In a slapsticky homage to Looney Tunes theatrical shorts, a Vought scientist named Simon (Ben Schwartz) has grown attached to a baby girl (Jenny Yokobori), who has trouble controlling her laser eyes. Upon learning she'll be terminated by Superbrain (Fred Tatasciore) for failing her 20 days of observation, our hapless scientist tries to get the baby out of harm's way. Though the task won't be easy, even for Vought guards trying to reclaim the Laser Baby back, in a city-wide path of mayhem.

This short provides examples of:

  • 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: Unlike most of the vehicles seen through the short, the helicopter that attacks Simon and Laser Baby in the construction site is a 3DCG prop.
  • Affably Evil: Some of the soldiers actually high-five Simon as he’s sneaking Laser Baby out as they go to slaughter innocent super babies.
  • Badass Adorable: Laser Baby once she finally becomes able to use her laser eyes at will.
  • Big Bad: Superbrain is the head of Vought-doption and the one who put the termination order on Laser Baby.
  • Bloody Hilarious: Take typical Looney Tune violent physical slapstick but keep all the gory consequences instead of ashen faces.
  • Creator Cameo: Seth Rogen, who co-created of this short, appears in a red sports car while Simon vaults over traffic. He's smoking a blunt, while doing his iconic laugh silently.
  • Children Are Innocent: Laser Baby is just a sweet little baby girl with little understanding of the world.
  • Eye Beams: Laser Baby's power is firing lasers from her eyes.
  • Facial Horror: A Vought sniper gets his nose bitten off by a piranha.
  • Fatherly Scientist: Simon plays with the baby when the guards aren’t looking. When he discovers the baby is going to be terminated by Vought, he immediately goes to save her.
  • Fearless Infant: None of the perilous situations Laser Baby finds herself in seem to phase her.
  • Gentle Gorilla: The gorilla at the zoo might be aggressive enough to literally crush the skull of a man but is surprisingly friendly towards Laser Baby.
  • Homage: To classic Looney Tunes, as well as Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. Aided in this is the use of Snipple Animation, a regular for Warner Bros., on animation duties.
  • Mime and Music-Only Cartoon: The short's story is carried through background music, along with musical cues, and minimal grunts. Except for when Laser Baby says "Dada" near the end, no dialogue is spoken.
  • Mook Horror Show: All of Vought's mooks suffer horrifying deaths by Laser Baby or something else.
  • My Brain Is Big: The main antagonist Superbrain has an oversized cranium, cluing the audience to his telekinetic abilities.
  • Nice Guy: Simon and Laser baby are quite possibly the most heroic characters in the entire franchise, despite getting violent at end, but it’s in self defense.
  • Piranha Problem: The horse Simon rides ends up having most of its flesh eaten off after swimming through the piranha tank.
  • Sneeze of Doom: Laser Baby's eye beams tend to be triggered by her sneezing.
  • Sole Survivor: Laser Baby is the only of the infants to survive the termination order because Simon got her out in time.
  • Stripped to the Bone: The horse that Simon rode into the zoo gets eaten alive by a school of piranhas until it's nothing but a skeleton.
  • Stylistic Suck: Intentionally has film gran to mimic the style of the old cartoons it’s referencing.
  • The Voiceless: With the exception of Laser Baby calling Simon "dada" near the end, no one in the short actually speaks. They just make non-verbal grunts and other vocal sounds.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The employees at Vought are not above killing babies that are deemed to be failures or escapees. Hence Simon's eagerness to rescue Laser Baby.
