    Pre-release theories
The Eternals were the inspiration for Camelot in the MCU
Their battle with the Deviants during medieval times were the inspiration for Camelot. Aditionally, Phastos created a weapon to help the humans defend against the Deviants should they return, the Ebony Blade, and gave it to a man named Percy, who became the 1st Black Knight. The Eternals eventually took the blade back after Percy's death. This might be how Dane gets the Ebony Blade and becomes the modern Black Knight.
  • Maybe, Makkari has kept Excalibur and it's mentioned Arthur had a crush on her.

There will be a cameo of a young Thanos during a flashback on the planet Titan in Eternals
During a flashback on the planet Titan, we would see a young version of Thanos who would suffer bullying and intimidation due to his appearance similar to a Deviant, since he inherited the mutant deviant gene in him, Thanos would be an outcast and in him would begin to grow his violent and psychopathic attitudes as he sees that the overpopulation in Titan is growing little by little and the resources in Titan are running out.

  • Jossed... but Eros is described as Thanos's brother, to the confusion of the others.

A'Lars, Thanos's father, will appear
A'Lars will appear as a scientist and leader of the Eternal settlement on Saturn's real-life moon of Titan, and he will named by the title of "Mentor".

  • Jossed.

Either the background story of the film or the main plot will involve dealing with the origins of the Infinity Stones, or dealing with their current disappearance
So far, not much clear details have been given with the nature of who created the Infinity Stones—and the presumed Cosmic Entities responsible are likely to be mythical creatures too (what with Loki (2021) doing this with the Time-Keepers). It is not without reason that the risks the Eternals will be facing (behind and outside the Deviant threat) might deal with how the loss of the Infinity Stones in our main timeline are also enabling threats within it. There is also the possibility that either one (or all) of the Eternals have had history with the Infinity Stones as well—and might in fact work towards restoring them to tangible form.

  • Jossed, the opening crawl mentions the singularities that led to the Stones, but they are never brought up (though the Blip figures into the plot).

Future films will follow the comics in regards to replacing actors
Following the comics in universe reason for Sprite and the others updates to match the MCU, the MCU will pull something similar once actors start to noticeably age.

Kro will be reimagined as a Variant of He Who Remains
IMDB has implied that Jonathan Majors will play a role in the film, so it's possible that his character could be Kro. If that's the case, then he could be the first of the many Variants He Who Remains teased at the end of Loki.
  • I can't see them replacing such an important character like that. Maybe a cameo during the mid credits to further his goals.
  • A few problems with this idea; For one, Kro likely has his own complex, cosmic backstory (the Deviants are created by the Celestials, at least in the comics). Second, Kevin Feige has said that they probably wouldn't be doing Eternals if it weren't for Chloe Zhao's pitch, which was made well before Loki was in the works. Third, what would be the point of this beyond teasing Kang's appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, especially if Kro's still meant to be a distinct character anyway?
  • Judging from all the contradictions given here, and Kro's voice sounding unlike Jonathan Majors, jossed.

The true Big Bad of the film is one of the Eternals
Specific predictions:
  • Ikaris
    • Confirmed.
  • Sprite, if the film takes any cues from Neil Gaiman's miniseries.
  • Druig, who's rumored to be in cahoots with the Deviants.
    • Reinforcement: he looks shady as hell in the trailers. However, it could be a Red Herring to distract from another Eternal.
  • Thena, given her appearance with Kro in the trailer and their relationship from the comics, he may convince her that he’s on the side of right. Which leads me to…

  • While not the main villain, Ikaris is the one who turns against his own, and Sprite follows him.

Kro and the Deviants are not the villains
Given what Captain Marvel did with the Skrulls. And the fact that the Deviants origins and overall relationship with the Eternals from the comics can be read as somewhat problematic within certain context (i.e. the beautiful, “genetically pure”, supermodel-looking god people are the good guys that live up in the heavens and are worshipped as deities while the hideous, scary-looking monster people are the bad guys, considered impure, and view as mistakes/“genetic failures“ that should be eradicated as they’re forced to live/hide underground).

  • Confirmed - but only in that they're not the main villains, because otherwise they are antagonists.

