Being set in a rape survivors' support group, With Pearl and Ruby Glowing is chock-full of tear-jerking moments.

    Main Fic
Part 1
  • Timon not thinking what happened to him was rape since his case was classic Dub Con.
  • Anna’s reasoning for not telling her sister? She’s worried that knowledge would destroy her.
    • Later, it turns out Elsa was also assaulted, and didn't tell Anna for the same reason.
  • Lampwick died here. In-Universe, the police have yet to find his body.
  • Kuzco's discovery that Yzma betrayed him might actually be worse than canon since here, Kuzco didn't actually do anything awful to her and when he calls her for help (and is painfully relieved when she picks up), he is told flat out that not only did the closest thing he had to a mother want him dead but she sold him as a Sex Slave just to make money off of him.
    • A later interlude revealed that he befriended Minty Sakura, who was around 8 and had been a Sex Slave pretty much her whole life, while captive and was forced to abandon her the day he escaped; finding a way to bring down the sex ring without mentioning her specifically is one of his main motivations for staying in America and he's clearly terrified that his friend and honorary little sister could end up dead before the people who have been abusing and using her can be brought to justice.

Part 2

  • Zim's abuse at the hands of Red and Purple, here a same sex couple, leads to mass demonization of the queer community, including Joy and Sadness, Jose and Panchito and multitudes more including Zim's foster parents. Dib feels terrible about giving that type of asshole ammunition for their vitriol and feels lost because of what it took for anyone to notice Zim's abuse, which has clearly mangled his mental facilities.
  • While it was because of Gem's manipulation, Harvey abandoned Sabrina at a party that wasn't safe for any of them for a girl whose every action was designed to make Sabrina miserable and the experience has broken her to the point that no one can help her rein in her temper. Not to mention that Salem was rearrested simply for helping Sabrina since he left the house against his house arrest protocols.
  • Cornelius' chapter features him relating that he still remembers Mike fondly and how deeply his Broken Pedestal for Ratigan hurts...and the chapter ends on him and Wilbur both being at the Palace at the same time so now Cornelius is aware of just how badly he's failed his son even if he doesn't know the details yet.
  • Danny's life has been ruined because Darla wants to be the only one in the spotlight and so invited him over so she could set him up as her rapist.
  • Nuka ended up in the hospital after Zira beat him in a fury and even before that, Zira forced him to care for baby Kovu instead of having a normal life.
    • Denahi has been made Vitani, Nuka and Kovu's guardian and while that's sweet, the unstated but obvious fact that it's as much to help him deal with his brothers being gone as it is to help them is heartbreaking.
  • Fiddleford's story ends on a recap of Ratigan's victims and highlights just how young and small most of them are and how fragile all of them have become because of the abuse.
  • With DW's chapter, Arthur now has two traumatized friends (as Muffy found DW and is now seeing a therapist due to her understandable freak out over what DW told her was done by her kidnapper), an angry and hurting little sister and parents who refuse to explain even though with what happened to Buster, he has at least some idea of what happened and it's clear he hates it all.
  • Misty is so damaged by her mother's abuse that she can't feel anything about her mother's death and wants to rip her own skin off so she scratches herself up so she can feel something.
  • Hiccup ended up running off into the hands of his assailants because his father didn't dispute Hiccup's angry question of "Can’t believe what?! That any kid of yours could be this much of a fuck up?!"
  • Not only did Chicken Little feel like a failure in everyone's eyes for most of his life but when King Candy tricked him into coming into the team's supply room, where he raped him, nobody (outside his friends who had to force the story out of him) believed his story, with his classmates all bullying him and the adults insisting that King Candy wasn't that sort of person and doing nothing to stop the bullying. Once the story breaks, everyone leaves him alone but he's still not sure if they actually believe that King Candy raped him now or if they've just forgotten about him completely. King Candy's death in prison has left him feeling like he's lost a chance for vital closure and while Buck found the Palace for him, Chicken Little is hurt that Buck couldn't even personally give him the card.
  • Foghorn lost his son Foggy Jr. (AKA Rocky) when the boy was 3 and in the intervening years, he was molded into the perfect Sex Slave and only recently started making any sort of progress towards a normal life. In addition, the therapist Foghorn intended to send Rocky to turns out to be secretly abusing Daffy and said therapist is also the one Mercury and Muffy saw. Reading between the lines leads to a heartbreaking scenario...
