The Void Masquerade is a fantasy webcomic about the "world of the Beyond" - where something is not quite right. Towns are vanishing without a trace, and distorted monsters made entirely out of static are ravaging the lands, with most of the population unaware of the goings on.It can be read here.
The Void Masquerade contains examples of:
- Eldritch Abomination: Creatures made of static are ravaging the land. The first one seen - the static beast - is a constantly shifting, vaguely bird-like creature with too many eyes to count.
- Extra Eyes: The Static Beast has too many eyes to count.
- Eyes Do Not Belong There: The static beast has many eyes all along it’s body.
- The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: The Static Beast not only has an animated tv static texture whenever it’s on a page, but as the fight with it goes on, it slowly causes the static effect to start to spill over into the rest of the pages.
- Runic Magic: The owl can trace runes in the air to use magic attacks.
