The Stalker (The Sims 2) is a collection of six horror movies created by user dan10093. It is made using The Sims 2 and each film is released in different parts (the exact amount of parts varies, though around ten is the average). It is heavily inspired by Scream, however it also contains elements from I Know What You Did Last Summer and Halloween. The films were originally going to end at the third sequel, but more or less continued on three movies. The series' main character is Katie Barcley, a young woman who is continuously mentally and physically attacked by an unknown person in a white and black ninja suit, usually using those who are important to her. This method has also been used to torment Lori Yates, one of the survivors of the third film. As of 2013, five movies have been finished with the 6th and final film in production (though due to technical problems, the future of the series is up in the air at this stage).

     Tropes used in all films

  • Animation Bump: The animations (and death sequences) become noticeably more sophisticated as the series goes on, which is impressive considering the whole thing is made with The Sims 2 (and a heap of mods).
Anyone Can Die: Unless your name is Katie Barcley, there's no guarantee you're making it out alive (and in the first film, Katie herself wasn't safe due to Jen appearing to be the main protagonist).
  • Asshole Victim: If there's more than one killer, there's a chance one of them will off their accomplice.
  • Attention Whore: Usually one of the antagonist's motives is ether stealing or getting fame.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: The killers almost always work in pairs (or more!).
  • Bittersweet Ending: Pretty much all the endings. Although someone lives and the killer is always apprehended, there's usually a high body count. The only exception is The Stalker 5, which ends on a Cliffhanger involving the unidentified Stalkers kidnapping Lori and Katie and Annie being framed for the killings.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: The killer's eyes in the ninja suit.
  • Everyone Is a Suspect: No one is above suspicion. Even people who appear on-screen with the Stalker, due to the fact there tends to be more than one killer. In the fifth film, Katie herself is a suspect.
  • Evil Phone / Harassing Phone Call: The killer's most famous move is calling the victim's numbers and not saying anything.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: The killers all seem to use knives.
  • Love Interest: Adam to Katie in the original and the sequel and Steven in The Stalker 3. Tim to Lori and Brendan to Holly in The Stalker 3 and Brendan to Lori in The Stalker 4.

     Tropes used in The Stalker
  • Adults Are Useless: Then again, we only see them for about one minute in the entire movie. The only adult who appears prominently turns out to be one of the killers.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Kris is the Blonde, Jen and Katie are the Brunette, and Alex is the Redhead.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Jason doesn't even appear for two seconds, and we already see his horrific demise (he was ripped in half offscreen). Jen's death ends with her being struck in the skull with a meat cleaver.
  • Damsel out of Distress: Katie, although Adam has to save her in the climax (though not from lack of trying).
  • Danger Takes a Backseat: Alex's death only shows the killer staring at her from behind the backseat before she is killed offscreen.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Jen. Many people were greatly surprised that she was killed. And quite brutally, I might add.
  • Died on Their Birthday: Tom orchestrated the killing spree at his own birthday party before he ultimately gets shot and killed by Richard once he Outlived His Usefulness.
  • The Dog Was the Mastermind: Tom is revealed to be one of the killers.
  • Freudian Excuse: The reason Richard's after Katie is because she was a Child by Rape. Tom's reason is because he's obsessively in love with her.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Adam is slashed in the back with a meat cleaver by Tom, however he survives. Jen was also killed via cleaver to the head.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: Katie figures out Richard is the killer when he mentions exactly how Jen was killed, without Katie having having told him first.
  • Missing Mom: Katie's mother is gone on a business trip with her sister, Holly. She does appear in a deleted scene though.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: We really have to give some credit to the killers: Jason's death was both disturbing yet fascinating. They also manage to murder everyone at the party in one night! Wow.
  • Peek-a-Boo Corpse: Jason's body is placed in front of Kris' door in the opening. The Stalker hides the dead party-goers bodies in the garage. Katie also finds Jen's body in the upstairs bathroom.
  • Too Dumb to Live: What does Kris do when she see's Jason's dead body? Runs upstairs, doesn't even bother to stop and call the police, and the place she hides? An open balcony that ultimately leads to her death and instead of getting up, crawls around on the ground. Nice escape plan, honey.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Alex. Her death is only mentioned twice, and even then it's not officially clear, and she's not even mentioned again for the rest of the movie.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Richard. He only wants to live a peaceful life with his wife and daughter. The way he plans to do it however is out of the question.

Tropes used in The Stalker 2
  • Badass Boast: When Adam is shot by David:
  • Break the Cutie: Katie, which is understandable considering what happened to her in the first film.
    • Christie: Is grounded by Emma for smoking behind the school, is obviously missing her parents, goes tanning with her best friend in an attempt to get out of the room, goes to lock the door and returns to find said best friend being killed, is chased throughout the building by a psychopath, and Mood Whiplash and is immediately killed the moment she spots Emma and Katie.
  • Death by Falling Over: Heather is killed when she falls on the ground. However she did receive a pretty brutal beating just a minute before by the killer.
  • Expy: Jullie the reporter is arguably Gale Weathers prior to Character Development.
  • Kill It with Fire: Mia is burned alive in a tanning bed.
  • Mood Whiplash: After seemingly escaping the killer, Christie breathes a sigh of relief when she spots Katie and Emma coming around the corner and turns around only to be stabbed in the gut by the killer.
  • Police Are Useless: All Officer Baxtor does is read a newspaper and get killed. And he's the "supposed protection" from the killers.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Emma's eyes turn bright red when she finds Christie and Mia smoking.
  • Shout-Out: After entering her apartment, Heather complains about Dawson watching Halloween again.
  • Stalker with a Crush: David reveals to Katie that he and Tom used the sneak pictures of her and broke into her house one time to watch her sleep when they were younger.
  • Staircase Tumble: How Katie gets knocked out: being thrown down the stairs by the killer.
  • Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: Adam, the second survivor of the first film dies early on.
