Blatant Lies: Tristan convinces Serenity that he is the main character of the show, has more fangirls than Joey, and that said fangirls like to pair him up with Joey (though that last lie could be considered technically correct).
Butt-Monkey: Bakura spends the next three episodes getting whacked by various objects.
Bakura: I say, Yugi, can I be in this episode? (gets hit by holo-projector) Oh bugger!
Card-Carrying Villain: Yami is quick to point out how inconsistent Marik's evil plans are. Marik insists that the mere fact that he is evil is all that matters.
Curb-Stomp Battle: Yugi reveals that his battle against Jaiden in the final episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (which never got an actual conclusion) was this. Apparently, Jaiden started crying so hard that the network refused to air it.
Forced Meme: Yami accuses "Brooklyn Rage" of being this and urges Joey to only use his original Catchphrase (Nyeh). This ends up being Hilarious in Hindsight after it became an accepted meme on the internet regardless.
Generic Doomsday Villain: Yami easily defeats Steve the Rare Hunter because his status as such makes him hopelessly predictable.
Get Out!: Some guy gets kicked out of Domino City for heckling Kaiba.
Kaiba: For those of you who are unfamiliar with the rules of Duel Monsters, I will now explain them to you in detail. You start off by shuffling your deck- Heckler: BOOORING! Kaiba: Who said that? Who the [BLEEP] said that? I'm warning you, I'm not going to start this tournament until somebody owns up. Now who said it? Heckler: Sorry, that was me. My bad. Kaiba: Get the hell out of my city! Heckler:[walks away] Kaiba: Good. Moving right along...
