"No Bus, No Fuss":

Lincoln and pals have to deal with a trio of bullies on the bus.
  • Adults Are Useless:
    • The only figure of authority, Ernie the bus driver, doesn't do anything to stop the 6th graders on his bus from being bullied. However, he does join the kids giving the bullies an angry look.
    • Mr. Bolhofner cuts in front of Lincoln in revenge for Lincoln's mother cutting him up in traffic and, when the latter protests, Mr. Bolhofner merely snarks at him in response.
  • All There in the Script: The bullies' names are revealed in the credits to be Taylor (the girl), Anderson (the boy with the short hair), and Pablo (the boy with glasses). Their names wouldn't be spoken until "Tough Guise".
  • Big Sister Bully: At the beginning of the episode, Lynn Jr steals and eats Lincoln's breakfast burrito while mocking him for it.
  • Brain Bleach: After suffering a wedgie and getting tied to Rusty's underwear, Zach remarks that he knows way too much about Rusty and his birthmark.
  • Brick Joke:
    • During carpooling with Rita, she accidentally cuts in front of Mr. Bolhofner when another car steals her spot. Later, the latter cuts in front of Lincoln and his friends as payback for this, sarcastically telling the former: "Tell your mom I said hi!"
    • Rusty brags at certain points of the episode about a growth spurt which he just hit. Come the end of the episode, after the bullies are taken care of, Rusty suddenly grows a tad taller during a high-five, much to Stella and the others' surprise.
  • The Bully: The Terrible Trio of bullies, natch. If them beating up and giving wedgies to Lincoln and his friends wasn't enough, then they go the extra mile by extending this treatment to all the kids on the bus.
  • Butt-Monkey: Lincoln and his friends, not only are they getting picked on by the three bullies on the bus but all their alternative way of getting to school end badly for them.
  • Didn't Think This Through: The bullies. Beating up Lincoln and his friends because they were angry at them was one thing, but then moving on to beating up everyone else on the bus just because they could was overkill. It's not until Lincoln rallies the other kids to band together and threaten the bullies into backing down that they realized that antagonizing an entire busload of kids for no reason when those kids outnumber them, was a bad idea.
  • Hate Sink: The trio of bullies are utterly unlikeable to the point where seeing the other kids gang up on them is satisfying to watch.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: The bullies realize they're screwed when they see just how outnumbered they are against the angry kids, who are quite fed up with their abuse, and are forced to concede defeat.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: The eight graders give Lincoln and his friends this. Twice. We don’t see the beatings but given the bruises the gang gets, it must have been pretty painful. When the Action News Team stops taking the bus, the bullies begin giving the other kids this too.
  • Oh, Crap!: By the time the entire busload of kids, led by Lincoln, decide to stand up against them, Taylor and her friends realize that they have bit off more that they can chew.
  • Parachute in a Tree: Lincoln and all his friends end up stuck in a tree when they ask Flip to fly them to school, and have to parachute to the ground below.
  • Sadist Teacher: When Rita, in a moment of anger, changes lanes and cuts in front of Mr. Bolhofner, the latter responds by unfairly cutting in front of Lincoln in the middle of the student lunchtime queue. Despite being a teacher.
  • Safety Worst: Harold and Howard, as usual. They wrap their entire car in bubble wrap to keep the kids inside safe.
  • Teens Are Monsters: The three bullies are in eighth grade and therefore are either 13 or 14 years old.
  • Tempting Fate: Lincoln thinks the 8th graders might have cooled off after the incident on the bus in the morning. Oh how very wrong was he:
Stella: (upon seeing the school bus arrive, nervously) Ready to face those eighth-graders again?
Lincoln: I don't think we have anything to worry about. I'm sure they've cooled off by now.
(Cue the bus dropping off Lincoln and friends at the Loud House... with all of them bruised and their underwear tied together)
  • Terrible Trio/Two Guys and a Girl: The 8th grade bullies, who serve as the episode's main antagonists.
  • Too Dumb to Live: A friendly reminder that throwing manure on teenagers that are taller and stronger than you is not a good idea. Worst-case scenario: it will get you an atomic wedgie, as Liam learned the hard way.
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: When Liam's Meemaw drives Lincoln and company to school, her pig Virginia gets carsick and vomits on Clyde staining his shirt.
  • Wedgie: The bullies give Lincoln and his friends wedgies on the bus rides, and even tie Zach and Rusty's underwear together, and eventually all of them together after the second bus ride. It took the arrival of the fire department both times to free them. They also give wedgies to the other kids on the bus after Lincoln and his friends stop taking the bus.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Anderson and Pablo don't make exceptions with Stella and the other girls on the bus. Inverted with Taylor, who beats up the boys as well as the girls.
  • You and What Army?:
Taylor: Like you can stop us all by your puny self.
Lincoln: Actually, I'm not by myself.
(Lincoln's friends, as well as the other bullied students appear, and glare at the bullies. It dawns on the 8th graders on just how much they messed up.)
  • Younger Than They Look: The bullies are 8th graders and thus the same age as Lynn, but look to be closer to Luna or Leni's age.

"Resident Upheaval":

Lincoln and Clyde compete to see whose grandmas will stay in Sunset Canyon.
  • Brainless Beauty: Scoots's male friend, Tyler, is revealed to be this when he writes a 2 upside-down, and Scoots reveals that his good looks is the reason she likes him.
  • Decided by One Vote: Since Seymour and Bernie each vote for Myrtle and Gayle, it is up to Scoots to be the tiebreaker and decide who gets the room.
  • Duels Decide Everything: Scoots insists that Myrtle and Gayle should fight for the room. The two women don't want to, so Lincoln and Clyde take their places.
  • Everybody Already Knew: When their disguises fall off, Scoots reveals that she knew it was Lincoln and Clyde the whole time.
  • Friendship-Straining Competition: Happens with Lincoln and Clyde since they both want the extra room to go to their own grandmother.
  • Hidden Depths: Recurring characters and buddies of Albert; Seymour, Bernie and Scoots turn out to be the members of Sunset Canyon's board, the head being Scoots.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Even though it's very reluctant on her part, Scoots gives up her room when it's revealed that it's big enough to hold two people.
  • Mud Wrestling: Lincoln and Clyde do this in tapioca pudding while disguised as their grandmothers.
  • Mystery Meat: Sunset Canyon has mystery meat monday. Subverted, as Albert loves it. Apparently, the last meat served was rattlesnake.
  • Never Mess with Granny: While they don't fight in the episode, Nana Gayle practices kickboxing and she manages to cut a table in half with a karate chop, while Myrtle reveals she used to be part of the South American Wrestling Association.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: When their grandmothers decline fighting, Lincoln and Clyde decide to disguise themselves to compete in their place. Scoots sees through the disguises right away, but pretends not to so she can watch them compete.
  • Putting the Pee in Pool: Harold checks the water of the retirement home's pool, and it dissolves his test tube. Later, when he is pushed into the pool, he screams for someone to help him out of this "giant tolilet".
  • Security Cling: Myrtle jumps into Albert's arms when Seymour drives away at top speed in his cart.
  • Shout-Out: The episode's title is one to, of all things, the Resident Evil video game series.
