Trivia / MegaMan NT Warrior (2002)

• Acting for Two: Quite provident in both Japanese and English with several operators sharing the same VA as their Net Navis.
• Creator Backlash: Brad Swaile doesn't look back too fondly on many of his anime roles before he hit it big as Light Yagami in Death Note, including this one. But hey, it's still better than his role as Kicker Jones.
• Directed by Cast Member: The French dub was directed by Philippe Peythieu (who also voiced Yahoot) and Vincent Violette (who also voiced Maysa).
• Dueling Dubs: There were two English dubs for the series, one by Voiceovers Unlimited for Asian countries, the other by The Ocean Group for Western countries.
• Franchise Killer: Stream, likely for its massive deviations from the original plot and setting. Beast involved an obvious attempt to cull the wayward Sentai tropes^note Reducing the Henshin Hero cast to only Lan, Chaud, and Laika; involving more of the Cyberworld; integrating more elements from the video games, like widespread use of Copyroids and even allowing other Navis to Beast Out; etc., but the series was obviously on the way out by that point: Beast had about half as many episodes as Stream. Beast+ had a similar number of episodes, but only about ten minutes each.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Axess was never released to DVD, leaving no legal way to watch the English dub after it left Kids' WB! This also left the episode "SpoutMan's New Hero!" as lost forever, since it never aired in the US. Eventually Capcom uploaded the English dub to their YouTube channel to promote Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, and the episode is saved again.
• No Export for You:
  • Stream, The Movie, Beast, and Beast + never made it to North America. The RockMan.EXE manga series got an American release under the NT Warrior title, but Battle Story was only released in Europe.
  • Axess was never dubbed in Latin America due to the first season being Screwed by the Network by Jetix.
• The Other Darrin: Yuichiro was voiced by Hiroshi Nagano in the original series and Axess and by Tokuyoshi Kawashima from Stream onwards.
• Role Reprise:
  • In the Mexican Spanish dub, Guts Man is voiced by the same voice actor who voiced him in the Colombian Spanish dub of the Mega Man (Ruby-Spears) animated series. The reason for this is because that voice actor (Juan Carlos Tinoco) moved from Colombia to Mexico in the 2000s and he took the opportunity on reprising that role in this series.
  • In the Brazilian dub, Luis Carlos de Moraes, Dr. Wily's previous voice actor, also voices Lord Wily in the series.
• Screwed by the Network: The airing times were often changed constantly. The series was abruptly canceled right in the middle of a big story arc and left hanging.
  • The English dub of this show (and to a somewhat lesser extent Axess) was considered to be a big victim of Kids WB's management when some fans tried to defend ShoPro. Sho Pro's dubs on Toonami, namely Zoids and Hamtaro, were often deemed to be far better dubs; the English dub most likely would've gone better if it was made for Toonami, too.
  • Like many series that aired on the Latin American feed of Jetix that weren't called The Fairly OddParents! or Pucca, it was deliberate sabotage by the channel: Its timeslot was moved constantly, new episodes were never advertised, the first half of the series was rerun into the ground and it was removed very quickly (it arrived on 2004 on the channel and by mid 2006 it was completely gone). Due to all this, the series flopped badly in the region and Axess was never dubbed there.