  • Cosmo and Wanda know about Vicky abusing Timmy but since she's smart enough not to do anything that would leave evidence, nothing can be proven.
  • Lenny no longer has a family because his attempt to spare Oscar's life got Frankie killed and if he went back to his father, even assuming he'd forgive getting his favored son killed, Don Lino would certainly start a gang war over Lenny's rape.
  • With Gary's story, Ash has had two friends victimized by their own parents and not only did he not help them but he dismissed their concerns; that's got to be killing him.
  • As Miguel Rivera relates, Ernesto not only got Hector killed but set him up so that God's Will First tortured him to death for supposedly preferring men despite having been Happily Married to Imelda. And now the Rivera family is a mess based of how recently Hector's death occurred, in contrast to the film.
  • Mew and Mewtwo have had their sibling relationship completely and possibly permanently ruined by their parents' abuse and Mewtwo's murder of their mother and Frame-Up of their father for the deed.
  • Despite missing his family horribly while Toad held him captive, Roddy was so traumatized by his kidnapping that he had to leave the UK entirely to have some hope of enough security to live without constant fear. Not to mention that despite Rita's reassurance, he still feels guilty that she left her own family behind to come with him.
  • Mr. Corduroy convinced Wendy that he wouldn't believe or care that she was gang-raped by God's Will First because their leader was a friend of his. She was wrong but it's heartbreaking that his unintentional neglect of both her and their relationship convinced her of that.
  • Hans preyed on Frankie's sympathy and job description (as Foster's is a homeless shelter here) and now her trauma is interfering with her ability to do her work so she's risking being unemployed.
  • Tramp was accused of raping Lady and was the victim of Prison Rape until he was cleared. And even after it was proven Lady consented, he still had to stay in prison for six months because she's underage and he's not, with prison staff all still thinking the worst of him.
    • And in the background, she mentions new evidence in the Dimple case so it's entirely possible we'll get a chapter where Danny tells his side of the story and the Palace crew will have to deal with thinking the absolute worst of a completely innocent man.
  • While Milo does have a small group of friends and even a loving fiancee, his students dread his classes and most of his colleagues are polite at best so he's very used to scorn and didn't press charges against Ratigan because he didn't think anyone with any clout would believe him.
  • Chel was unwanted by her mother and blames herself for getting Tulio and Miguel caught up in the Ark.
  • Kenai blames himself for the accident that killed Sitka; after the worst fight he and Denahi had ever had (and they had fought plenty), he runs off to take revenge on the woman their car crashed into and was captured by the Ark to satisfy people with a fetish from trans males. Then when he and Koda finally start warming up to each other, the brothel staff force Kenai to rape Koda on camera. He's able to convince the younger boy it's a sport for a while but when Koda is raped by a customer, he figures out the truth. Chel's arrival brings hope but their escape attempt is interrupted, forcing her to take Koda and leave Kenai behind, leading to Kenai being gang-raped into unconsciousness. Glomgold manages to rescue him but quickly shows a problem with misgendering Kenai and even though they're free now, Kenai can't initiate contact with Koda without the younger flinching, leading to Kenai considering himself a monster.
  • Koda's mom died from the injuries she got in the car crash and all of his relatives live in Alaska so the Department of Child Disservices decided to put him in Miss Hattie's Home for Girls (it was supposed to be temporary but that obviously didn't go well), where he's drugged and turned into a Sex Slave for the Ark, with Kenai's attempt at protecting him from the knowledge of what's happening to them being foiled by Koda's rape at the hands of a client with a race fetish. And in the present day, he's clearly heartbroken to hear Kenai call himself a monster, even using his "I don't like this story!" line from the original movie.
    • Rut and Tuk show up in Kenai and Koda's shared story but since they disappeared, their fates are unknown...
  • Huan's relationship with his brother is a total mess since his assault was the direct result of Batar Jr. pinning the rap for the White Fang disaster on Haun.
    • This chapter features digging into the corruption of the police force so we are treated to flashbacks of all the known victims of said corruption along with the statement that there are many more unknown victims.

