On 18th July 2021, the OSC was challenged to draw, write and animate Object Shows based on a given prompt within 48 hours.
On 20th July 2021, legotd61 hosted the first annual 48 film festival featuring the submissions made during the time period.
The film festival allows aspiring OSC creators to showcase their works and talents while also supporting local charities through donation drives. The rules are simple, produce a short film from scratch, either by yourself or with a team, where the only "premade" aspects allowed are the music and open-sourced assets (Such as the BFDI files).
Once the 48 hours are up, the films are compiled and screened back-to-back with short Intermissions in-between during which and at the end, the viewers can vote using donationsnote for their favorite short(s). The short that accumulates the most amount of money wins "Best in Show" as well as bragging rights.
The playlist containing all the film festivals and shortsnote can be found here.
The shorts contains the following tropes:
- A Dog Named "Dog": Zigzagged.
- Aerith and Bob: regular human names
- A Lizard Named "Liz": "-y" suffix
- Alliterative Name: If the shorts are not named after the year's theme,