The Eternals and the Deviants will join forces
To build upon the previous two theories above. Near the end of the film, both races will put aside differences and work together.
  • One of the ways that Kro could bring Thena and the rest of the Eternals to his side is by showing them that the Celestial are cruel, uncaring creators that simply enjoy playing god and that they view all life on: Human, Eternal, and Deviant alike as nothing more than their playthings at best and insects at worst.

  • Jossed.

The Celestials are true villains
As stated above, the Celestials will prove to be the real threat the Eternals must defend against.
  • Which wouldn’t be to far fetched as the Celestials have always been portrayed as being very impartial. Not caring for the lives of billions, which they see as insignificant and beneath them.

  • Confirmed.

The actor who plays Kro
We got a glimpse of Kro in the second trailer, and we got to hear him speak. However we still haven't got an idea on who actually plays him, since his actor wasn't revealed—so feel free to speculate.

  • Antonio Banderas: He appears to have a slight accent, and him leading the Deviants could be analogous to the leader of the Eternals being Ajak, played by Banderas's occasional collaborator Salma Hayek.
  • Dan Stevens: Personally, I don't hear it myself, but I know it's a popular guess in some circles, so I thought it'd warrant mentioning.
  • Gil Birmingham: He's one of the handful of confirmed cast members whose roles are unknown. While most are likely no more than secondary characters with small roles who wouldn't warrant having their characters' names be announced ahead of the film's release, it wouldn't be a stretch to suggest that one of them, like Birmingham, may actually be the one who was cast as Kro.

  • Jossed; it's Bill Skarsgård.

By the end of the film, the Deviants will ally with Kang or another variant of He Who Remains
In The Kang Dynasty, the Deviants were part of Kang's forces. Given how Kang's being built up as the Big Bad of Phase Four, the Deviants can join him in his conquest after their battle with the Eternals. And if not him, the Deviants can instead team up with another of He Who Remains's variants instead.

  • Jossed.

There is no external conflict or it is not the primary one, Eternals will fight each other over some moral dilemma related to the "emergence"
On the Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism, Sersi will be the most idealistic, and Ikaris the most cynical of them, and the rest will have to pick a side.

  • Confirmed - even if the emergence does bring sort of an external conflict in that the Deviants have returned.

The "emergence" is a birth of a Celestial
The Eternals were tasked with protecting his seed/egg that feeds on the energy of earthen species as they proliferate and evolve. His birth will destroy Earth. The Eternals have to choose whether to proceed with their mission or to protect humans whom they initially treated like an expendable energy source.

  • Confirmed with extreme precision!

Ikaris kills Ajak early on
She is absent from some of the group shots in the trailer, and he is briefly shown shooting fire beams while visiting her.

  • Expanding on this, Ajak might try to prioritize their mission over protecting humanity, forcing Ikaris to clash with and possibly kill her so she doesn't try to stop them.

  • Sort of - he throws her to the Deviants that kill her. And exactly because she's having second throughts.

Dane will not become the Black Knight in this film.
There's already a massive cast and story to handle, so giving Dane a full-on Super Hero Origin might be a bit too much to work in around everything else. However, the events of the film (probably in The Stinger) will set him on the path to becoming the Black Knight properly in a later MCU property (either a film or a Disney+ series).

  • Confirmed, down to the post-credits alluding to it.

Dane is Sersi's Replacement Goldfish for Ikaris
Sersi is said to have been in love with Ikaris and Dane resembles Ikaris enough that the two actors once played brothers.

  • Confirmed.

Sprite will die.
By the time we get a sequel to Eternals, Lia McHugh will have probably visibly aged too much to play an ageless immortal.

  • Futhermore, Sprite was an antagonist in Neil Gaiman's miniseries. If the same holds here, well, Joker Immunity does not always carry over to film.

  • Alternately, she will be stripped of her powers, either by the Celestials (if she stays heroic) or the other Eternals (if she goes rogue).

  • Another possible route they could take is pull from the 2021 series and establish Eternal resurrection as existing in this universe, which would give Marvel an excuse to either recast the role (which they could then theoretically use with any of the cast if necessary) or use it to justify keeping Lia McHugh as she ages in real time.

  • The second one was mostly right - she is made into a human so her Not Allowed to Grow Up status could be ended.