Part 3

  • Neo spent years on the street without anyone caring about her, even losing her voice to illness, and her Parental Substitute got arrested trying to protect her and was yet another victim of the corrupt police force.
  • Charlie Brown struggled with how messed up Schroeder was over his abusive past and is heartbroken over his boyfriend's crippling assault (at the hands of a former friend no less) and ultimate suicide and desperately wants someone to blame, even contemplating accepting the blame himself.
  • Jackson and Holt lost their father in a fire at the school where he worked and Jackson was comforted for his grief while the flamboyant Holt was whispered about, with several family members accusing him of "making a scene". Their mother couldn't handle being reminded of her husband and so moved her boys to a new home. This brought the twins to a school where Jackson was harassed for being white (even though he's mixed race) and more well-off than many of his peers on top of being a quiet computer geek in a case of "punish him because other white people did shitty things"; Holt mostly ignored this because social life came easy to him. The divide between the pair hit its peak when their Love Triangle with Frankie ended with them brawling because she couldn't choose between them and wanted some time to think; Jackson got a slap on the risk while Holt was suspended, with the reason being all but stated to be because Jackson looks white. Then the duo gets caught up in a retaliation against a racist Halloween prank by a rival school and get arrested for a prank that someone else had already pulled. Holt is given the brunt of the cops' attention solely for his darker skin tone, up to and including rape and is painted as a liar for similar reasons. Huan's assault got everything brought into the open but it doesn't change the fact that Holt was victimized while his brother could only worry simply because of how genetics worked for both of them.
  • Pepe got drunk with Penelope and was labeled as a sex offender due to being just drunk enough not to realize she was uncomfortable; he was also victimized by corrupt cops and only didn't kill himself because he wanted to help prosecute said cops.
  • Not only was Danny the victim of a False Rape Accusation and numerous counts of Prison Rape (with at least one count of Mistaken for Gay due to him crying out for Sawyer and his assailant assuming such a name had to belong to another man) but his relationships are in disarray, he can't afford the therapy he desperately needs and all his physical trauma has made it impossible for him to dance, which means unless he miraculously finds a way to afford expensive surgery that might not even fix the problem, his most cherished dream is dead. His attempt at drowning himself fails due to outside intervention but it didn't change anything and Danny's plans to go home once the legal mess is sorted out may end his slowly restoring relationship with Sawyer.
  • Mako's whole life has been a string of bad luck and hard choices and even though he was never involved in the seedier aspects of the police department, he admits that he went into the job with all the wrong motives and when Varrick framed him for the Future Industries sabotage, he wound up being the victim of physical abuse and Prison Rape from prisoners and cops alike. Now he's HIV positive and really doesn't see the point of much of anything.
  • Mr. Ratburn was abused for his orientation by his stepfather and despite making a happy life with Patrick and his sisters, he was mistaken for a pedophile after recommending Ricky as Buster's tutor, with the parents of several of his students assaulting him. He refuses to press charges but ultimately that's taken out of his hands when one of the fathers who attacked him turns himself and his fellow assailants in, outright stating he's only doing it because Ratburn turned out to be innocent. And when he returns to school, Buster, Arthur, Muffy and Francine all work out why he was gone and actually think they're in trouble when he takes them aside to ask them to stop gossiping, forcing him to explain what happened as best he can...and he's not sure he did a good job.
  • Tink's friendship with Terrence was ruined because he refused to take "I'm a lesbian" as truth and thought that he could put Slipping a Mickey (even if he backed out) behind him.
  • Seven different dancers all had their lives ruined by the sexual abuse that went on at their studio and now their lives are in disarray because of the media circus surrounding it.
  • Chili and Chloe are the lone survivors of their group and were forced to eat the corpses of their companions to survive.
  • Elizabeth's assault indirectly caused some of her assailants to suffer at the hands of the corrupt police force. And while she regrets what happened to them, she can't regret getting them arrested.
  • Naveen was taken advantage of by a Gold Digger several times, including once when she was sober (or nearly so) and he was drunk enough that he couldn't say yes, and was caught The Baby Trap twice, the second time being when he decided to try for custody. And even though he thinks he's in love with Tiana, he's still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
  • Brer Rabbit wound up in jail because Brer Fox decided to get revenge on him for putting him in prison by setting Copper's uncles on him. Attempts at Briar Patching worked for a while but they eventually collapsed on him. Now he's struggling to cope with his trauma and the fact that he may never get closure.
  • Amity's parents spoil the twins due to them being miracle babies and when Luz, the first bright spot in Amity's life, manages to move from friend to love interest, Amity is compelled to cover it up for appearance's sake, even claiming what was consensual was Luz forcing herself on Amity. Because Amity is white and Luz is Latina, Luz's life falls apart and Amity is forced to be an Unreliable Narrator and claim Incompatible Orientation because she can't handle having destroyed the best thing in her life.

