• Ensemble Dark Horse: Ashley, one of the very few characters who isn't lifted from an outside source. Some players wished she could have shown up as a playable character in a different (and much better) game.
• Game-Breaker: Ashley's special attacks hit multiple times in rapid succession, giving her foes no time to retaliate thanks to the broken combo system (there is no lag time between hits, so if a multiple-hit attack lands, all subsequent hits will land no matter what).
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Stin, the Bridget look-alike, is mistakenly identified as a female in the ending of the English translation (no one else mentions Stin's gender through conversation). In Japan, Stin is a male who just dresses funny.
