• Bad Export for You: The CFK Co. releases of games 1, 2, 3 and 5 have been heavily criticised for a very poor localisation, with a "Blind Idiot" Translation and loads of bugs. Only the rerelease of 2 managed to get a 'Positive' review on Steam, and even that's largely because of residual nostalgia for the leaked Intracorp version of the original DOS game.

  • There’s Catshi, a Korean artist who illustrates some of CGs for Princess Maker smartphone game. You can see his Twitter, Naver Blog, Facebook, and Pixiv accounts.
• Shout-Out:
  • The English beta had an Easter Egg where, if the player inputs around 30 random characters for their daughter's name, the game will give them a daughter named "Olive Oyl".
  • One of the assassins in Princess Maker 5 is a fairy doll named Cornet. She's even an expy of Kururu!
  • One of the achievements in the Refine edition of Princess Maker 2 is "She took how many cakes?!". There's also one called "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm Okay".
  • The achievement you unlock when you got the "Ruling Queen" ending in PM2 Refine is called "Hail to the queen, baby!"
  • Beast Hunter ending in smartphone game, the costume and the gigantic weapon, I think you know it somewhere...
• Sequel First: The 1995 beta and 2016 release of Princess Maker 2 were brought to the US before the first title.
• Sequel in Another Medium: Played for Laughs. There’s a manga comic called Princess Maker 1 ½ from DengenkiDama V3 MEDIAWORKS（電撃玉）(1993) which was an Alternate Continuity based on the second game.
• Troubled Production: The English version of Princess Maker 2 was all set to be published by Intracorp in 1995, but the publisher went under not long after. The dominance of first-person shooters in the PC market and the obsolescence of MS-DOS also played a big part in killing the game's English release. The beta leaking onto the internet is the only reason anyone ever played it in the West. In 2016, CFK finally did an official English release onto Steam, though using a newly translated script that reeked of "Blind Idiot" Translation.
• What Could Have Been: In Akai Takami’s Princess Maker Artbook (here), he had drawn some concepts and the daughter’s design for first third games, including the initial designs and concepts for the fourth game (The girl is based on a quiz spin-off Princess Maker Q) before it’s completely canceled due to some circumstances and Naoto Tenhiro took over in designing the arts and the story gets rewritten. This unused concept predates the released fifth game which the main world setting is in modern Japan world and Cube’s ability to transform into a dog.