The movie will introduce Mutants
The Deviants will have gone into hiding thousands of years ago, and the more humanoid ones will have interbred with humanity. This gave rise to a small but growing number of mutants. Some of the Eternals will want to protect them, seeing them as an extension of humanity and evidence that the extermination of the Deviants was not noble, but eugenicist. Others will want to continue the purge, seeing the mutants as threats on par with the Deviants.

  • Jossed.

The Emergence is a lie
It wouldn't be the first time somebody used Thanos' actions as a cover story. Ajak will convince the other Eternals that "the Emergence" is coming in order to control them, but it's just a cover for her own villainous actions.

  • Jossed.

The scene where the Eternals fight before a city's gate is an allusion to Mesopotamian myth
In Mesopotamian mythology, the hero Gilgamesh defended Uruk against a monstrous bull summoned by an angry goddess. Given that in the first trailer we see Gilgamesh and the Eternals defending a city with walls similar to the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, this could be depicted as the in-universe origin of the Gilgamesh myth, with an attacking Deviant inspiring the bull-monster.
  • Adding further credence to the theory is that at this timestamp in the "Return" teaser, the Deviant that Gilgamesh fights has two large horns.

  • Kind of - Sprite even shows the locals projections about Gilgamesh.

Related to the above: the Bash Brothers relationship between Thena and Gilgamesh may mean she is in fact the inspiration for Enkidu.

The Eternals will have a flashback with Thanos
Given the fact that The Eternals do know about who Thanos is, a flashback will reveal there encounter with him.

  • Jossed.

The Stinger will have the Eternals help the Avengers
Since Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has revealed that Shang-Chi is now a member of the Avengers, The Eternals will likely be helping the Avengers.

  • Jossed.

The Stinger will have Black Knight join the Avengers
Shang-Chi was revealed to have joined the Avengers in a post-credits-scene, So, it might be possible that Black Knight will likely be joining them.

  • Jossed, though Black Knight is in the post-credits.

The Stinger will have The Eternals go on a journey
Given that Shang-Chi has been sent on a mission to learn about the Ten Rings, The Eternals will likely go on a mission to somewhere.

  • The journey is in the final scene. But the first stinger is them being found by someone in the journey.

Kro will be the Big Bad
Given that he is the leader of the Deviants, and an archenemy of the Eternals, he may be trying to conquer the earth, and stop the Eternals.

  • Jossed, he is a villain, but not the main one.

There will be backstories of each member of the Eternals
Well, given that a few Marvel Heroes have been getting backstories, each of the Eternals may have their backstory be revealed.

  • There is an overall backstory for them. But not so much for each character.

The Eternals will help the Avengers
Given that Shang-Chi has been revealed on helping The Avengers, The Eternals may help The Avengers in a post-credits-scene.

  • Jossed.

The Avengers will help the Eternals
One of the post-credits-scene will reveal one of the Avengers helping the Eternals.

  • Jossed.

The Eternals are picking up the members to stop Kro
Given that the trailer has The Eternals pick up a few of their members, they may be getting them to stop Kro.

  • It starts that way, but then the plot thickens.

Kro is planning on conquering Earth
Given that the Deviants are shown in the trailer trying to hurt people, Kro may be going to plan on invading Earth.

  • Jossed, he only wants revenge on the Celestials.

The Eternals will stop Kro from conquering Earth
Given that the Eternals are superheroes, it is likely that they are going to stop him from invading Earth.

  • They start wanting to stop the Deviant resurgence. But other things come out, specially given the enemies not there for conquest.

Druig will have a Heel–Face Turn
Given that Kro is revealed to have also been a former member of The Eternals, it is possible that once he sees the error of his ways, he will re-join and help the Eternals in defeating Kro and the Deviants. Also, he was shown along with the rest of the Eternals.

  • Jossed.

Arishem will be the Big Good of the film
Given that he will be appearing in the film, he may become this if it reveals that he was the one who created the Celestials and Eternals.

  • He did create both... but man, does this get Jossed.

Black Knight will help the Eternals
Given that he is a friend and ally of the Eternals, he may be helping them save the world from the Deviants.

  • Jossed, Sersi specifically asks him to keep his distance and so he barely figures into the plot.

Black Knight will meet one of the Avengers
Given that he has already know who Thanos is, he may meet one of the members of the Avengers.

  • Jossed.

