  • Henpecked Husband:
  • Heroic Dog: The old dog from "Mom left me, but..." barked at something in the woods while the OP's family went on a trip. OP's dad opened it and found a baby, the family called 911 while the great-grandma nursed it back to health; she was a midwife back then. She tried to reach out to her father-in-law for help, but he left them both to die. Thankfully, firefighters came to their aid. • "I rushed home because my house was on fire... My wife lied that she was at home...": Mrs. Griffin calls her neighbor Max to alert him about a fire in his house, with his daughter Emma tearfully begging him to come back. However, he started suspecting Anna's behavior when she lied to him about being at home. When he told her that their home was on fire and then heard another man's voice from the other side, Max angrily demanded her to come home.
    • "Got an apartment with my sister…": Katie tried to break up with her boyfriend only for him to snap and try to set fire to the apartment. While it was put out very quickly before it could get worse, she was pretty much screwed since she failed to get fire insurance and thereby had to pay the damages herself.

    J-K

That night...": When an aunt took both her nieces' mother and the latter's boyfriend, Keith, to task for raping Jessica, the mother blamed Jessica for "seducing her boyfriend" and attacked her. However, the aunt slaps her for it, but Keith denies it and dares her to present evidence before leaving. However, their aunt had installed security cameras all over the house and used the footage as evidence, ending with the couple being arrested.
  • Jerk Jock: Clay and his minons from "The mean guy at school was jealous of me for talking to the new girl, so he framed me" bullied the OP for being a nerd; the latter couldn't do anything since the former knew karate and could beat him up. However, Clay's behavior escalates when the new girl, Ali, sits with the OP instead of him, which culminates with the bastard spilling yogurt over OP's desk to ruin his reputation. Much to the jock's dismay, he switched seats with Ali earlier on, which means he vandalized her desk.
  • "Just Joking" Justification: When Karin whipped out divorce papers after being picked on by her in-laws and husband for her unattractive appearance for so long, they all tried to dissuade her by saying it was just a joke, but she doesn't fall for it.

At my wedding, she attacked me, and…" Ashley resorted to overeating and drinking to cope with the stress of paying for Nancy's makeup and dress after ruining them in a last bid to steal Thomas from her. As a result, she gained weight and thus became unable to get a boyfriend, effectively suffering the fate she put Nancy through.

    L
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The antagonists will almost always get what's coming to them.
  • Law of Inverse Fertility: Justified in "She ruined her own wedding by revealing all sorts of stories about her past." Taylor aborted all pregnancies from her constant romps with her male fans when she was an "online star" and even after that before blowing her own wedding by revealing it all. When she marries another man and tries to have a baby, her hopes are crushed when told the aforementioned abortions and her age rendered her completely infertile, causing her husband to divorce her. Moreover, OP adds that it has been rumored among Taylor's colleagues that it was a revenge from the babies she aborted.

    • "The Police and I arrive at my ex-wife's house to see…": Claire was being assaulted by her stepfather after her parents divorced and her mother Penny took custody of her. Thankfully, Jake shows up to punch the bastard off of her. Turns out the stepfather did this out of spite and said he "paid 4 million yen to have her body," implying he married Penny just to have his way with Claire. This understandably pissed Jake off into beating him bloody.
  • Lethal Chef: A woman's mother-in-law is a terrible cook, and she was the first to tell her this as no one has the guts to tell her so.
  • Lethal Negligence: At the end of "Husband cheated on me and got another girl pregnant, but tried to give me the child," an acquaintance of the OP's called her about her ex-husband and mother-in-law getting fed up with childcare and left his mistress' disabled child to die because of the costs on top of the massive compensation debts racked up by the cheating ex-husband. However, a concerned neighbor heard the child's cries and called the cops on the mother-son duo, both of whom get arrested for negligence.
  • Like Mother, Unlike Daughter: Helen is a sweet girl unlike her mother Blair, and is friends with the protagonist's daughter Katy.
  • Locked in a Room:
    • "Caught my fiancée cheating on me…": Alex locked his cheating fiancee Ali and her lover Bob in the bathroom while they showered so he could take the latter's phone and message Bob's fiancé Katy to notify her of his affair. This earned the cheating couple the ire of both their parents and Katy's parents.

  • Look Both Ways: In "Stepfather said, Don't tell anyone if you love your mother…," A's stepfather was run over by a truck when on the run from the law and A's other relatives for molesting her. While the impact didn't kill him, it left him paralyzed and unable to speak, making it easier for the cops to collect him.
  • Lost Him in a Card Game: Sarah was gambled away by her father when he lost a gambling bet to Alan's father.
  • Lured into a Trap: In this story, Bob asks his wife Emily out for a date. When she noticed they were going to the hospital to visit someone, she turned pale after finding out the hospitalized man was her lover Kevin. Turns out he planned to divorce her and banished her to Kevin's apartment.
  • Lust Makes You Dumb:
    • Don is a police officer who cheats on his wife with a fellow police officer, which is stupid for three reasons
      • First, the place Don and his affair partner decide to have sex in? The police station's locker room. Unsurprisingly, he gets caught by his wife as well as the other officers.
      • Second, Don only married his wife, who's the district chief's daughter, in order to quickly climb the ranks, and never actually loved her. Even if he was more discreet and never he loved her, cheating on your boss's daughter is not exactly a good idea if you want to climb the ranks. Plus, even if he didn't get fired, his boss probably wouldn't be in a hurry to give him a promotion.
      • Third, him being fired for cheating on the police chief's daughter pretty much destroys his social life; his parents disown him, his ex-coworkers hate him for cheating on such a nice girl, and he's incapable of going outside without people mocking him.
    • The groom decides to have an affair with his ex girlfriend on the day of his wedding inside of the wedding venue; unsurprisingly, he and his ex get caught. To add to the humiliation they end up being taken to the hospital due to getting stuck together, sued by his ex-fiance, can't find a stable job due to his reputation, and disowned by his parents.
    • Karen and Thomas are coworkers who decide to have their affair in the office supply closet. Naturally, they get caught, sued by their spouses, gets disowned their parents, and severely punished by their boss. Even if they weren't married what they did could have still ended badly; as the boss pointed out, an office is no place to be having sex.
    • "My wife was paralyzed while cheating on me and riding her boyfriend…": This example crosses with Too Dumb to Live. Instead of booking a motel or going to her lover's house, OP's cheating wife decides to have her affair in the cramped living room of her husband's apartment, which leads to them accidentally breaking a nearby cabinet's leg in their lovemaking, causing it to fall on and wound them with glass shards. As a result, the cheating wife is rendered mute and paralyzed in one arm, while her boyfriend dies of exsanguination.
