Void of Losers (VOL) is a Slice of Life Object Show and the official Village of Objects Spin-Off webcomic written and drawn by JaymenObjects. It was released on 7th April 2021 on the Village Of Objects twitter.

Ever wonder what entailed the lives of the debut cast of VOO before they actually debuted? Well, they're still trapped in the same void when we first found them but that doesn't mean these 28 recommended characters wouldn't get into wacky hi-jinks.

Meanwhile, Limey, the brother of Lemony, trekked hundreds of miles before enlisting the help of adventurer-for-hire Water Bottle in his quest to find his sister.

It's highly advised to watch the main series first before reading the webcomic to clear things up. Official comic dubs are released on the VOO YouTube channel.

The web-comic contains the following tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Void of Losers allows the debut cast to have an equal chance in the spotlight. Something they constantly harass Catbell for in VOO after they became the hosts.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": Carries forward from VOO with new additions Water Bottle (a water bottle), Limey (a lime) and Robot Blue Rectangle (guess).
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Here, there and everywhere in this non-competition object show.
  • Ascended Extra: Limey and Water Bottle went from being recommended charactersnote  to protagonists of the B-plot, Void Of Losers: Expedition.
  • Blank White Void: The Void of Losers is what you expect from this trope. The exact location is unknown be it's seemingly a Pocket Dimension accessed only by TV's screen.
  • Bottle Episode: All the issues involving the debut cast take place in the Void of Losers since they're all stuck there with no reachable way out.
  • The Bus Came Back: Long after VOO Mini was finished, who knew Kazoo and Sim Code, the last-placer and winner respectively, would make a surprise appearance as the bartenders of the pub where the VOO expedition trio were resting at in "Why Go By".
  • Canon Foreigner: Robot Blue Rectangle is created specifically for VOL and not a recommended character like everyone else. What's strange is that given he was made inside the void, he wasn't seen nor part of the debut cast when Candy Corn discovered them.
  • Foregone Conclusion: Limey and Water Bottle's expedition is rendered moot since Lemony was already freed in VOO and the comic served as a Prequel, making it highly unlikely that they will ever find her.
  • Out of Focus: Catbell and Bowling Ball aren't as prominent in the comic as they are in the main show. This is because they already have major roles in VOO as the hosts and debut contestant respectively, making it a case of Demoted to Extra.
  • Prequel: The spinoff is set before the events of "Blue Void" and after the debut cast got stuck in the Void of Losers.
  • Ship Tease: If indicated by "Dinner at the Diner", Water Bottle has a crush on Limey when he tried flirting with him. Word of Gay already confirmed Water Bottle and Limey to be gay and bisexual respectively so it's a matter of time whether they would get together or not.
  • Take That, Audience!: JaymenObjects drew "The Obligatory Catbell Issue" just to please the fans after they noticed the lack of Catbell in the webcomic and demanded to get some focus. However, it features the duo doing absolutely nothing with no punchline and quickly moves on to the next issue.
  • Token Trio: The expedition cast consists of Limey (Bisexual), Water Bottle (Gay) and Mayonnaise (Non-Binary).
  • Two Lines, No Waiting: The A-plot involves the Void residents and their antics is while the B-plot involves Limey finding his sister with the aid of Water Bottle in barren wastelands. Thanks to the locations of where the storylines take place, it's unlikely the two would ever cross over.