The Eternals will be convinced to stop Kro by breaking one of the rules
Given that Black Knight has called out Sersi and The Eternals for not stopping Thanos from erasing half of the universe.

  • Jossed, they wanted to stop him in the first place.

Sersi will be the main protagonist of the film
Well, given that she is one of the members to appear in the trailer, she may become one in the film.

  • Confirmed, she's the most prominent and top-billed.

Thena will be the one who will stop General Kro
Given that she is shown battling Kro in the trailer, she may be the one who will defeat him.

  • Confirmed.

Thena will sacrifice herself to save The Eternals
Given that she is shown to be brainwashed by Kro during the battle, she may try to sacrifice herself to save her team to stop him and the Deviants.

  • Jossed.

The Eternals will continue protecting Earth
Given that the Avengers (Including Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Shang-Chi) have been protecting and saving Earth from evil threats, it is possible that after defeating the Deviants, The Eternals will still be continuing protecting Earth.

  • Some leave Earth to seek the Celestials and save other planets. The others are found by Arishem and vanish afterwards. So who knows what's ahead for them.

The Eternals will continue their lives after defeating the Deviants
The Eternals will continue their lives after defeating the Deviants but will continue saving Earth.

  • Well, they attempt.

One of the Eternals will return on their home-planet
Given that Sprite has been looking like a child for centuries, it is possible that after the battle, she will likely go back to her home planet with one of the Eternals.

  • It's revealed they don't have a home planet, except if you count the World Forge in which they're made. But some of them leave on the Dome to seek it.

One of the Eternals will meet Falcon and The Winter Soldier
Given that it was hinted that Sam and Bucky will appear in a possible post-credits-scene, it may be likely that the Eternals will meet them, and will realize that they were members of the Avengers.

  • Jossed.

Black Knight will show some of The Eternals to one of the superheroes.
Given that they know Black Knight as an ally and friend, he may show some of The Eternals to one of the superheroes, presumably The Avengers.

  • Jossed.
The Stinger will feature Sam Wilson as a callback to Steve being called Captain Rogers
If the Eternals have no choice but to reveal their existence to the world to stop Kro, this might get the Avengers' attention and Sam will be sent out to talk with them. As a bonus, Bucky could come with and acknowledge how eerily similar Ikaris looks to him.

Jossed.

Eros, Thanos's brother, will appear as The Stinger in a post-credits scene, thus working his introduction into the MCU and thus his future appearance as a new member of The Avengers.
In the comics: Eros is the brother of Thanos and son of A'Lars, he and Thanos have an interesting duality of brothers:

Eros represents love, while Thanos represents hatred and death in the comics.

Eros has the power to psychically control other people's emotions. He was a member of the Avengers and Dark Guardians, Eros was had a relationship with She-Hulk... even the two of them had a night of passion.

Harry Styles will reportedly play Eros in Eternals and upcoming Marvel Studios productions. Maybe in the future, Eros will become a new member of the Avengers, and he will congratulate the old and new Avengers for defeating his evil and mad brother Thanos, even, Eros could be in a romantic relationship with Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk like in the comics.

  • Very confirmed, down to the actor! But the Avengers connection is to be seen.

    Post-release theories
The voice speaking at the end of the second stinger is...

  • Nick Fury - recruiting new heroes is very much on-brand for him.
  • Uatu - after the conclusion of What If…? (2021) he's no longer abiding by his Alien Non-Interference Clause, and just like Fury, could be looking for new recruits for a higher purpose.
  • Blade - the man knows a thing or two about swords.
    • It was confirmed to be Blade.

The Eternals and/or Celestials were responsible for Vibranium.

The meteorite that struck Wakanda and gave them Vibranium was either sent by, or a piece of, a celestial. Or it was given to the Eternals to give to them. Would make sense, they were responsible for furthering human evolution for the Emergence.

Tiamut will become the MCU's version of Avengers Mountain.
While Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings did reveal that the Avengers as an organization are still somewhat active, to what extent is still unknown. However, when the team does eventually come back together (i.e. reassemble) they're going to need a new headquarters. As Avengers: Endgame left the state/future of Avengers Compound very unclear as to whether it would be rebuilt or not.
  • Plus the MCU has thus far brought two of the team's most iconic bases to life on the big screen already with both Avengers Tower and Avengers Compound(which is basically the MCU version of Avengers Mansion from the comics).

