This show contains the following tropes:

  • A Dog Named "Dog": All of the characters in the show have the name of what object they are.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Since it is an object show, every contestant is a living object, with the exception of Spork in terms of the living part.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: The show has a few examples of this, mainly fruits.note
  • Armless Biped: Air Mattress, Badge, Blueberry, Checker, Lime, Pomegranate, and TV all have no arms. Sign is an inversion, having arms and no legs.
  • Art Shift: Due to many of the animators having notably different art styles, the style of the animation will often change.
  • Audience Participation: Viewers are able to vote for a character they want to save from being eliminated in every episode.
  • Black Bead Eyes: Characters have black ovals for their eyes.
    • Inverted with TV, whose eyes are white.
    • Downplayed in one scene in episode 6, where, due to the animator’s art style, all of the eyes are dark gray ovals.
  • Companion Cube:
    • Unlike the rest of the contestants, Spork is simply an inanimate spork, although the other contestants treat it like it’s alive, especially Checker. Subverted in episode 8, when Spork manages to talk, though only the characters in the show can tell it’s talking.
    • In episode 5, Blueberry makes Rock Senpai, a rock with a face drawn on it, as a practice date for Cologne. Both Blueberry and Cologne treat her like she’s a real person.
  • Curse Cut Short:
    • CJ has this happen to him twice. In episode 4, he gets cut off by the scene changing to TV before he can finish saying "bullshit." In episode 7, he gets cut off by the voting screen while screaming “fuck.”
    • In episode 8, TV gets cut off by a fake commercial break before he can say "fuck".
  • Death Is Cheap: Due to the recovery center build by Cactus, anyone who dies is brought back to life.
  • Faking the Dead: The first part of Coughdrop’s plan in episode 8 note  is to fake his and Air Mattress’s deaths.
  • Fingerless Hands: Unless characters suddenly need fingers for whatever reason, characters just have hands that are black circles.
  • Food as Bribe: In episode 1, Burger uses the promise of food to get Air Mattress to work on the sculpture.
  • Mistaken for Romance: Exploited by Stone to get Burger to admit to his alliance with Pomegranate by using a relationship in replacement for the alliance. Instead of saying alliance member, he calls Pomegranate Burger’s girlfriend.
  • Precision F-Strike: Sign says the f-word (albeit bleeped out) when she gets eliminated. It’s the only time a character swears without getting cut off.
