- Acting for Two: Most of which are in the English dub.
- In addition to reprising his role as the Charles Shop Clerk, Todd Haberkorn also voices Jin Kuwana.
- Likewise, Sungwon Cho also voices Tesso in addition to reprising his role as Tashiro.
- Zach Aguilar voices both Kento Amasawa and Doumou Okitegawa.
- Jamieson Price voiced both Masuda, the bartender at, well… Bar Tender, and Okuda, the chairman of Seiryo High.
- Phillip Reich reprises his role as Suzaki and also voices Mitsuru Kusumoto in this game.
- Ray Chase also reprises Koga and voices Ghost.
- Allegra Clark pulls double duty as Maika Takanashi and Mei Toribe.
- Cassandra Lee Morris voices both Kotoko Itokura and Yurie Norizuki.

- Content Leak:
- The game's title and boxart were accidentally leaked on the Japanese PSN store 14 hours before the game's worldwide reveal.
- The DLC Boxing style, and thus the entirety of the 2nd wave, was accidentally leaked via an update, a full week before the official DLC release, but only on Xbox consoles.
- Irony as She Is Cast: Skyler Davenport said on their Twitter account that they were cast as Akane, a bully to Koda, when they were bullied themselves when they were young.
- Late Export for You: One of the hidden Sega Master System games is Woody Pop, which was never released outside of Japan because it used a Japan-exclusive paddle controller. Here, the game has been reworked for normal controls similar to its internationally-released Game Gear port.
- The Other Darrin:
- In the English dub, Saori is voiced by Stephanie Sheh this time around instead of Aimée Castle for "logistical reasons".
- Masuda is voiced by Jamieson Price instead of Dave B. Mitchell in the English dub.
- Playing with Character Type: Even though Todd Haberkorn's role as Kuwana isn't exactly unfamiliar to him, the fact that Kuwana is nicer than most of his other roles while also being a Well-Intentioned Extremist with noble goals definitely makes this an interesting subversion of his usual work.
- Real Song Theme Tune: Like the previous game having [ALEXANDROS] for its intro, the opening intro to this one is set to "Rasen", performed by jon-YAKITORY and Ado.
- Role Reprise: Every returning character from the previous game barring Saori and Masuda in the English dub (see The Other Darrin above) is reprised by their voice actor, English, and Japanese.
- What Could Have Been: After the drug scandal involving Pierre Taki, it was stated immediately that Kyohei Hamura would not appear in any hypothetical sequels, meaning Hamura would not appear in this game.