All the Eternals that died will return.
As the Eternals do have a history of dying, only to respawn afterward in the comics. Which leads me to...

The World Forge will become the MCU's version of the Machine/Olympia.
Given that the film took the time to both showcase and explain not only the Forge but also the premade Eternal bodies and they made it a point to state that Arishem has the collective memories of every Eternal stored away there. It's save to say that any direct sequels or continuations of this film's story could see the Eternals taking the World Forge from Arishem and Celestial control in general and using it to not only resurrect all the Eternals that have died, but also use it to create an actual Olympia. Essentially taking their destiny and fate into their own hands by turning Arishem's lie into a reality.

The Eternals will be having two sequels, a second and third film
Given that the caption has revealed The Eternals “will return”, it is likely that they will be returning in two sequels that will be focusing on them.

The Eternals will eventually run into the Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain Marvel in a sequel
Either of them could make a brief cameo appearance to help them, or maybe even co-star like some of the other MCU films have been doing. It would fit in nicely with the other non-Avengers team-up films like Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor: Love and Thunder and The Marvels. Plus, imagine the Eternals' reactions to Star-Lord being the son of a Celestial that he and the Guardians have already killed.

The Eternal Legba will be introduced and be the key to Gilgamesh being revived.
In the comics, Legba didn't have any unique power (that I can find anyway), but in the MCU, he'll be given powers loosely based on the role his namesake Papa Legba, a figure in Haitian Vodou. Specifically, Legba will have the power to let other Eternals speak to their late fellows in some sort of otherworldly realm. This will, in turn, lead to a powerful, but forgotten Eternal (maybe Zuras?) revealing to the main group the key to reviving members of their kind. Taking a cue from the 2021 comic series, it'll be the lives of mortal beings, sacrificed to the World Forge (or something similar to it created by Phastos) in exchange for a specific Eternal. Understandably, even though they'd very much like to have Ajak or Gilgamesh back, none of the group would be comfortable with this. Ultimately, a sole human ally of the group will willingly sacrifice themself to bring back Gilgamesh in their time of need. Possibly Karun, as the group debating whether they should agree to such a thing would make for good drama.

Every group of perceived deities in the MCU are Eternals who broke their cycle.
The Asgardians were amongst the first to do so and Asgard itself was a chunk of the celestial planet that survived. The Earth eternals were written into Greek and other mythologies just like the Norse did with Thor and co. so they will likely have a connection to Zeus as well as Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder.
  • If that's true, then Gorr's ultimate goal in Thor: Love & Thunder could be to grow powerful enough to kill a Celestial, such as Arishem.

In the MCU, Eros is not Thanos's biological brother.
Thanos being either an Eternal or a Deviant would make it kind of strange that the Eternals and Celestials never tried to stop him. Therefore, Thanos is just a regular Titan, while Eros just joined his family as part of his cover identity. Or, alternately, the Eternal family on Titan decided to adopt Thanos for some reason.
  • Alternatively, considering that A’Lars is somewhat of a scientist in the comics and assuming that his MCU counterpart is one as well. It’s plausible that he wanted to create an Eternal/Deviant and/or Titan hybrid. But for what reason, remains unknown.
  • Alternatively alternatively, Thanos is also an Eternal and Eros really was his brother. In the comics, Thanos was confirmed to be a Titan-born Eternal with hints of Deviant genetics (hence his appearance). While the Eternals in the film are described as being machine-like, they are also very much like organic beings (capable of eating, having sex and healing from injuries), so it isn't completely beyond the real of possibility that Eternals could have kids if they wanted to. This could explain how he was able to contend with the likes of Thor, Captain Marvel and the Hulk, as Eternals are shown to be nigh-invulnerable and incredibly strong compared to humans. This could also explain why the planet Titan was in pieces, suffering from low gravity and was off of its access; overpopulation caused a Celestial to emerge and leave what was left of Titan uninhabitable. As for Thanos' appearance, it is established that despite being artificially created by literal space gods, there can be defects (like how Makkari was deaf).

