Squeek's Oddysee

For those less familiar with the affairs of Oddworld Inhabitants in the 2000s, Squeek's Oddysee was the name of the planned third game in the Quintology(composed, to this date, of Abe's Oddysee and Munch's Oddysee; Exoddus is a bonus game). Unfortunately, with OI's departure from the game industry(and apparent hiatus for over 10 years), it never got produced. All we knew about it was that it was about symbiosis and (maybe) species extinction. Very well, let's start speculating.

  • All we know is that "Squeek has some connection with symbiosis and to be low in the food chain". It's obvious to assume he's a small symbiont organism that latches itself to other bigger creatures(akin to Abe's spiritual possession and Munch's electronic radar control), but... maybe not. Maybe he's a big herbivore, which would make him the lowest possible in the food chain. Possibly, Squeek's symbionts grant him different abilities, and he's the key to save multiple species of smaller and weaker species that cannot survive alone.
  • Updated info relates that Squeek uses creatures called "brain slurgz" that latch onto a victim's brain and allow them to be controlled. It is very possible that this means that, unlike Abe and Munch, he will be able to for a small army of controlled creatures. Neat.

Mudokons are ancestors of Kroot.
Both races are descended from birds, share similar nature-based themes, have low health, low tech, and have similar hair-feathers.
  • Mudokons are descended from birds?
    • According to Word of God, yes. A bit vague in-game, but there are things here and there that point at it, such as the bird portals and feather-like hair of Mudoken Natives in Munch's Oddysee.

Stranger is female.
Not only do we never see the signature horns that a Steef is supposed to have on Stranger, we never see the slightest traces of horns. The other races seen in Stranger's Wrath aren't very sexually dimorphic... Stranger might just be a she.
  • I believe it's established that he had them cut off surgically so no one would realize he's a steef.
    • It's stated very clearly they were removed in the original animatic for the reveal scene, but the line was left out in the final game.

Stranger is a runt.
I was always under the impression that Stranger was a runt. If you look at the Steef heads mounted in Sekto's office, there are two sets of horns: a small set on the forehead and the larger ones further back on the head. Stranger not only has no horns, he doesn't even have stubs where the horns would be. The Grubs comment on how he looks quite scrawny for a Steef. A race that revered Steefs as their guardians would probably be able to recognize a female Steef, so that WMG seems unlikely. It’s hard to tell, but Stranger appears to be fully grown (and if he expected to grow more, he probably would have waited to get that surgery until after his legs were completely developed), and compared to the other Steefs we do see, he’s quite small.
  • Stranger filed down his horns to hide the fact that he had horns. Are the stubs shown in-game?
    • In the scenes with his hat off, I don't see any stubs. When he's captured, they say outright "(It's) got no horns!" The file for his surgery shows sawed-off horn stubs, but Stranger doesn't have them. Has there been any canon explanation that he filed his horns off?
      • If Stranger is a female, it makes the capture scene a LOT darker... (GET THEM PANTS OFF!)

Stranger's Wrath had a sequel hook
Sekto getting away at the end turns the bittersweet ending into a downer ending, but this was intentional: he and Stranger would've appeared in an Oddysee or Exoddus game as part of a side-quest, providing support for you and asking for your help to defeat Sekto once and for all, allowing the player to use him temporarily. By helping him, Stranger would've shown up later in a Big Damn Heroes scene to aid the main squad.

There will also be a HD remake of Abe's Exoddus...
And in the same naming theme of Abe's Oddysee: New N' Tasty, it will be called Abe's Exoddus: Twice The Flavor
  • And if they make an Updated Re-release for the HD remake of Munch's Oddysee, it would be called More Moolah for the Developers, or Can o' Gabbiar. The remake would include the content that was cut from the beta trailer.
  • Confirmed: There is a remake of Abe's Exoddus, but it is called Oddworld: Soulstorm.

Fangus Klot and the Stranger are connected to each other
If you pay attention, Fangus's attire design is rather similar to the Stranger's. After all, somebody had to have taught the Stranger how to fight.

A game after Soulstorm will either be a reimagining of Munch's Oddysee or will simply include elements from that part of the intended Quintology.
As it stands, the plot point of Abe reuniting with his mother was a planned story element as far back as Munch but they never had a chance to include it. It could also give a chance to give Munch another chance to shine for the series.

In the next game, Abe can transform into the Shrykull whenever he wants, via a Limit Break.

Munch will get his own Super Mode.

Stranger will be hired to hunt down Abe in the sequel
Molluck will still be wanting revenge on Abe and puts a Bounty on the Mudokon's head, with the price of 20,000 moolah, which is the price a certain Bounty Hunter needs for his surgery.

Of course, Abe will convince Stranger to let him go, and when Stranger is captured, Abe returns the favor and helps free him, resulting in him joining the main heroes for the remainder of the series.

Squeek will appear in the fourth game.

There will be a direct introduction to melee combat for Abe.
Rather than have it come out of nowhere like in Munch's Oddysee.

Abe will be a stronger Mudokon in the next game.

The Mudokons sold their own people into slavery
Much of the history of how the Mudokons became enslaved was left ambiguous throughout the series, the closest explanation we got was that the Mudokons started to work for the Glukkons until they were enslaved. However, with the implications of Abe's shock of learning some truth and The Keeper's pleas for Abe's forgiveness in Soulstorm. It seems like the ancient Mudokons were the ones who betrayed their own people and sold them to the Industrial races as cheap labor; possibly hinting at a more darker alliance that the Mudokons had with their Glukkon neighbors.

What Abe saw was how the Mudokons caused the rise of the industrialists.
In short he saw his peoples whole history including the abuses they heaped on others after the Mudokon moon showed up. He saw when they were the dominant players and just as bad as the Glukkons to everyone around them, just with spiritualism and mind control rather than industry and processed meats.

Sekto helped form the Cartel with Lady Margaret.
Being a cousin of the Glukkons, it would make sense to set him up as a Greater-Scope Villain by making him a business partner with her and pretty much one of the guys responsible for the way Oddworld currently is.

Abe will confront Molluck directly as a boss.
Probably to serve as Book Ends to the franchise.

Abe will drive vehicles.
Would be badass for him to ride a motorbike.

Abe will get a love interest.
Either she will be a character from the concept art of Citizen Siege or she will be an entirely new character.

There's a cave filled with Steef eggs in the reboot continuity, completely untouched by the Cartel.

Most of the Clakkerz don't know about Abe.

Lady Margaret and Sekto knew about Abe the whole time.
They had spies recording footage of him from behind the scenes, but they don't want to reveal him to the public out of fear they'll start a moral panic.

The Mudokons and Sligs will pull off an Enemy Mine.
Considering how they're both oppressed species at the mercy of the Glukkons.

Dripek has a bigger role in the rebooted continuity.
Probably as a right-hand man to Lady Margaret.

Phleg will fill the role of The Starscream previously taken by Aslik.

Lady Margaret has prosthetic spider-legs in the rebooted continuity.

Molluck will get prosthetic arms.

Lady Margaret will get a Disney Villain Death in the Grand Finale.