Part 4

  • "A Sermon about Dying Virtues and Living Sins":
    • After everything Nuka's been through, from his mother repeatedly raping him and then making him care for the resulting baby Kovu to beating him into hospitalization, he ends up dying when the remnants of GWF attack him and several others.
    • Wilbur was put into a coma from GWF's attack with no signs of improvement since then.
  • Mr. Wolf lost his relationship with his partners because he was willing to forgo his pride via becoming a prison snitch to keep them safe in prison and refused to have sex with Marmalade, who revealed the truth as revenge, and no one other than Diane has any form of sympathy for him.
  • Even after everything Charlie did for Anne Marie, she still cuts contact with him once she learns from her foster parents that he's in prison for killing her mother, which he was actually framed for by Carface.

Water Of The Womb

  • Soren's mind in his chapter is...not a great place.
  • Miko's parents disapprove of her video games so much that when she abruptly stops wanting to play them, they are pleased with this instead of seeing this as O.O.C. Is Serious Business and don't realize what exactly is going on until after the truth about what Ricky did to Buster comes out and only then because their two youngest witnessed Ricky raping and belittling Miko and as such, when given the classical "not letting anyone touch you where you don’t want to be touched", told Geoffrey what they had seen, with him naturally relying this to their parents.
  • All the Cocomelon kids and their parents wanted to do was make fun videos for people to enjoy, but they were bombarded with negative comments accusing the parents of horrible things. It came to a head when a man broke into the house and attacked the mom to kidnap J.J., which only failed because the father came home at just the right time, and the couple found out there was a website on the dark web where people discussed wanting to hurt the kids. This resulted in the parents privating all the videos and planning to delete the channel outright despite how much their kids loved it, as well as planning to sell their house to keep the kids safe. And to top it all off, people think what happened was all a hoax.

