  • Bob's Burgers, notorious for its Pop Culture Pun Episode Titles, once did an episode where Gene is afraid to go to a sleepover at a friend's house. The episode's title? "Cheer Up, Sleepy Gene".
  • Family Guy: The episode "McStroke" features a Monkees-esque chase sequence set to "Pleasant Valley Sunday".
  • My Life as a Teenage Robot: There is an episode titled "Daydream Believer".
  • In Pinky and the Brain, when a ship captain warns he'll send Brain's submarine "to Davy Jones' locker", Pinky asks if he's talking about the Monkees member.
  • The Powerpuff Girls: In "Say Uncle", the Professor gets a letter from his brother saying "I'll be coming on the last train to Clarksville. Come meet me at the station."

    • In "Fear of Flying", Marge recalls her first day at school, where a classmate teased her for having a Monkees lunchbox because they don't write their own songs or play their own instruments.

    • In "The Bart of War", after Bart and Milhouse accidentally destroy Ned Flanders' collection of Beatles memorabilia, Chief Wiggum says that they'll be taking "The Last Train to Clarksville'", only for Lou to tell him that it's actually a Monkees song.
    • In "The Man Who Grew Too Much", a sign at the monkey research facility says it was "funded by Mike Nesmith and Mickey Dolenz".
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: In "SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One", a live-action Davy Jones greets the Flying Dutchman in his locker and sings "Daydream Believer" for him.
  • Young Justice: In the third season, Beast Boy is an actor on a sci-fi show as a character called "Tork", using his power for animal shapeshifting. Like Peter used to say, Beast Boy is also "sometimes a Monkee".
