiet, would you be up for a match or two Moon?

Jump tap has caused so many accidental jumps in the past for me, REALLY glad I can turn it off for once >_<

I'm currently writing a Christmas story and I really want to finish it in time, so I'll have to refuse this time.

One of my brothers is getting the Wii U version for Christmas (we don't have a house Wii U yet), so I imagine that I and both my brothers will have a lot of fun with it before he has to go back to college.

I leave tap jump on mainly because I've never encountered issue with it. I have enough input control to do tilts and smashes without fear of accidentally jumping.

That a remade scene from a Pokemovie?

The Lucario in Smash is based on the Lucario from Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (which is why he can talk). That Lucario had a thing for chocolate, which I believe was because it reminded Lucario of his trainer (it's been a while since I've seen the movie).

So yes, it's a reference to a Pokemovie.tongue

Isn't Lucario a canid, and thus susceptible to theobromine poisoning?

Eh, Pokemon in general are shown to eat various things that their real world counterparts - if they have them - could never eat. Maybe Lucario just has a literal iron stomach or something.

And looking at the page, I was wrong about the meaning of the chocolate; it was something Max gave to Lucario in order to befriend him, and Lucario is later shown sharing chocolate with his original trainer at the end of the movie. The Trademark Favorite Food thing appears to have been a fandom creation originally.

A lot of Pokémon are based on carnivorous animals that you probably wouldn't see eating berries or herbs either. Not to mention the Castelia Cones from B/W.

I think Pokémon can eat pretty much anything they want tongue

Castelia Cones in particular, since from what I understand most animals become lactose intolerant after infancy, if they weren't already.

I just had two rather unusual matchups. I played three team battles, and for each of them two players always chose Villager. In the first match, my partner and I both chose Little Mac, and the partners on both teams used the default skin. The Villager team won that bout. The second match was relatively unremarkable, but the third match was unbelievable. One of the players dropped out during the second match and was eventually replaced by someone with the nickname villager.

Needless to say, the third match was absolute chaos with 4 Villagers running around firing Lloids and planting the occasional tree. Surprisingly little Pocketing was done, though I did manage to KO one of the others with a Pocketed tree. Oh, and the match was fought on Tortimer Island.

I just played the most incompetent player. They actually self destructed with shield break as jigglypuff for some reason.
