Cowboy Bebop at His Computer: Graffiti Entertainment's description for the English version of the game states that Windy was "based on a Japanese anime series", even though 1) the name of the series was never mentioned, 2) no such anime series actually exists, and 3) Izuna and Shino, who got their start in their own video game series, are included in their box art and are featured as opponents in every character's story mode.
Franchise Killer / Stillborn Franchise: While not an official Izuna game, the presence of Izuna and Shino was played up in marketing for both its Japanese and American releases. Windy's failure not only derailed any plans for a sequel, but it also killed off any hopes of Izuna making a return for a third game in her own series.
Not Screened For Critics: The U.S. release only received one professional review after its release, likely due to scheduling delays (see below entry).
Schedule Slip: Windy was originally scheduled for release in the U.S. on January 12, 2010 (on the same day as Sands of Destruction), but had its date pushed back multiple times until finally settling on May 27 of that year.
