  • "I had a miscarriage because my mother-in-law beat me": Kylie's mother-in-law forced her to miscarry her upcoming baby boy because she had it before her sister-in-law, whom she treated like a daughter. When the rest of the relatives raked the abusive hag over the coals for her stunt, she went to the SIL thinking she would be her only ally, but the SIL took the relatives' side and cut ties with her. Moreover, the MIL didn't take into account that Kylie was a registered dietician and thus deliberately took advantage of the hag's diabetes to feed her sweets in retaliation.
  • "This girl accused me of getting her pregnant, even though I was a virgin": Maria became pregnant with Mr. Garrison's baby but dumped him after finding out Taylor had a promising future at baseball. Moreover, she uses said pregnancy to baby-trap Taylor and become the wife of a baseball pro while threatening his friend, Melanie, with ruining Taylor's life if she spoke to him. However, she didn't take into account that the teacher she bedded would still have feelings for her, nor that Taylor was actually a virgin, which drove her plans into the ground. Moreover, she didn't foresee that Melanie would record her threats and expose her to the school. To top it off, the biggest flaw in Maria's plan would be that if she was successful, she could have ended up ruining Taylor's career as well.
  • "She ruined her own wedding by revealing all sorts of stories about her past": Taylor exposes her entire past (where she was sexually assaulted when she was 12, had multiple affairs and abortions as a high schooler and had another affair before meeting her groom) at her own wedding, hoping everyone would feel sympathetic for her. Moreover, she even bragged about it to the whole neighborhood while her son told his friends about moving into Ali's house. However, Blair didn't take into account that Ali's husband had a twin brother who mooched off of women and was willing to impersonate him in order to do so, nor that she would end up suffering what boils down to rape by deception. In other words, Blair's plan was screwed from the word "go" and everything went downhill for her the moment Ali told her the truth.
  • "Found out my husband was cheating on me, then…": Katy offered her daughter-in-law, Ali, a decent amount of money in exchange for divorcing Bob and letting him marry Blair instead. It turns out that, unbeknownst to the MIL and Melissa's family, Thomas racked up $80,000 in debt from gambling at horse races and was infertile on top of that.