Heat Of The Heart

  • These stories put several people through the wringer.
    • Chip has managed to completely tarnish Gloria's reputation, making her look like a hysterical bitch who threw a False Rape Accusation his way instead of him being the Entitled to Have You bastard he actually is.
    • Lila got Marinette's family stalked by God's Will First, Chloe sexually harassed her, and a break-in ended with Marinette being outright raped. Now, both she and Adrien are so messed up by everything they've been through they're destroying their potential relationship without even realizing what they're doing.
    • Not only has Luz been pretty much destroyed emotionally by both Amity's betrayal and her time with the Ark but she can't even really properly enjoy writing fanfic anymore because Azura/Hecate has been soured for her.
    • Chris is truly devastated by the deaths/disappearances of several of his Campers but because of his behavior, the public has the completely wrong idea about him...and they're demonizing him, even letting his rapist off scot-free because of Chris's bad reputation.
    • Julian was convicted by popular opinion for murdering Anneliese and Erika and now refuses to believe his beloved Anneliese is alive.
    • Robbie got raped by his father's boss simply for dating the man's daughter and is now struggling with being bisexual because he can't tell if he's actually bi or if he's just rationalizing what happened. Not to mention his father is a massive homophobe which is making his angst worse.
    • Amelia is working for the Ark to get her beloved husband back, not only hating every second of it but putting every single person at the Palace in danger, which ultimately becomes even more tragic when it's revealed that Alrick was murdered by Simon, meaning that everything she's doing is All for Nothing.
    • Unlike in the episode "Temp Check", Mordecai is failing at Spot the Imposter and while one of the authors has hinted this will be eventually resolved, in the meantime, Doug has stolen Rigby's life and is keeping him as a Sex Slave while lapping up the sympathy Rigby actually deserves.
    • Freakazoid got raped by Mary Beth, and Cosgrove doesn't believe a word of it when he tries to tell him.

Holiday Specials

  • In the Halloween special, it's horrible enough that the Gravedale High students were sexually abused, mutilated, and kept in solitary confinement long enough for the wounds to fester, but what's heartbreaking is their teacher Max Schneider's impact statement for the trial details just how traumatized everyone is. Special mention goes to the line after Max explains that Vinnie hasn't been back to school and that he would rather let him fail than get the cops involved to make him come:
"Do you get it yet? Do you see what you've done to us? To all my kids?"
  • The Soyal special is hard to read, as all Jessica and Red wanted to do was share a video of their culture for the world to see, but instead, people use the video as an excuse to trash on both them and their culture.

    Side Fics
  • "In Harm's Way" is listing all the victims of God's Will First.
  • While "Denahi's Wolf Pups" is heartwarming in premise, it's also filled with flashbacks about his life with his brothers and the many ways he let Kenai down.
    • "Dehani in the Lion's Den" shows just how terrible Nuka's and Vitani's situation is.
      • Nuka and Vitani live in poverty at an apartment that looks ready to collapse.
      • Nuka bursts into tears at Vitani pointing out that Kovu is his kid.
      • Nuka admits to not loving Kovu and has considered killing him (citing Scar killing Mufasa) due to the stress of being forced to take care of him, and feels guilt over doing so. He's also considered killing himself, but feels like Vitani and Kovu need him.
  • In "Intermission: The Monsters' Daughter and the Boss's Son", Daisy and Silver, both captives of the Ark, ultimately suffer such severe cases of Break the Cutie that Daisy convinces Silver to shoot her and then himself.
  • "Cat's Out Of The Bag" deals with many Palace Members explaining to their loved ones (or in some cases, having the person figure it out on their own) just what happened to them.
    • Not only do Fred, Daphne and Velma find out that being raped is the reason Shaggy has such bad anxiety after he has a nasty flashback-fueled panic attack in front of them but Fred realizes that the assault is technically his fault because Shaggy wouldn't have encountered his assailant if Fred hadn't dared him to spend the night in an old abandoned house to prove he wasn't a chicken.
    • Basil Senior didn't care whatsoever that his son had been raped and didn't even realize how much it, along with his lack of care, was affecting his son until Wilhelmina tore into him over his treatment of Basil and revealed that he's missing.
    • One of the cops who raped Lori was the one who helped the Louds after Leni got raped, leaving her shocked at just how quickly the tables turned.
      • After the deed is done, Lori tries to tell off Jack for not doing anything to help her. He rightly points out that he couldn't have done anything other than get himself hurt as well.
    • Minty and Juby are horrified when they realize that they hurt Dewey in the same way King Candy hurt them.
    • After Timmy admits what Vicky did to him to Cosmo and Wanda, both of them want to tell his parents, but Timmy claims they won't believe him.
She [Wanda] wished to God he wasn’t right.
  • In Chapter 18 of Vet Visits, Wilhelmina has to put down Pussywillow the horse because he accidentally killed a boy. She knows it has to be done due to the other family pressing charges, but she's just as heartbroken over it as Marie is.