The events of the film set up the introduction of Galactus to the MCU.
Arishem ultimately will judge that saving humanity was not worth sacrificing Tiamut. He will then make sure that Galactus is made aware of the Earth's existence and its suitability for Galactus to devour.
  • Or, alternately. Arishem will decide that humanity is worthy, but Galactus will disagree, leading him to come after earth himself.
  • Either way, Tiamut would make a good Godzilla Threshold against Galactus, provided they find a way to wake it up without destroying the entire planet in the process.

Ego was a Celestial seed that failed to grow properly.
Ego was indeed one of the many seeds Arishem planted across the universe, but a disaster befell the planet he was growing on, that the Eternals present failed to stop. Arishem just assumed the seed died, and didn't bother to investigate any further. Ego, however, survived, and without a planet to gestate in, he was unable to properly develop beyond his brain. Also, without the guidance of the other Celestials, he didn't learn his true purpose, and instead developed his "Expansion" plan. note .

Kingo was only half right about Sprite being in love with Ikaris.
Sprite does love him, but it's not romantic in nature. Sprite's love for Ikaris is more of a familial love, like a mother and a son, or a sense of admiration.
  • Wouldn't that contradict her jealousy of Sersi and the whole "not being able to grow up" thing?

The Ebony Blade is a Symbiote.
The way the surface of the blade moved like liquid towards Dane's finger looked almost exactly like a symbiote, and in the comics the Ebony Blade has connections with Knull and All-Black the Necrosword (who's wielder, Gorr the God Butcher, is set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.)

Sersi absorbed Sprite's ability to create illusions.
Arishem's explanation of Celestials strongly implies that they operate on the conservation of energy, which suggests that Sprite's Celestial energy didn't just dissipate when Sersi turned her human. It is thus likely that Sersi absorbed the energy into herself, which would in turn give her Sprite's powers, much like how Kro gained Ajak and Gilgamesh's powers by absorbing them. This would also serve to make Sersi Truer to the Text, as her comics counterpart is also capable of casting illusions.

Thanos wanted to destroy half of all life to prevent the hatching of Celestials.
Near the end of Titan's lifespan Thanos discovered that the increase of its population would lead to the hatching of the Celestial who lived inside it. That's why he suggested killing half of all people on his planet, knowing that keeping the population below a certain level would keep the Celestial from having enough energy to hatch. After seeing Titan destroyed, he assumed the same must be true of all planets and set out to "save" them, and prevent the Celestials inside from having enough energy to hatch.

Arishem decided humanity is worthy and lets his Eternals continue to live on Earth.
Remember: The snap didn't just delay Tiamut's awakening, it also delayed that of every single newborn Celestial in the universe. And if humans hadn't reversed the snap, many of those would likely have never emerged from their planets, putting the Celestials in danger of going extinct. It's a given that the snap rendered Eternals on other planets unable to help their species' numbers be restored under their own power as well. Arishem knows full well that destroying Earth won't bring Tiamut back, and in spite of his Lack of Empathy, he's more concerned about the Celestials' survival and is reasonable enough to see that Tiamut's death WAS worth it because the humans of Earth ensured the emergence of potentially tens of thousands of other Celestials.

Ikaris inspired the writers who created Superman in the MCU
  • They inspired tales in the past, why not ones in more modern times.
    • For good measure, maybe Thena inspired Wonder Woman.

The Set animal is a Deviant in the MCU universe
  • A major Egyptian god, Set, was merely claimed to be the Set animal, and even today what the Set animal was isn't known and is up for debate. A deviant fits that role perfectly: A mysterious creature active around the time of ancient Egypt, that vanished long before archeologists started digging up and examining hieroglyphics, carvings, and tombs.

Karun Patel was able to complete his documentary
Sure, his cameras were smashed, but the SD cards in them should be just fine.

At some point in production, Gilgamesh and Phastos's roles in the film were swapped.

Gilgamesh's relationship with Enkidu in The Epic of Gilgamesh is often interpreted as romantic, making him the most logical Eternal to give Adaptational Sexuality, and Phastos's power is his great intelligence, making him the most logical Eternal for Kro to consume to become sapient.

Sprite still has her powers, and will join the Young Avengers
The rest of the Eternals are off in space setting up their own sequel, and the only hint towards the future besides that is of Dane, who was just a side character in this film. Sprite joining an team would give the film a stronger connection to the MCU.
