- Acting for Two: Masako Morishita portrayed Kirika and her human mother.
- Cut Short: The Tagalog dub only got up to episode 30.
- Dawson Casting: Only Junichi Katagiri (Shunsuke) was actually a teenager when he did the series. The rest of the rangers were in their early 20s.
- Milestone Celebration: The first episode was a clip show which summarizes all of the previous Sentai shows since Battle Fever J. All 48 Sentai warriors from said shows appear in the special to lend their support to the five Turborangers.
- No Export for You and No Dub for You: The aforementioned first episode clipshow never aired in the Philippines. A bit justified, despite three Sentai series that aired in the country are featured in there, but the rest didn't.
- The Other Darrin: Nobuo Tanaka is once again the show's narrator instead of Takeshi Kuwabara.
- What Could Have Been
- The Super Sentai Recap Episode which opened the series was originally planned for Liveman, the 10th Super Sentai from Battle Fever J, but was cancelled due to bad weather affecting shooting.
- Along with Sun Vulcan, Bioman and later Jetman, Turboranger was going to be the first Power Rangers series.
- Working Title: Gekisou Sentai Carranger. Amusingly, that title later got used for an actual sentai series, and it ended up parodying the more serious entries in the franchise (including this one). Also, guess what they named the US adaptation of the latter?
